We have eaten at Taco Mac Cary a handful of times and never really had great service, but it wasnt awful service so we gave it several chances. Tonight however was the last time. I ordered delivery through Grub Hub (another terrible experience in itself). I have good allergies (Red Onions) - I ordered the mixed fajitas (steak & shrimp) paid $15+ tax. Made sure to add on the order NO PICO (it is full of red onions) I asked to sub diced tomato instead. My order got to me and it was wrong. There was no shrimp in the fajitas and there was pico (FULL OF RED ONIONS) in it. Called the restaurant to make it better. Rude manager (Kelly) basically told me it wasnt their problem, that Id need to contact grub hub. How is it not your problem? Your kitchen messed up the food. Grub hub is literally just the messenger. Take responsibility for your screw ups! After realizing that I would not be able to have my dinner corrected without reordering and waiting another 45-60 minutes for a new delivery my fiancé took the messed up dinner back to the restaurant to get what I ordered. They wouldnt make it right. They said because they refunded the charge - they didnt have to fix it. Maybe they didnt HAVE to fix it, but if we had been sitting in the restaurant eating they would have not only refunded, but made it right & we probably wouldve gotten free desert. Customer service goes along way & this place lacks majorly. We will never go back there and I will be sure to post this review on every review site I can possibly find for Taco Mac Cary.

Several of us stopped in for a night cap after the Wind Down Wednesday event last Wed 6/1/16. Seriously the bartender could not have been more rude if she tried. There were 5 adults...all age 50+ . We tried to inquire about the various tap offerings and she gave us annoyed, 1 word answers. When I finally decided on a pilsner and gave her my order she glanced around at all 5 of us...all 50+ mind you, and decided she wanted to see some ID. I turned to set my purse on the table to look for the ID. The table had water spilled all over it and no one was in any hurry to tend to it, but thats just an aside thing. As I am leaning over the table looking for my license she says to my husband..."well if you are going to sit there than I cant serve you." Like how many times have I ordered from the bar and taken my drink to an empty table? Trust me...the place was not busy. When my friend couldnt find his license as he had left it in a different pants pocket she said as rudely as can be..."then I cant serve you then." We walked out vowing to never set foot in that place. And trust me when I say this...we know a million people in this town, very good friends with other restaurant owners in Cary...we went straight to a different bar and restaurant and bad mouthed this place up and down and will continue to do so. Please attempt to get your Leona Helmsley like bar wench enrolled in some simple customer service classes. Or better yet...get rid of her...Im sure you can do better.

3 visits here, 1st time service, food and beer good, 2nd time service slow, food ok, beer good but they carded us (no one under 40 with us, said it was policy but we were there 2 weeks earlier and not carded) 3rd visit was last night, we had just finished a birthday party, adult cooking class at Whisk (was a lot of fun) and decided to have a couple of drinks afterwards. We all had a few glasses of wine or beer at cooking class but nothing over the top, the bartender at TMAC refused to serve my wife and another lady that was with us. No dialogue, no explanation, just "No". My wife asked to speak to a manager and someone came over and explained nothing to us. Just looked at us and said they were concerned with safety. Again no explanation as to why we were refused service. There was no yelling, misbehaving or anything that warranted being discriminated against. Quite embarrassing. 6 adults over 40 celebrating (or trying to) by having a few drinks. We had designated driver and taxi on call. I dont get it. Good luck keeping your doors open. This is the only restaurant I have ever seen that has more 1 star reviews than 3, 4, and 5 star reviews COMIBINED!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

My co-workers took me here for lunch a week ago. Atmosphere is nice, however thats as good as it got. The service was terrible. My waitress (Mel was her name i think) pretty much had the attitude that she wanted me to hurry up and get out so she could go home. I realize everyone can have a bad day but her service truly sucked. Im of the mindset that you tip because thats how they make their money. And as long as they took your order and brought you a meal then theyre due a tip. My coworkers told me not to but on my receipt were instructions to give a feedback survey, so I figured Id tip her and call the survey to share my experience. Unfortunately when she took my credit card and receipt to cash out she did not give me the original receipt with the survey info, but a plain credit card receipt. I asked her for the other receipt and she claimed she threw it away an couldnt print another. As I was on lunch I couldnt stay to speak with a manager. Bottom line, it was a terrible first experience. I may go back one day to see if it was fluke but probably as a choice of last resort. Im curious if anyone else has had similar with that particular waitress.

Just got home from my first experience at TMAC and it may be my last. The place has such potential but did not live up to what I was expecting. It was nice and clean inside so I was expecting much more. After my first order I was brought the wrong beer two times. First by my original waitress and when she returned it to the bar a second waitress tried to bring it back to me. It took over fifteen minutes to get second beer after order was placed. We finally received our food after approximately 45 minutes since ordering and it was room temperature, obviously sitting in kitchen for a period of time. My friends who ordered the burger said was not good--tasting as if previously frozen. The waitress was nice but was apologetic and made excuses for bar and kitchen slowness. However, the restaurant was not packed. I observed the manager apologizing to two other tables so I am assuming that their experience was similar to mine. Also, a good number of small children unsupervised and running around squealing. The bathroom needed to be serviced-one dispenser out of paper towels and trash can overflowing. Not a good way to establish a new restaurant.

Restaurant Feel and Decor: 8/10 - Tvs everywhere, not too noisy Wings: 3/10 - Not Buffalo Wings at all Food: 7/10 - Most other bar food is pretty good Beer: 7/10 - Tons of draft beer Service: 7/10 - Pretty good each time. Attentive & quick. Beer selection is huge, but even the domestics are too expensive, this evens out for all the TVs everywhere which are awesome. Someplace between Buffalo and the South these guys lost their memory of what a Buffalo Wing actually is, and "Buffalo" should be stripped from this menu completely. This was the 3rd trip, 3 different wings, none of which were very good. Anyone from PA & north knows a buffalo wing is 1) crispy and 2) has Franks + butter. While its not rocket science, it is what an actual Buffalo Wing is, and they are the best on Earth when done correctly. While the wings are subpar everything else seems pretty good and I will be back for gamedays which are terrific here. Service is always great , a shame some people make up stupid stories on these reviews.
