I have been there 3 times. I like it and I plan to return. Yes, the waitresses have an attitude and a pissed off look on their face. Yes, the place is not cheap. But, be an educated consumer. Ask for new coals for your hookah when you stop getting smoke. Stick to wine to escape the $14 dollar martinis. Enjoy the dark seductive atmosphere with your man or your lady. Focus on the beautiful experience. Tip on top of their added tip, it is only 15%. Go a few times and you get treated better as you go there. Dont, "go with a regular", become a regular. Its worth the effort. Try finding a place this nice someplace else cheaper, good luck. You wont.

Dark overpriced and staff is very stuck up. Its almost as if your not a regular then you will be waiting awhile and made to feel as if your not welcome our your a burden on them. They rather talk with regulars than serve new customers. Once you are served you feel like they went out of their way to serve you. Very poor service and staff is very rude. I wouldnt recommend going for any reason unless your friends with the small group of regulars otherwise prepare for a horrible experience that you will regret and over pay for.

Went there twice... the interior is very nice, BUT.... dont even think about ordering drinks and not be specific!!! If you order cognac, the waitress wont even ask which one and will bring you the most expensive cognac they have. End of story - overpriced (first bill for one cognac, 2 coffee and 2 tiramisu was $90 and they put tips on your bill, second time for two rolls of sushi and two drinks - $130!!!) and totally not worth it!!!

Dear people it is not about overpriced drinks. They just put one price in the menu and then charge you another price. They are saying that they use Absolute vodka for cocktails and then using some cheap vodka to make you drunk. They have cheap attitude toward the customers and I am ashamed for Russians who is doing business this way. That was my fist time in that place.

The room is dark which is good for incognito dates or first dates. The drinks are overpriced. I mean really overpriced. The waitresses serve with a face as if they do you a favour. They are plain cold. Ehhh, my advice to you all, folks-skip the place and find a better alternative to spend your hard-earned money.

This is the most Un pleasant place. The Russian staff girl was so rude and just unpleasant. On top of that she was rude. The pricing is horrible way to expensive for a crappy place. I got 1 hookah and 2 drinks got charged 80. The water is $6...they are basically rapists DONT GOOOO

Loved the place since fist visit back in 2001 and through the years my opinion has not changed - still loving it !! Dark environment and price level are matter of opinion and personal choice - looking for more light and cheap drinks? There are plenty of local diners around.

Happy hours before 11 on weekdays makes it for a perfect date spot, quite romantic music, dimmed lights, candles, hookah, and wide variety of 50% off drinks. However Tabu is a little pricey without the happy hour deal

Its cash only, the hookha is just OK, but.... This is an amazing place for a nice quiet romantic date. Its quite, dark and the atmosphere is perfect.

Staff is ok, but I would say too expensive. We had 16 different rolls, 2 glasses of wine, vodka and one ice cream, we paid $300 without tips!!!
