I flew into New York because I had been notified that my father was sick and in the hospital. After spending numerous days straight, 12 hours at a time in a crappy VA hospital, getting relieved of duty by my sister around 6 PM on day was a blessing for my wife and I. They instructed us to go treat ourselves to a nice dinner and to turn in early. Which is exactly what we did. We headed out to Northport to walk on the pier and get a dinner. My wife was lured in by the lobster and muscle combination offer, which she ordered, and devoured all of. It was a proud moment for me seeing my wife finish off an entire lobster with her hands while splattering all the neighboring tables with lobster remnants and melted butter. I tried some and it was pretty good. I got the lobster gnocchi, which was extremely filling and pretty delectable. I believe that we also got an appetizer of fried calamari as well. Being from New York, but no longer living there currently, coming back and eating this was a little of homesickness served up on a plate. Eating outside, under the warm New York sun, smelling the water, and listening to the live music being played at the end of the street...I cant say it was the best food Ive ever had, but it hit me in the heart, and in the stomach perfectly, and was exactly the experience we needed at that moment.

Food was mediocre at best. Over-priced. Burger well over-cooked when asked for medium. Sat outside with no umbrella so tree debris was dropping into our meal and drinks. Asked for more bread but was not even acknowledged and thus never received more bread (only gave three pieces for our table of four! And on top of that the butter was cold, hard and therefore completely unspreadable!) I mean you know its a crappy place when they dont even have cloth napkins and only give you one little paper towel with dirty stained untensils on top. Plus, the service stunk and it wasnt even busy. The staff wears T shirts and jeans. Everyone who worked there looked like they hated their job or just rather be somewhere else. And well Ill admit; so did I!

AVERAGE restaurant, with mostly NASTY waitresses (especially the russian waitress, or whatever she is). OMG- asking for some bread or asking a question, gets a frown. The steak is HORRIBLE- all fat. When you get burned 3x in a year with the steak (my fault- I guess) hoping it "cant be that bad again" and ask for the Mgr (simply to tell him), he is NEVER there. Its the inmates running the asylum. Its a shame- weve been going on and off for 30 years, its up and down in 5-10 year clips. Such a great location- someone needs to take over this place.

If it was possible to give no stars, thats what I would do. It was a half hour wait to try to get a drink at the bar. Not even agknowledged by the bartender (man with glasses). No taps working at the bar on a Saturday night. The hostess and "manager" were rude and could care less about it. In fact the tall blonde hostess told us to get the F out of her face when we tried to bring it to her attention Never would I reccomend this place to a soul. Ive never met such a rude staff in my life! We werent the only customers walking out either.

Ok. So the food was good. Price for lobster & mussels was good. BUT, the service was poor. Waitress never offered us bread. (we saw other guests with a bread basket) Lighting is red, so it was hard to see your food. Didnt refill our drinks when they were empty. When the food came out, it was a different person serving us. The last straw was it took over 25 mins to get the check when we asked. Not going again.

My fiancee and I stopped by this place when we visited Northport on a nice weekend in June. We sat outside and were both craving lobster rolls. We ordered the lobster roll platters and they were fantastic! We got great service and a fabulous meal that was inexpensive for a lobster roll meal. Will definitely come back when were in Northport again.

Went @ 5 on Friday before the town concert. 4 different people took care of me. Thank you Colleen for the excellent service. The lobster & mussels were delicious..cooked just right. The chef broke up the lobster for me which I teally appreciated. Will go bCk next Friday before I head back to FL. Also, the raw oysters were great as well.

They have an incredible deal on Lobster and Mussels on Mondays and Tuesdays. A quaint and cozy, old fashioned restaurant with perfect food. The waitress was kind and the food was delicious. I need to move back to Long Island just to eat here all of the time.

Nice menu, great outdoor seating area. I just wont return here because the place was infested with flies during a recent visit. I strongly recommend they close temporarily to address the issue. It is visibly filthy inside.

Food wasnt anything special. Service was sub-par at best, spent 25 minutes trying to get the waitress to bring us our check. There are too many restaurants in the area to come back here again.

Clams and Mussels were fantastic. Very fresh and great service as well. Ive had the calamari in the past and was also very delicious. Would recommend to all- always $1 oysters at bar.

How people say the food is very good is beyond me! The place is so outdated and the food is not good at all. Chef Ramsey or Chef Irvine would have a field day here!

Friendly service. Delicious food. A bit pricey, but on par with most sea food restaurant prices. Bathroom was very small and was only accessible by steep steps.

I really like fish and chips here, salads are good too. Place has a nice outdoor terrace and local beer from sand city brewery. Always a positive experience

The fresh baked clams are a must! Topped with crispy panko crumbs. $1 oysters at the bar. The mojitos with lots of fresh muddled mint is deelish.

Slightly pricey. The artichoke crab dip is a must have. My Chipotle shrimp rap was also very good as well. Atmosphere is nice and maratime-ey
