We are regular customer at Beijing House for lunch and like the authenticity of this place. The restaurant was actually very good when it first started. Since beginning of 2017, we have seen the standard dropping and price going up. Today we even have uncooked dumplings with absolutely no apologies from the restaurant. Seem like business as usual after we showed them the raw dumpling. When we asked for the check, the waiter even added the dumpling into the bill like nothing had happened. We finally contested and the waiter took it out from our bill. This is by far unexpected and unacceptable for a restaurant rated well by many including the culinary critics on Long Island. Beware when you order the dumpling or anything wrapped from Beijing House, you may be eating something that is raw and get sick without knowing it!!

In the vast wasteland of Chinese takeout places with the pictures posted above the counter or the faux Chinese places doing sushi and hibachi also this is a welcome return to authentic food. Szechuan style, some dishes can be oily but that is the way it is supposed to be, you know when they have pig liver, intestines, and jellyfish on the menu that it is meant for a "local" crowd, one look around the place and you know you are in the right place. Service was up and down but very friendly. One of my benchmarks is Chicken in Garlic Sauce, theirs was very good (the very best was Uncle Tais Hunan Yuan on 3rd back in the 70s). I look forward to going back with a group and trying many other dishes. Any bad reviews here are mostly people who who have been fed an ersatz cuisine. This is a welcome change for Nassau County.

Normally, I head out to Chinatown in NYC to quench my Chinese food needs. Take out is take out. Its not the same thing compared to the real deal. Sometimes going all the way out to the city just doesnt work. Thank goodness this place opened. The place is very clean. The waiters/waitresses are extremely helpful and patient with your needs. My sister wanted a simple vegetable dish but she didnt remember the Chinese name for the dish. She looked it up on Google and showed her the picture. She went into the kitchen then came back out and told us the chef said he would make it even though it wasnt on the menu. THAT IS SERVICE! Most importantly, the food here is very good. I suggest you check this place out if you enjoy good Chinese food.

Based on the main dish we shared, house special fried rice, I would not return. The menu said the dish featured shrimp, scallops, and ham in addition to the usual eggs and vegetables. It was very disappointing. The rice was basically white rice, not the typical fried rice most often seen. There were adequate shrimp. There were a few bits up cut-up scallops, maybe two total, cut into thirds, along with a few tiny bits of diced ham, and peas and carrots that looked like they came right out of a frozen food bag. Not anything to be proud of as a restaurant. The service was fine, but not this main dish we shared. Our local Chinese takeout place has far better food.

Best szechuan Chinese in long Island! The service is great and the food is fantastic. From just simple kung pao and scallion pancakes to pork kidney and squid in an amazing brown garlic sauce. Dont forget the fish slices in chili oil soup with cabbage and bean sprouts. Wow! If feeling adventurous, get the ox tail and tripe in chili oil; its all pounded thin and marinated to perfection. Cant wait to come back try more!

With all the hype for the past few months at this place, we finally got to order take out from here several weeks ago. Since my wife is not a spicy food eater, we asked them to make 2 dishes non-spicy. After we got home, we discovered that both were spicy. The food was oily and taste good, but quantity was little. We also bought 2 sweet, sticky rice cakes and they were Ok as well.

Food was mediocre, service was marginal and prices were higher than average. This type of place may go over great in China but not here. Weve been going to local Chinese restaurants for over 40 years and have seen them come and go. Unfortunately many places have gone out of business probably due to high overhead. This place just opened up and I wouldnt go back there.

This isnt your average Chinese-American place. They have fantastic authentic Chinese food. Lunch menu prices are average. The regular menu prices are a bit expensive, but not too much so. The service is polite and they speak good English. The place is clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that the tea they serve is a low quality tea-bag tea.
