Sometimes, you just want a quick and dirty meal. The greasier the better, and of course the spot itself has to be as grimy as a dumpster. For those times, there is NYC Fried Chicken. NYC Fried Chicken reminds me of Crown Fried Chicken (my absolute favorite), but 10x more ghetto. It doesnt have that same feel to it, but for those days where you just dont care what you eat, NYC Fried Chicken is there to save you. Food-wise, they have a variety of things. From fried fish, to popcorn chicken, to friend chicken, and even pizza, theres just a lot of stuff going on. If youve made the conscious decision that youre going to destroy your stomach here, then I suggest to bite the bullet and just get some fried chicken. For $8, you can get 3 pieces of chicken, a side of french fries, and a soda. Price-wise, thats roughly comparable to what youd spend getting a combo meal at KFC or Popeyes. Luckily, the chicken here is actually pretty decent. The meat itself is juicy, and theres just the right amount of crisp to the skin. The seasoning could be a little better, but then again, youre getting food from a place called NYC Fried Chicken. As far as the place itself, yes its pretty dirty. Even so, there are about 5-7 bar stools where you can sit down and eat your greasy mess. The guys working here are pretty nice as well, and depending on what you order, it is fried to order. NYC Fried Chicken wont blow your mind by any means. There are tons of places where you can get better fried chicken. However, thats not to say that this place doesnt serve up some decent food. Its greasy, dirty, but at the same time, somewhat satisfying. For those once in a while moments, I can make an exception and stop by here, but if youre coming here on the regular, then Id rethink your game plan.

Ive passed this place a million times when going to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Oh God ...Its seedy and greasy looking .. Its even dirtier inside.No A rating here ... But the greasy chicken is as the reviews say .."DELICIOUS" !! I sat there at 10 PM after a bus ride back from NJ to the city. Next to me, on this very few stools lining the window was a drunken bag lady who, with a toothless, intoxicated smile, tried to get me to part with one of my chicken wings in exchange for a slug out of her pint bottle of vodka ... No matter how seedy this place is ... I know Im going to go back. The help doesnt speak English (couldnt understand I wanted the 3 piece chicken dinner right on sign on the wall behind him) ... But as I sit here now ... Id go back in a heartbeat. Lord have mercy on my stomach.

Ive been here a few times now because I work in the area. The chicken is small and often too salty. The wings are tiny. The Popeyes one block to the north gives you better and bigger wings. Fries are ok but greasy. The staff is pretty rude too. Maybe it tastes better when its late at night and youre drunk?

Obvisouly it is something to try out without going to a KFC right. I have to say it wasnt very oily which I highly appreciate. The chicken was good. They have tables to sit down, but we prefered to take it back to the hotel as we were less than 5 mins walk.

The place looks run-down. It looks grimy. It looks sketchy. But it makes the best, I swear, THE BEST fried chicken Ive ever had. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Skip the popcorn chicken and get the legs, theyre the best.

Got the three piece chicken combo for lunch. Didnt have to wait very long and good taste. Also halal too which is really hard to find around here. Pricing was decent, around $9.50 or so

We stopped by at this little restaurant after the Dr. Strange sneak preview. The chicken was great and I couldnt stop eating the fries. Great pricing too!
