This place opened up down the street from me at Queens Plaza so one night we decided to try it out. Although it is rather small it is a real nice chill place with nice decor and friendly service. They have a live band here regularly as well. They recently upgraded to serve alcohol here and they have a full bar with signature cocktails which are $9-$10. There is also a 2 for 1 happy hour for $7 which applies to beer or wine. The cool thing is they serve breakfast here all day! I ordered the fried chicken and pancakes which also comes with bacon for just $10 and it was good.Great prices, great value and friendly service. I will be back.

This is such a cute diner! They dont have fancy elaborated menu. Instead, you can find a handful of dishes at very reasonable prices. I got the Cobb Salad and it was pretty good. MY husband got the Fried Chicken and Waffles and that is definitely the best thing on the menu as well as their burger. They also have Jazz band performing on Saturday nights and it certainly makes our dinner more interesting. Would return to try their brunch menu for sure.

I dont even see how this place is in business. Its always empty when I walk past, even during peak hours. Went in to try it out and had the most disgusting burger and fries Ive ever had. The sangria is tasty, but must have been light on alcohol, because I felt nothing after drinking about 3 of them. Happy hour is all day though, so it might be worth going here if you want some cheap-ish drinks. I would definitely avoid the food menu though...

I live in the neighborhood and was considering eating at Queens and Paupers tonight (its an extremely hot & humid summer day) and quickly reconsidered when I discovered they have no air conditioning! It is unbearable in there. I dont understand how any business in 2016 in NYC doesnt have temperature control. Its not even a large space. I feel so bad for the employees---its not fair to have them working in such conditions.

Sometimes change isnt good. Great owner trying to find an identity, food is fine but decor changes make a small space feel crowded and loud. This is as of Feb 2016. Ill try back in a few months, hoping for better.

Over priced drinks, mojitos that are made with sprite and way too much sugar, lastly the sangria tasted like robitussin. The service was awful as well... Dont waste ur money.

Its a dive bar. Went in for dinner Friday at 5, cash only. If you want to slam a cheap Corona after work, great place. Otherwise, no go.
