Came here in the afternoon, decently busy and valet parking was available. Was greeted at the front and waited roughly three minutes to be seated. When we were seated I asked for water and my friend asked for some orange juice. About ten minutes later we got a cup of coffee. We told our waitress that we didnt order it and so she said that she will be drinking it. Five minutes later my friend got her orange juice in ice? I have never gotten orange juice in ice, ever. By this time we ordered the Salmon Benedict with Hollandaise sauce on the side and Steak and eggs (Medium well and sunny side up) We waited roughly forty minutes for our food to come out. I saw a table that came in before us get their food first. Im guessing the salmon and the steak took longer to prepare than most food, so I didnt think much of it. The food finally came out and it honestly was pretty bad. I dont mind waiting for food as long as its well prepped and good. None of the waitresses came back to check up on us, so Im guessing they were really busy when there was two or more waitresses working on our side. About an hour later, my friend felt sick and nauseated. I had immediate diarrhea when I got back home. Moral, for this diner, never go back and stay away from here.

This place is pretty consistent when it comes to the service as well as quality of food. The food is good, and the portions are pretty good as well, but I really only ever go for breakfast. Their pancakes and sausages are very good. =) The reason why this place is getting 3 stars is because their parking lot is a bit small, and nearly always packed. They try to alleviate the situation by hiring valet, but so far, every time, theyve just handed me my keys and told me to get my own car. At least they park it for me I guess. 1/2 the job is better than none. Honestly, its more of a 3.5 star type of place in my book, then it is a 3 star. Unfortunately though ,there are no half stars here. Additionally, their prices are a bit higher than other diners that serve the same type of food too. Thats ok, Im willing to pay a bit higher prices if the service, overall quality, and experience off sets the price. But in my opinion, it falls short. But dont be alarmed, I think a lot of people generally look at a 3 star review and shy away from the place. If youre looking for good food, dont worry about it. Just stop by and get some breakfast. Its good food here.

It is a nice diner. Server was very attentive and we were seated right away on a busy Sunday afternoon. The food was a bit disappointing. Yes I know, its Diner food get over it, but I expected more considering the place was packed and they had valet parking. Valet parkers at a diner? Lol. I have to commend them for that... its different and it offers job opportunities! So thats nice. The crab cakes were disappointing because it should have been called imitation crab cakes. Not "Crabmeat Cakes" like they call it on the menu. I mean, you would expect real crab meat with that name. Ive had real crab at diners so I figured its a nice diner so why wouldnt they have real crabmeat. I should have asked before ordering. The Hollandaise sauce was very thick... good thing I ordered it on the side. The Cobb salad was good but the chicken was dry seemed like the chicken was sitting there for a while and microwaved... another disappointment. Ill mostly likey be back if im in the area, it is a Diner after all and a nice one at that. The service was also great so why not.

I had a bad experience at Bayside Diner this morning. I came with my friend for breakfast, and we were seated. two minutes later, a waiter came asking if were ready to order. We hadnt even opened the menu. He left, but he returned very quickly and asked again if we were ready to order. After we were served, we started eating, and in about 20-25 mins the waiter from hell came to ask if we wanted the check. I gave him my credit card and he left. He brought me the credit card and said, "thank you and have a nice day", and we were still eating. My friend and I felt pressured to finish our meal and leave as soon as possible. To top it off, there were many empty tables around ours. I was very EMBARRASSED WITH MY FRIEND THAT I brought her to place where you are forced to chew and swallow the food the soon the better. If you want eat in A relaxed atmosphere, this is not the place. If you eat fast and dont mind being embarrassed, perhaps this place is for you. The prices are steep, for a diner. This is the worst diner Ive ever been to.

Not amazing, but not bad either. I think the reason why I keep coming back here is because of its large space (so its great for big crowds), pretty good service and convenience. My parents like to come here for large family gatherings when theres a holiday. Thats one that I can applause about bayside diner - they are open during holidays. I remember coming here last year on Christmas Eve and this year, I came during thanksgiving. The waiters are great about getting you coffee, water and all your food. Theyre quick, efficient and there are so many of them that it works out. If you request something like extra crispy fries, which I did, they remember and come back to check in on you. The food may not be amazing, but the service is great that I always come back. If you were to get anything, Id say the breakfast menu is probably the best. You cant go wrong with some eggs and waffles.

Truly not worth the money. I made reservations online about two months prior since we were coming on Christmas Day and having their special Christmas menu. Of course, they didnt have our reservations. The hosts explanation was that they have to manually write in reservations so when you do it online sometimes they "just dont get to putting it in" .....what kind of reason is that? They sat us anyway after I showed her my email confirmation, explaining that they still had room - should have been a sign. The restaurant was half empty on a busy holiday night! After all of that they sat us in the back immediately next to the kitchen where we were bombarded by loud noises and waiters/tables/chairs constantly rushing by our booth. The food was mediocre. The atmosphere was hectic. The service was uninviting. Had high expectations and wont be coming back.

Been coming here for years, but mostly before the big renovation. Came recently for breakfast with the family. One of the best reasons to come here is for large groups. Single best item was the French fries we subbed out for one order of hash browns. Crispy and fresh (freshly fried, that is). There test of the good was decent. Their further beef hash treated slightly different than your usual diner, in a good way. Maybe more corned beef flavored? The eggs Benedict were good - big piece of Canadian bacon. And the English muffins didnt get too soggy somehow. The bagel with lox had a pretty generous serving of lox. There waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The coffee cups never went dry. Food came out fast. Check came quickly when requested. Good job BD!
