We love everything about eating at Akebono... from the ultra-friendly and helpful owner, Patty, to the delicious food. We never hesitate to order out or dine-in there! (And they even deliver!) We eat only 100% vegan foods, but that poses no problem for them. Patty is always extremely helpful when it comes to modifying our order to accommodate us. In fact, she often remembers what we generally order! And finally, when you dine at Akebono, they really make you feel appreciated... which is very nice

All the best food and none of the discotheque/nightclub feeling you get in the larger sushi establishments. Peaceful, relaxing and quiet. We like that. I only know Bobby and Amanda by name but the whole staff is so nice. They always welcome you like friends and the food is great. Very fresh and tasty. Ive had sushi, sashimi, udon and ramen noodles no complaints here.

Ive been looking for a local sushi spot thats a little closer to home, a little more affordable and still has awesome sushi. Well this is officially my new sushi spot! The waiter Bobby is very friendly and very tentative. We have no become regulars.

One of my favorite restaurants in SF. The food is spectacular and you get value for what you are paying. I usually am not a fan of fusion but the house does it right. Very crowded and close seating but worth it.

Very good sashimi. Garlic edamame was delicious--i had never had that before. Staff was friendly and attentive. Minor point was the artificial crab legs on the sashimi platter--a little strange.
