THE OWNER "Bill" IS A NASTY RUDE CONDESCENDING MAN and his hostesses (the older women hostesses) ARE JUST AS AWFUL. This restaurant has the most breathtaking sunsets I have ever seen. It is so unfortunate that the sunsets are spoiled by the most unkind, nasty and unpleasant staff I have ever encountered. Do not waste your time here. You will witness your waiters and waitresses getting used and abused leaving your pallet extremely uncomfortable and bitter despite your meal choice. Lets start in the parking lot. Before you even go inside of this monstrosity, if you value your car and would like to keep it free of scratches than this restaurants parking lot is not for you. Before I even walking inside I witnessed a customer who had no patients waiting for the valet and instead took it upon himself to take his own car out resulting in him hitting the car next to him and not saying a word about it. Then when you walk in you are NOT greeted by friendly hostesses but instead are treated like you are the BIGGEST inconvenience. I even witnessed a waiter carrying a LARGE tray of drinks and food and instead of her holding the door for him she walked through the door watching him struggle and just let the door close in his face. Other waiters were arguing with each other right in from of customers and bad mouthing another one of their staff members who was clearly doing his best in the business that was a Saturday night. I was waiting to speak to the manager, BILL about a party I was planing for my sister and he immediately shut me down that they do not accommodate parties even on the scale of 10 people on the beach nor do they hold reservations for such things. Our whole conversation he did not once look me in the eye, not even my face and I could not believe this man had the audacity he had in his tone and disgusting attitude. Not only until I let him know that I sat next to a very large party on the beach before did he then admit that they indeed to parties on the beach. He was rude, condescending and completely lost all my respect for the facility. I asked simple polite questions such as what weather conditions or temperature do you no longer host dinner on the beach and his answers were despicable and belittling. He kept insisting he would not know anything until the day of and he most likely would not be able to accommodate us. BILL THE MANAGER and the HOSTS were the most unpleasant, belittling and disgusting people I have EVER met. I will never ever give them a dime of my money. They DO NOT care about their customers they DO NOT care about their valet or their waiters or waitresses. Even if you are lucky enough to not encounter Bill at your dinner spent here, you will one hundred percent feel the hostility in the air becuse someone will either be rude to you or rude to a fellow staff member. This place is hypocritical and disappointing and I am ashamed to have ever given my time and money to this place. Also the food is a rip off. Bill you are awful and need to learn some manners. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WONDERFUL NIGHT AND A WONDERFUL DINNER ON THE BAY PLEASE DRIVE A MINUTE SHORTER DOWN THE BLOCK AND GO TO OCEAN. Every experience I have had there was lovely and the staff actually knew how to treat people like human beings.

Where shall I begin? First off, the parking lot is full of cars yet the restaurant felt desolate. Seeing all these high priced vehicles parked, I figured it was going to be crowded with adults. The only part of the restaurant that was crowded was the bar with a bunch of kids driving their parents BMWs. Loud, obnoxious, arrogant, disgusting kids. We were then approached by a Hostess who looked about the age of 13 and didnt know what she was doing. She didnt speak to us and just walked us to our table by the large window over looking the beach. Our view consisted of nothing more than a group of kids drinking and smoking. Fantastic. Twenty minutes later, our cheerful waitress arrived asking us if we were ready. No "Hello", "How are you doing today?", "Would you like something to drink?", etc. The kind of customer service patrons should recieve at places, right? We ordered a few drinks and we told her we werent ready because we were never given menues. She brings a few over to us along with our drinks roughly 15 minutes later. We ordered about 300+ dollars worth of food. Anywhere else probably would have been a lot less than that. Now, I dont own a lot of suits nor do I like to wear them to these kind of places. I like to be relaxed, in jeans and a t-shirt, and Im guessing thats why our waitress looked at us then another employee and whispered "I bet you they wont be able to pay for this". I dont have all the money in the world but for a twenty five year old barber shop owner on Long Island, Ive got enough. Enough to pull out in front of her to make her smirk turn into a surprised expression. However, what I didnt have was a big tip shes probably used to. If she wasnt so timid and rude, I wouldnt have left her a 1 cent tip along with a Bed, Bath, and Beyond coupon which expired. So, overall rating of Service, Experience, and Food. 0/10 I dont see how such a poorly run business can succeed for such a long period of time. Twin Harbors is far more better.

Non-residents – BEWARE! Manager is a nut job! I love the setting of this restaurant and the fact that you can have a meal while children can play on the beach while you are having a great time. So, I have been going to this place since 2012 and must have spent 2-3 thousand bucks there. We would go at least 2-3 times a year. As it does not take reservations and is busy during the summer, I tended to arrive a bit earlier (like 20 minutes or so) in order to get a table. Last Sunday, upon arrival I gave the keys to the valet and proceeded to the beach with my children to wait for the restaurant opening. I was immediately shouted at by the toothless elderly server. He has been with this place for many years. I recall tipping him generously on previous occasions. He basically told me that we were “not allowed to go to the beach”; that we “had only 1 hour and 10 minutes to finish our meal”; that people like us “have a meal and then stay on the beach, and the village residents complain“; that the manager “had a conversation with them yesterday.” In reply, I noted it was not a polite welcome. I told the guy I had no intention of staying on the beach beyond my meal and that we only went to the beach to wait for the restaurant opening. I also said I wanted to see the manager. I did get to tell the manager of my shock at the treatment but this jerk simply shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I wanted to leave immediately but my wife convinced me to stay as children would have been disappointed. The food is good and fresh although expensive. Avoid this place if you do not want to be treated like second-rate people and shouted at while paying $300 for a meal.
