I stopped by my favorite hero shop on Long Island. I walked in at around 6:50pm and they were getting ready to close. I asked the guy behind the counter if he could make me 2 heros, he said yes. I proceeded to give him the order and he said hold on and walked in the back and got another guy who told me the slicer was cleaned and they were closed. I said its not even 7pm?? He said , slicer is closed, sorry. If you are closed, lock the front door and flip your sign. I understand everyone wants to go home after a long day at work, but I would of been happy if he offered to make me something like a tuna or chicken salad which didnt require the slicer!!!

Used to be a regular customer several times a week. Now no more. The new employees overcharge and constantly get my order wrong every.single.time. No matter what the taller employee fights you on it saying he is right and as the customer; we being wrong. I have tried both calling it in or ordering at the counter with no avail. Dont bother to go here unless Lucky (the owner) is there. Hes the only one that knows what he is doing.

Every time I call I get put on hold for a long time (if they even answer) when I do finally talk to someone they never seem to know what the hell they are doing, they never have answers to any of my questions. When I do actually get something from there, I feel like Ive spent a fortune on a very small portion of food. If I could give zero stars I would. Save your time and just go to handy pantry...

I got wings for this past superbowl, all of my guest loved it. I have also asked for "off the menu" stuff, such as lettuce wraps, and Lucky was always very accommodating and fair. I would definitely recommend the roast beef melt with gravy.

Always good food. I always order first that way I dont have to wait there. Always make sure to check your order and make sure everything is in there. A few times some things were missing. Other than that it is a very good small town deli.

I like it, but my wife hates it. Reminds me of the sandwiches I used to get in college, before there were chain delis like subway everywhere. I got slow and the parking can be a hassle, but otherwise I have no complaints.
