A very poor experience. Restaurant was busy but several tables available. We were a reserved party of 10 in the private room. Waited about 5 mins for a hostess to show up - she was helping serve drinks in the DR. Initial drink order was wrong, Margarita was terrible ( poorly flavored, watery, no lime "bite", with melted ice cubes and most of the salt rim melted away.) I sent it back. Return drink was the same but there was more salt. Drinks very pricey. Server was disorganized. Served chips and condiments quickly but requests for more chips took 15+ minutes. We devoured three orders of chips/condiments before our orders were taken. Salsa (?) a red, smooth sauce was quite spicy. Its contents were unidentifiable. Guacamole was good as was queso. Pico deGallo was minced tomatoes with ? cilantro and was tasteless. Orders were taken but one member of our party was skipped over. Of course, her meal arrived after everyones. The various dishes were hot except for one. Presentation lacking. For example, lobster tacos. Three soft white tacos with white filling on a white plate. Almost every dish lacked something - an ordered sauce, beans, etc. One persons chicken breast was raw. Yes, raw. She sent it back and was unable to eat her meal. I had steak fajitas. Boring. Flavorless seasoning. Accompaniments good but I did not get an ordered side until I reminded the bartender/manager as he was packing up my leftovers. I had to go to the main dining area to flag someone down for salt and pepper. No hot sauce offered. The hostess ended up bringing in salt and pepper in monkey dishes, she had to get it from the kitchen? The bartender brought salt and pepper in shakers at the same time. Repeat drink orders were slow, uneven (in that we all ordered together and they came piecemeal). Several were wrong or did not taste like the first round. White sangria had chopped apples in it. Red, no fruit. Iced water offered when entrees arrived. Multiple apologies from the wait staff and bartender/manager citing "so busy". We had to go to them several times to correct errors or check progress. They did comp us a round of drinks and refills on the appetizer condiments. Specials very pricey. Dont bother. Azteca in Camillus is good, great service and very inexpensive - go there!

I rarely write reviews but feel I need to about this restaurant. We have been there twice and both times the service was really bad. The first time, we waited over an hour for the food and the waitress barely checked on is, it was even noticable to another waitress who stopped to apologize at our table. We couldnt even get the check from her, we had to flag someone down after sitting with our dirty plates for a long time. They dont bring or even ask if you want water. Everything is extra including chips and salsa. The second time the waitress was very nice but barely checked on us, didnt tell us about any of the specials that I heard being told to another table, and told us things were included in the dish that werent. When I think someone in charge brought us our food, I asked about the items I was told were included and was bluntly told they are not included, no apology for what I was told, and only offered to bring those items after I repeated again that the waitress told me they were included. It was pretty rude and bad customer service. The taco salad was very small for the price but the enchiladas were really good. With the bill they encourage you to go on google, facebook, or yelp and write a review! I dont know how anyone writes a good review for them. I want to like them, the atmosphere is well decorated and the menu looks really great but the service is just so bad and they need to bring water or at least ask about it and provide chips and salsa for free like any other Mexican restaurant.

My wife and I have eaten at Papa Gallo several times and have had good food/service. Until the last 2 visits we assumed the first was a fluke so we invited some friends to dine with us the second time. The place wasnt very busy and we got a seat outside right away. It was 90 degrees outside and we had to wait 15 mins for water or to meet our waitress. Finally we got some drinks, chips and salsa and placed our orders (Drinks, Appetizers, dinner). About 20 mins goes by and the MANAGER brings out our DINNER. He asked us who ordered the tacos, which I replied that we havent received our appetizers yet. He totally ignored what I said and again asked who had the tacos in a rude tone. After they set all of our dinners down he walked away no apology or anything. Finally 2 minutes later out appetizers are dropped off by our waitress and with a half hearted apology. So instead of a nice relaxing dinner after a hard work week we had to deal with that BS. Then to top the entire night off we pay with an AMEX (which I used last time). She came back and said this is the ONLY card they do not accept. Hmm that’s funny I used it last week. She went back inside to try it again and vwayla it worked! We never got an apology and the fat manager is extremely rude they have lost our business as well as everyone I know. If they would have apologized I wouldnt of felt compelled to write this review. DO NOT EAT AT PAPA GALLOS BAD SERVICE, BAD PRICES, AND HORRIBLE MANAGMENT!

Das Essen hier ist wirklich einmalig. Meine Frau und ich sind um 16:15 dahin gefahren. Wir haben im Freien gesessen. Die Burritoes waren herrlich und die Kellnerin war sehr hilfreich. Ein bisschen schwer war nur der Eingang zu finden. Deswegen habe ich zwei Fotos davon gemacht. Sie haben mir das falsche Essen zuerst gebracht. Danach haben sie das Essen eingepackt (kostenlos) und flott mir mein richtiges Essen gegeben. Kein Problem.

This is not Mexican.. It is an Americans version of Mexican.. Everything from the rice(which was bland and tasteless) to the beans (which were disgusting and sweet) is nowhere near Mexican.. My husband ordered the fajitas, he said the 3 small strips of meat in it werent bad, the rest was onion & green pepper.. My stuffed chicken was very nasty.. I never went to a Mexican restaurant that u had to pay for chips & salsa &w/ no refill on the salsa. The pico de gallo was about the only good thing.. My daughter had kids chips & salsa, her chips were stale.. Def. Overpriced too!! We spent more here than we normally do at olive garden or anywhere else!.. We wasted our time & money.. Smh

We went there to eat today and ordered two steak fahitas. It was the worst meal I have had in a long time. They gave us about 5 little chunks of pico, not even enough for one shell. When we asked for some more to put on the rest of the shells they charged us $1.50. That is ridiculous that we had to pay for food that should have come with our meal. Everything was very bland no taste to anything. When I mentioned it to the waitress she said well that is the way they do it. Will never go back there or send my friends there. I told her that we would never come back there and she couldn`t have cared less. Didn`t try to work with us.
