Today I had the worst service experience I have ever had. I came in (party of two) and it was pretty dead (maybe about 4 tables- which as a fellow server is NOT a lot). We already knew what we wanted so we sat there and waited to be greeted. We ordered two chicken parms, and maybe 10 minutes after waiting the server then comes to us and asks if we want soup or salad (Not sure why it took him so long to ask). As soon as I got my soup I asked if I could please have some parmasian cheese for my soup and I never got it (wouldve asked for it again but he didnt come back to the table until he was bringing our food). After getting our food we asked for ranch for our sweet potato fries (takes another 3-5 minutes) and it tastes very very bad. We tried to get the waiters attention for over 5 minutes and couldnt so we decided to ask the manager (or hostess-he was the one seating people and helping out). When I told him I thought maybe it was tarter sauce he looked at me weird and barely spoke any english. He went to the kitchen and came back and said "this is ranch, idk, here." And set it back down on the table and walked away. Our drinks were done and this point and we couldnt get a refill (again no one checked on us at all during our meal). We had to wait another 5-10 minutes for our check (ended up having to walk to the front to ask for it). All we ordered was two chicken parms and ONE juice and our bill was almost $50. WAY too expensive for the service and quality we received. After getting in the car we notice the manager or whoever go to the table to clean it and put our left overs right in his mouth! Right there out in the open ate some of our food while it was still on the table. I dont think I will ever be coming here again.

where do i start , this place looks so nice from outside i always said i would like to try the food out there, so i went with my husband for his 30th birthday and first the waiter was so unprofessional i asked him about the falafels and he said to be honest there OK but not good like the halal makes them , then i asked him do you have rice with vegetables and he answered no the chef is too lazy lately thats why there looking for a new one . so i ordered an order of rice and beans and an potato with sour cream and when the food arrived the potato was so cold and mine and my husbands rice and beans looked good and everything but then i noticed a weird Oder and thats when we realized we were eating spoiled food .that food could of been sitting there for days i got so sick immediately i couldnt eat the whole day . when i told the waiter he was just like oh really im so sorry let me remove the rice and beans from your bill. like if that can make up for how sick me and my husband got . but i just want everyone to no because the food is expensive and they have the balls to serve someone ruined smelly food .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible Customer Service This morning around 11:30 a.m. I called this diner to place a breakfast order to be delivered to my home. Upon the arrival of this orderIi notice that two of the three breakfast plates ordered were incorrect, missing items. I called the diner to inform them. I was told the missing items would be delivered to me however it would not be immediate because the delivery person was out on deliveries. About an hour and a half later the items still have not arrived so I called back to see what was happening. I was told it was going to be looked into and someone would call me back. It is now 4:09 p,m. and NO ONE has called me back and the missing items have NOT been delivered!!! This is horrible customer service!!!!

So I went and ordered some fries and mozzarella sticks and 1st the mozzarella sticks were undercooked and 2nd as Im eating my fries I notice they tasted stale, then I notice towards the bottom of the aluminum plate some fries that had ketchup on them. I at no time put ketchup on my fries. They gave me someones leftover stale French fries! Ive been noticing that the quality of their food is decreasing steadily but this, this is an all time low for them, they have officially lost my business and I recommend that people just not waste their time or money at this diner anymore. Food prices are ridiculous and the food is definitely not worth getting someones leftovers.

My lady and I changed my birthday plans from going to City Island to getting take out at Pelham Bay Diner (Dec 7th) because she had a long day at work .We waited 20 to 25 minutes for our food ,didnt think to look in the bag to find it was an incomplete order .My lady called and explained that my order was missing (1am) .The staff person said he would pass on the mistake so we can order breakfast in place of the incomplete order only to find out the information was never passed. This experience was very upsetting to my girl especially since she tipped the woman at the counter for her service....and yes it was on my birthday!!!

The food has DEFINITELY fallen off, although the wait staff was polite. But the REALLY BAD THING is after I paid for my overpriced lunch ($19.33 for a grilled cheese with fries and a BLT that was more Like than anything else) and left a $4 tip, Today I get an alert from my bank - thx Cap1- that these THIVES added an additional $10 TIP WTF!!! All I can say is check your receipts, and if you put it on a card, Chechnya your statement. My friend Mr. Sue ( as in law suit) will be visiting again real soon. I just have to wait to see what the credit card company is going to do first

FORGET Everything I said before (Below) I was in this place for breakfast a few weeks ago and some kind of He/She was serving me with a bad attitude THEN a nice fat ROACH marched out across divider and I got up and walked out. Stay Away! This place SUCKS! The food is Fair to Midland but not very inspired (except the breakfast is pretty decent.) They did a very nice renovation a few years back so guess they mean to be around for a while. This place wont blow you away but its worth a try.

Besides the food being bland, my husband and I have never felt so uncomfortable. I believe it was the owner who came out and stared at us as if we were not gonna pay and just walk out of the restaurant. He did not leave at all until we left. Point being, I never ever leave reviews but we have never ever felt this uncomfortably. We are definitely not going back ever again. In the future, I hope people are treated with more respect and that he is at least discreet when securing the diner.

random since the TGI Fridays down the road was already closed. Little did we know we were going to enjoy the food so much!! The steak & cheese, Babyback ribs & our favorite the Potatoe soup!!! Omg i never knew i would b hook on diner food! Also the make deliveries which now we're constantly ordering from their extensive menu. The menu is so diverse!!! I would recommend this place to any1!!! We are very picky eaters and believe me when we say this place is worth it! :)
