We absolutely love Chichimecas. The staff and owner are incredibly warm and friendly and the food is delicious. Ive had a wide variety of appetizers and entrées here. They have outdoor seating and a smoker. The smoked meats are just so delicious. The seafood enchiladas and the enchiladas Chichimecas are fantastic. The sauce on the Chichimecas enchiladas is great. Drinks are the real deal. They often give free apps and dessert. One of our favorite places. And live music too!

Margharitas are strong. Live music is pleasant. Cozy warm mexican atmosphere. Waitressing service though is good, dont expect American super smiles and sugar coating while communicating. Skirtstake meat for fajitas did not look freshly grilled. Looked like reheated in a microwave. Chorizo topped chips were very good. Portions are not big. Good place to snack, drink, enjoy live pleasant music, and socialize.

Our favorite place, whether for birthdays or just to grab a bite. Simple, fantastic Mexican food that doesnt fall into the trap of being pretentious or overly trendy like another Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. Farmingdale has been getting very busy lately, so you should call ahead, and parking may be a hassle. But totally worth it!

Awesome Mexican food that tastes fresh. Been here many times and have coworkers that regularly come for lunch. Its never too crowded so seating isnt a problem and you can actually have a conversation. On certain nights they have live Spanish music. The manager (owner?) sometimes walks around singing and playing the guitar

I thought the place was awesome good food very friendly atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable. Several times that Ive been there I was treated to samples of new appetizers and tequila shots. I recommend upstairs seating by a window that overlooks the adjacent railroad station.

Delicious food and cheap prices! The wait staff is amazing and extremely friendly everything comes in a timely manner and sometimes theyll comp a free dessert or appetizer! I have been coming to this restaurant for about 2 years and its safe to say I will be continuing to do so

Service was excellent. Offered complimentary appetizer and desert our first time there. Food was excellent, margaritas were very good, there was some live music and cozy ambiance with very fair pricing considering the caliber of service. Definitely going back!

I ordered a beef dish here and it was great. We were a large group and the waiter worked hard to make sure we had what we wanted. Separate checks no problem. I ordered an alcoholic beverage and it had a good amount of alcohol in it. Not watered-down.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Staff us super friendly, and food is great. I always order the steak fajitas with a side of guacamole. The ambiance is fantastic, mariachi band during dinner.

This place servers the best paella. I also love the chorizo everything. The smoked chicken is also unique and delicious. Live music. Friendly servers. There is a bad downstairs, and the table are upstairs.
