The Long Lake Diner is the best place to eat in town. Ive been many times. The waitstaff is always very friendly. They try their hardest to make sure that everyone is happy and being served. Sometimes they are understaffed when there is only two people working the whole dining room that fits around 70 people. They have to clean their own tables, cash people out, seat them, being food out, and do all this with a smile on their face. It doesnt seem that difficult but if you watch them, they really run around. They have a very small kitchen with only two cooks at a time so sometimes the food does take a few minutes to come out. But it is excellent when it does. The waitress was telling me that they make almost everything homemade including pizza dough, meatloaf, honey mustard, tartar sauce and a lot more that I cant remember. The coffee here is some of the best coffee Ive had. They grind up the beans fresh for every pot of coffee they make. They dont have fancy things like soy milk (I asked) but its a small town diner so I shouldnt have gone in expecting things like that. The last time that my husband and I were in, I had the Eggs Benedict. They had the best sauce Ive ever had. My husband got a Philly Cheese Steak and it was incredible. He let me have a piece and it was amazing. Everything that we have tried there including pancakes, eggs, hoagies, and dinners have all been amazing. I highly recommend this place. If you are in a rush, dont go on a busy day expecting to be treated like a queen and get your food before anyone else.

Left our place at 7 am to head towards Old Forge. Arrived in Long Lake about 10 a.m. and stopped to ask where to get breakfast well we were told about the diner. We walked in and it took about 10 minutes to be seated even though not busy. Then it was downhill from here, we ordered breakfast basically 2 eggs bacon and toast. It took forever then they bring out this tiny plate with 2 eggs 3 thin pieces of bacon and one slice of sandwich bread you know that little square bread you got it one slice and they have the gaul to charge 6 bucks. My advice is drive through or stop at the stewarts to eat you get more for your dollar. The waitress said it the best she dont set the prices she just works there and i now know why we werent asked how we liked our breakfast because they know what people are going to say "IT SUCKED"

We have been to Long Lake for kayaking a couple of times. Each time we have had our breakfasts at the Long Lake Diner. Its a pleasant, low-key diner with everything youd want for breakfast. We have not tried their other offerings, but weve had eggs, hash browns, french toast and pancakes and loved them all. Its convenient to town, the waitstaff are friendly and professional and we will be back for sure. If I have one complaint, its the coffee; Im a kinda coffee snob and the coffee at the Long Lake Diner is adequate, no more. The rest of my breakfast made up for it.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life. First the waitress come to our table and after some one in my party said we would probably only ordering drinks she said we would have to come to the bar and order up there. So we just though she was too busy so no big deal right, wrong! I went to the bar to order a few drinks and a appetizer only to be totally ignored by anyone. After a while I tried to wave down the bartender only to be told I was being "rude". we left with nothing. Avoid this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful view from the deck. Nothing spectacular, as far as food goes. Service was subpar. Ordered wings for the table (6 of us). Basket of wings delivered with ranch was delivered. No napkins. No extra plates. Asked for napkins 2 times. Finally had 3 given to us. 3 for the table. Dinner (bar food and sandwiches) was brought out. No napkins. We found our own. Had to track down the server for our bill. This is similar to our experience on pur last visit. Probably wont return.

Friendly local crowd and travelers. Beautiful place to end the day with an almost always picture perfect sunset over reflective water on the outside deck! Plenty of inside seating in both restaurant & bar area. Food is awesome! Revisit -- couldnt not stop to have a tall cool one .. food is as always awesome.

I loved coming here in the morning for a hearty breakfast to fuel myself for my hikes. The coffee hits the spot and the food was delicious; I would highly recommend the eggs and home fries skillet! The staff could not be more friendly.

The long lake diner serves as both a diner and tavern on the lovely long lake. The deck has lovely views for dinner or just for a brew. Selection in the bar is a little small but the meals and appetizers more than make up for it.

Well I am a waitress here, there is no bias. Long Lake Diner is a homey, friendly and is rustic environment with great food that comes out fast. Awesome for a quick bit or a lengthy meal. Stop on in, everyone is welcome.

Im used to diners looking a certain way (in NJ) and this place does not look like a diner, but the food was decent. Attached to a nice tavern with outdoor seating. Next time Ill go there instead.

Overall a great experience. The food was great and the waitstaff was friendly. The wait time for our food was a little long, but worth it. Would definitely stop again if I am in the area.

The perfect stop before heading over to our campsite. A bit of a wait, but the food made it worthwhile. Their cinnamon buns are simply amazing!

Wish this place was better. Great views and looks like a fun place but service was slow and non-existent and food was nothing special.
