This was our first restaurant we ate at in Asheville, so we figured it was standard small town fare. But after we tried a couple other places in Asheville, like West End Bakery and Laughing Seed, we decided Cornerstone is bottom tier. I had the fish, I think it was a tuna, and it was the driest, most flavor-free fish I have ever eaten. I think it may have been microwaved? The mashed potatoes were good. The spaghetti was really bland, definitely not al dente. The kid chicken strips were very average. Service was cursory and not particularly friendly. The place was average in cleanliness. Not a terrible place (dont get the fish!), but there are definitely much better alternatives.

My husband and I were christmas shopping and decided to stop at the Cornerstone for dinner. The restaurant was barely full and we were seated immediately. We then sat for over 10 minutes being completely ignored. One of the waitresses walked past us several times and spoke to the people at the table across from us and gave the bill to another couple sitting diagnally across from us. Never once did she even acknowledge we were there. Another waitress looked at us several times walking back and forth from the kitchen and also did not attempt to take our order. We finally got up and left. There is no excuse for poor service!!

Very friendly staff - attentive without hovering. All our food was delivered quickly and hot. Fresh grated cheese on the salads, REAL butter, timely refills on our soft drinks. These little things make a difference. Our entrees were delicious, and the "dill" dip they served with the crab-stuffed shrimp was wonderful. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. The decor is simple, but cozy, and everything was clean. Will definitely go back and bring friends.

Great dinner. Fabulous breakfast. Home fries the way they should be done. We were in Ashville NC for 2 days. Had 2 Dinners and 1 breakfast at Corner Stone Restaurant. The Fettichini Alfredo was so good the first night we went back for breakfast the following morning. The menu variety is very good. When we were deciding on dinner the 2nd night we went bakc and had the Pork Chops. Every thing tasted great. The service was wonderful. The servers were all very friendly.

One thing that I agree on is that the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, that is where the good news ends. The food was similiar to what you might taste at Shoneys or Denys but more pricey. I tried an Italian dish with salad and my wife had fried shrimp. Stouffers would have been a better purchase for me and my wifes shrimp had a very "fishy" taste.Thankfully my son had french fries or we would have all left hungry. Well, at least the staff is friendly.

I love Corner Stone. It is actually being remodeled and I cant wait to see the new changes. I love the relaxed atmosphere. I enjoy the menu with old style and new items. Service is great. Food is good. Serves breakfast, lunch and supper. They do have places to set for pick up orders. They try hard to accommodate seating preferences also. Ive gone and seat to study my bible and drink their great tea.

Good but Costly! When the tab for one is just under $20 for a Turkey and Dressing dinner with Tea we may have just exceeded my willingness to repeat! Best fried zucchini with real Turkey and a nice cranberry sauce. Real Mashed Potatoes not the best dressing! I say woha! For this $$$ I can make better choices. In Asheville we have many great choices! And that I tend to make.

We came here to eat on our vacation. We both ordered the breakfast bowls. The food came out super quick and there was sooo much of it. I ate as much as humanly possible and still had a whole other breakfast to spare. The food was amazing, and our waitress was super awesome. If you need good food, and a lot of it, I highly recommend Cornerstone.

We went 30 minutes before they closed. Wonderful.service. Ordered full rack of ribs and the mukassa with a side of fried zucchini. The food was hot, made to order and great portions for the price. This reminds of the Greek restaurants I ate at in Charlotte growing up. Breakfast is incredible as well. I have not had a bad meal at the place.

You can actually order turkey with stuffing year round here. I got it with french fries as a side. It was great. This is the only place I know of where you could order that combination on special. We went there on a Sunday. Plus the prices are perfect for what you get, and you always get a lot of food.

Great food, very generous portions, and outstanding service. Skip the chains -- this place is a gem! Well definitely be back if we come through the area again. (Wish our server worked at a restaurant in our area -- that level of service with a matching personality is hard to find!)

We had breakfast here. The restaurant was clean and the eggs were cooked just right. I had grits and it was about 3 times the size of a bowl that Im used to getting. Coffee was good and hot and the service was terrific. I highly recommend Cornerstone for breakfast.

Awesome portions at wonderful prices. We regularly visit Cornerstone for breakfast or lunch and everything had always been terrific, including the wait staff. Occasionally a wait and the decor and flooring need some modern upgrades.

Friendly service and epic portions. My Fettuccine Alfredo was tasty and came with a ridiculous volume of grilled chicken. Also included was a generous salad. Garlic bread could use much more garlic but Ill let it go.

The combo I chose included eggs, which I am allergic to. When I asked the server if I could exchange for potatoes or something and she said NO SUBSTITUTIONS! She said the kitchen wont substitute. Wont be going back.

Ive eaten here several times before, but tonight the food was so good I had to leave a review. The mountain trout and the burgers are amazing, and this is my restaurant of choice for trips into Asheville.

Usually base decisions on restaurants on name recognition. Stopped here in a hurry. The steak was the best steak I have had in years. Enormous portions and a great value. Highly recommend.

Best breakfast selections around. And lunch selections are plentiful. Wonderful staff. New news is a major upgrade is in progress but it is open through the renovation work.

I eat the calabash chicken tenders or the steak philly sandwich every time Ive eaten here for the past 13 years. I recommend it to anyone who visits Asheville.

Amazing food for a great price. Everything Ive eaten there has been scrumptious. But OMG their breakfast is INCREDIBLE! The French toast melts in your mouth.

The food was good, but the service was great! We asked questions about a local hike, and savannah gave us a great suggestion, and wrote the info down for us!

Im never disappointed, but never wowed by Cornerstone. Weve done breakfast and dinner both. Dinner was more impressive, with some flavorful comfort food.
