I wish I could give 4.5 stars. That would be my honest score. I had the ribs (1/2 rack), coleslaw and cornbread, w cheesecake for desert. Its pretty hard to screw up BBQ and stay in business. The waitresses were nice. The ribs were very good. They had a little sauce and you got a bottle for more. I really liked the sauce. Not too sweet and not too tangy. The coleslaw was fantastic. Prob the best coleslaw Ive ever had at a restaurant. Usually its really vinegary and crunchy. This was kinda sweet (not too sweet) and not too crunchy. The cornbread was pretty good. Two decent size pieces and very moist. I hate dry crumbly cornbread. Dessert was a letdown. I had turtle cheesecake. The caramel was good, the cheesecake was decent. But crust was too thick and it had this chocolate ganache on the bottom. Way too sweet. I love cheesecake, so I was very disappointed. Everything else was great. So just dont get the cheesecake and youre fine, lol

Nous sommes en famille pour le déjeuner, la nourriture typiquement américaine est plutôt bonne, et le service de bonne qualité. le lieu est propre. les stores baissés aux fenêtres ne permettent pas de laisser la lumière naturelle éclairer la salle, cette intimité me donne une sensation denfermement qui ne ma pas plus. Rien dextraordinaire : bien sans plus.

The service was good, the atmosphere was family-friendly and inviting (in a dark, cozy kind of way). It would be good for groups. With all that said, the food was okay. I order the brisket and pork you pick 2 meats option with mac and cheese, and corn bread as the sides. Everything was simply okay. In fact, I may be more harsh about it had I not been starving from a hike around the nearby Black Forest park.The brisket was oddly dry. The pork was better than the brisket. The mac and cheese was missing some seasoning. The corn bread was cold and one-dimensional. Overall, would definitely skip this place even if I was satrving again around that area.

Got some BBQ to get back on the road. I did the duo with brisket and the owner talked me into the ribs. Glad he did- the rub was phenomenal and there was a lot of meat on the bones. The brisket was falling apart good. Im not used to the place saucing brisket but their BBQ sauce was really tasty. Rich taste with some sort of unexpected aromatic in it that was unique and fabulous. The baked beans burned the bejesus out of my mouth- caution- and the slaw was fortunately not too goopy though it was well flavored. All in all a wonderful BBQ experience. Thanks.

Nice spot. Ive been looking for a decent BBQ spot that was nearby and affordable. Here we go... Pulled pork was slamming. The brisket juicy and smoked flavored. The sausage...omg nice flavoring to that. I found the chicken to be a little dry though but the BBQ sauce was on point. Cornbread was moist and sweet. Baked beans were good. I like mine a little darker with molasses though...so its whatever your taste is. But I washed it down with some slamming sweet tea. Yeah. I was feeling it.

Celebrating a friends new job,we met at "BARNSTORMER" ,Fort Montgomery NY. Great friendly staff, service & food. Must mention the great tasting corn bread. Awesome & friendly owner came by the table & made conversation with us not once but twice. For our cocktails we werent sure what to order so they gave us small samplers so we can choose from. Definitely going back!!!! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience & atmosphere.

The family had plans to go else where but so glad we came here. The service was Great! The manager was friendly and pleasant. I have to compliment the Chef.The food was nicely cook and the taste was unbelievable. The price is good and family friendly atmosphere.The kids had the bbq wings and I ordered the 1/4 smoke rib with wild rice and cucumber & tomato with a side dish of corn bread. My friend had the brisket made with salad.

Portion is large. We had the 2 meat combo, which is a great choice for those who cant make their minds easily. The rib is good, tasty and not too sweet. Kielbasa is perfect! The wings did not look pretty, a little yellow and dark, but it didnt bother me cause the taste is perfect! Actually, the little blackened looking makes it more family-grilled like. Waitresses are friendly. Draft beer is good.

Excellent BBQ! The brisket and other items are great, but my go-to is the chicken Caesar salad. Between the smoky chicken, flavorful homemade caesar dressing, and addictive BBQ sauce, you cant go wrong. Really good craft beer list too. Ive been eating from these guys since they were located in Newburgh and theyre as good as you get for BBQ around these parts.

As a rather large Texan in town for a wedding, I was looking forward to going here and scoffing at their meager attempt to smoke meat. That having been said, I was thoroughly impressed by everything thing I had here. From the brisket, to the ribs, to the mac & cheese, to decent selection of craft beers. I was wrong. Ill admit it...this place was damn good!!

This was a tasty meal. I was pleasantly surprised to have had an awesome meal. The pulled pork sandwich was really good and the side of chili..... is just as good, maybe better than, the pulled pork! It has a darker flavor to it and is almost all meat. Just an FYI. Try it if your in the area.

This was the worst BBQ joint I have ever been to.. lets start with brisket..who in their right chops up brisket to make it look like pulled pork!! Flavor less and didnt even come close to being a mediocre brisket. The ribs tasted burnt and zero smoke flavor..i rather of ate just plain boiled ribs.

Amazing food! My husband tried the brisket and was speechless - it was so delicious! Loved the ribs and pork as well. Everything was perfectly smoked. Great cornbread and chili. Portions are huge. Kids chicken tenders were great. Its a must stop if youre near West Point. We cant wait to go back.

Absolutely ridiculous! Forgot what you know about BBQ before you eat at Barnstormer. We drive out about an hour from New York just to eat the full rack here. Beware, this place serves you a literal full rack, not the pitiful "full racks" they serve in the Tri-state metro. Enjoy it!

Excellent barbeque and smoked food... Done on premises and fries are cut perfectly and cooked crispy. Beans homemade and delicious. Great hospitality and friendly service. Dont pass on this place, with plenty of seating. We are under $30 for two and no room for dessert!!

Its certainly not Texas, but it IS a good BBQ spot- meat has good flavor and the prices are decent. Good family restaurant too, theres only a couple in the area where kids fit in comfortably. Lots of choices for meals, sides, and drinks.

The bbq sauce is great. The rub they use is fantastic. The wings are done very well. And the iced tea goes down so well. I had 4 glasses. My wife loved the ribs. It was the perfect reward after walking all day at bear mountain.

So good. The food was fantastic and the service very good. Place does not look like much but it is so worth a stop. We live over an hour away and will be going back on a regular basis. Some of the best BBQ we have had.
