The food is unbelievably good. I had the rare beef pho, and I can easily classify it as the best thing Ive ever tasted. The people I was with all raved about their meals as well. That being said, the service is quite strange. The staff is very friendly, but very strange. If youre able to laugh about these things, then this is the place for you. If you get upset easily, you might want to find somewhere else to eat. Also, make sure you tell the server that you want all of your parties meals to come out at the same time, or theyll bring them out one by one with a lot of time in between, assuming the whole table is sharing each dish. We made this mistake and it was a bit awkward for each of us to sit and watch one person eat their entire meal before another was brought out. Still, it was totally worth it because the food really is just that good.

The owner &waiter is Chinese, and able to speak Vietnamese (shes the only one there). Their roasted duck & pork is the best, but the price is too high (perhaps due to supply & demand). Ordering from the menu would be a big mistake, as it was for me. It took forever for my dish to come, and I was the only customer there! When it finally came out, the Pho tasted like it came from an instant bag of noodles. My sister ordered the vermicelli dish, and the sauce was too sour. Neither of us were able to finish our bowls, and we were both very hungry at the time. Please trust me, I know what truly authentic Vietnamese food tastes like, because I am Vietnamese. I would not recommend anything else but the roasted meats to eat with rice (the meats that she has hanging in the front, near the windows).

The owner is sweet and always has the a smile on her face. The chef actually cooks things that have flavor which in most "americanized" Chinese and Vietnamese is not the rule. I think anyone saying bad things about this restaurant lost their taste buds years ago. If you want bland food there are lots of "Asian" restaurants to feed you rice and more rice so you can tell people you eat more then just burgers and fries. You want real Asian food with great taste stop in NOW.

This place is uniquely its own. When I lived on Monroe Ave, I tried to make it here at least once a week. The woman who runs the place took my order and was genuinely interested in me as a person. She had Wheel of Fortune playing on a TV in the background and I felt like I may have been chatting with my grandmother or aunt while eating some amazing food. It has been over a year since I have visited. Time to stop in. I love this restaurant!

Wow! My first time tonight and between the above average customer service and my on-point Panang Chicken I could not be more pleased. I am a huge Panang Chicken snob and this stuff was the real deal. The lady that helped me was so nice to me and I cant wait to go back. Be advised though-the online prices are on average $2 less then their actual menu. Its worth it!

Very good food, massive portions. Each entree is easily 2 meals. Its always the same nice older lady at the desk, and once you figure out her accent she is very sweet. She will likely recognize you if you go more than twice. The customer service is unrivaled, shes like the nice Chinese grandma you never knew you had. I highly suggest giving it a try!

I went with a party of 12 people. We received great service that was reasonably fast (given the size of the party and the establishments reputation for a leisurely pace) and the food was excellent. The overall value for the money really deserves about 6 or 7 stars. This is the type of place that makes me sorry I can only select 5 stars!

Fist time ordering from here and my last time. Food was horrible, I called in to tell them that my chicken pho was not right (broth smelled burned and small burn chips at bottom of container, chicken was old and did colored) I was told there was nothing that they could do. I could not get a refund nor fresh chicken pho smh.

Today my brother Charles took my wife and me to Doc Hoa Restaurant in Rochester. This was my and Elizabeths first experience with Vietnamese cooking. We had Duck Soup and Spring Rolls dipped in peanut sauce. WOW! So much flavor experience all at once! We loved food, and the service was very special.

Delicious Vietnamese dishes. Try the Fried Beef Vermicelli with Eggroll. Its the best. The owner is a very sweet lady who offers a cup of tea everytime I visit to take out. Ive been a regular customer for the past 13 years.
