Great baked goods when available! Forget getting cinnamon buns after 11:00am. And, bad service. Ive left more than once because of being IGNORED. Once, the young man [who is there every time I go in so hes a regular employee] and a co-worker were so engrossed in their conversation at the cash register, they completely ignored me for several minutes and I doubt they noticed I left!! And today, no cinnamon buns, no coffee!!!! A bakery with no coffee at 11:20am!!! I understand if they had to switch out an empty carafe of coffee with a full one but I had to wait for it to BREW!!! And, to make it worse, the same young man who has ignored me several times before was leisurely sipping his beverage behind the register, oblivious to the fact that customers were waiting for their drinks. Im so glad he didnt let a little thing like customer satisfaction interfere with his thoughts! Am I wrong but wasnt there a time when drinking in front of customers was considered tacky and bad service? Mom and Pop places are always bemoaning how the big chains are putting them out of business. Well, when I go to Brueggers or Dunkin Donuts, there is always coffee available and most of their usual items are in stock. And the staff are usally concerned with the customers. I think Le Farm Bakery is taking the French thing too far, my mother was a Francais teacher and Ive been to France, its pretty well known the French pride themselves on arrogant customer service. So Le Farm Bakery has brought a bit of France to NC. However, this relocated Yankee is accustomed to good, efficient service and so I say to Le Farm employees - Au Revoir!!!

I love this place! I have been a patron for almost ten years. I have been to France many times, and walking into La Farm brings me back to the authentic french patisseries, where everyone goes there in the morning. I apologize at the length. I feel I have to defend against some complaints. Yes, you do have to get there early to get the "good stuff" (thats because they hand make everything that morning, so its fresh). And expect a line between 10-12 on a weekend, that generally means its worth the wait when theres a Brueggers across the parking lot. As far as service, I always get amazing service. I think in years past some employees have been a bit of slackers, but dont blame the whole business. Also, did anyone who complained about the service say "Pardonnez moi?" or excuse me? Im guessing they didnt. For me, the food is always what I go to a restaurant for. I recently moved back to the area (was gone for three years), and was so excited to see that they have opened a cafe. Their breakfast menu is to die for! And the portions are huge. You shouldnt be hungry the rest of the day! In the mornings, they offer scones, muffins, croissants, etc. They have coffee, iced or hot. I love that the owner is a traditional french chef. If you dont think its authentic, I would like to know what youre comparing it to- some "French" restaurant in america, or somewhere in France. My rebuttal is done. Im sorry. I was just shocked to see ANY bad reviews and had to clear it up. Though maybe I should stay quiet so theres more options in the mornings... ;)

The food is delicious but I will never go here again on a weekend. They have clearly outgrown their space and do not have enough competent staff to handle the massive crowds. After pushing back and forth trying to figure out what line to be in, the solo cashier working at 11 am on a Saturday could not hear anything I was asking her due to the noise level. I had heard that the French onion soup in a bread bowl was amazing, so I asked if it could be made to go. She said yes, but then rang it up as for here and without the bread bowl. I had to fight through the crowd to get back up to the register when I noticed this on my receipt, and she would not let me pay the $2 difference to get the bread bowl. Even though she told the kitchen to make the order to go after I pointed it out, I watched a staff member carry my food plated for here all around the cafe looking for the table, until I could chase him down and tell him it was supposed to be a takeout order. Although the quiche was delicious and the French onion soup was good (never got the bread bowl), the unnecessary stress ruined my otherwise relaxing Saturday morning. I hate to leave a review without voicing my complaints to the establishment, but there was not a manager (or anyone willing to give me the time of day) that I could find to talk to. I will not be back until they move into a larger space or find a better way to manage the crowds and get orders correct.

We have been to La Farm Bakery 3 times over the past few months, for breakfast and lunch. Wanted to like this place, but disappointed every time. We are done with this rude restaurant. The breakfast fare is pricey, disgusting, sugary stuff with no exceptions and lunch consists of way overpriced ($8 - $10 per sandwich with taxes) sandwiches which are tiny, and very bland. The staff will refuse to customize the sandwiches even a little bit, and the place has no grill to heat the sandwiches. The best they can do is warm the bread to a mushy dough ball before making the sandwich. They will REFUSE to substitute any item in the sandwich, and will charge way more if the customer insists. Today the man taking the order said that the tomato galette was not available for a few weeks because of the high price of tomatoes in the market! An average person will leave hungry if ordering just one $8 sandwich for lunch. You are better off eating at the McDonalds around the corner, at Brueggers in the same strip mall, or at a Subway or Quiznos who have way better and meatier items on the menu at much lower prices. Avoid La Farm Bakery on Cary Parkway like the PLAGUE. This restaurant will fleece you and they dont care about any repeat business. This restaurant offers the worst french attitude and lousy food.

My wife and I have eaten at La Farm well over 60 times. The last two have been horrible experiences. Today I ordered a chicken avocado salad. It comes with a sliced hard boil egg. One bite of the egg and I had to spit it out because the taste was so bad that I can not even describe. The salads use to come with two slices of cheese bread. Today I received one slice of stale plain bread. My salad served on a 9 inch by 9 inch plate was no more than one inch high. I counted six fork fulls and it was gone. They gave me on the side salad dressing that was about one tablespoon. The quality has rapidly got terrible. Will never go back. The worse however is the owner would not come out and talk to me nor returned messages. My wifes turkey sandwich was not much better. She threw half away. Management reached out to me and was very concerned about my bad experience. They explained that there was a management transition and we just happen to eat there during this time. My wife and I ate there yesterday and the food portion and quality was as good as it has ever been. Remember we would have never eaten there that much if it had not been delicious. I have never had a restaurant express more concern about my bad experience. Bon Appetit for another 60 meals!!!
