My name is Alyssa J Freitas and last night I came to your establishment. I am a senior at The College of New Jersey and have enjoyed College Night for the past two years. This evening, however, I could not have been more dissatisfied, frustrated, and shocked at the ineptitude of your staff. Your regular bouncer, who I have interacted with every previous time, stopped me and told me my license was fake. As a young looking 22 year old I can see why he might take an extra look, but what I cannot understand is how he could refuse to give me back my license so I could drive home and detain my property without authority. After being told that the police would come by to check the license, my friends and I continued to wait outside in the frigid weather. When 20 minutes had gone by with no update, I MYSELF called the Trenton Police to tell them that your bouncer was detaining me without authority; I could not drive back home without my license. After an hour long delay the police came and confirmed that, surprise, surprise, my license is real. It is outrageous that your bouncer would detain me, period. It is outrageous that he would do so after I called the police myself. And it is outrageous that I would receive such treatment after my steady patronage for the past two years. My friends and I will never be coming back to Rho and you can be sure that this story will be repeated across my campus far and wide; after all, I now need to look for recommendations for a new dance club to go to. One with competent employees. Disappointedly yours, Alyssa J Freitas

Note: This review is for Fridays All You Can Eat Buffet and the Club only. Date of Visit: Sept. 12th, Time of Visit: 7:30, then stayed for the live band This was the first time Ive stopped here since it has been Rho Ristorante Discoteca. Before I attended it when it was KatManDu. The best way I can do this review is to compare it to my former experiences at KatManDu--just to see who (in my opinion) did it better. When I did go to KatManDu, I would usually go on Fridays (because of the live band), with Saturdays being a close second. Overall design, I do like the look of Rho, particularly the outdoor area--more welcoming and conducive to live band play during the summer. I do wish the seating were more comfortable, since I couldnt sit at the bar or table for long periods of time due to the lack of cushioning. Food wise, I prefer the KatManDu ambiance. There used to be more selection with the All You Can Eat Buffet. The price increased (from $5 when it was Kat to $10 with Rho) but the variety as well as the quality of the food didnt quite stand out. The Riesling I had to drink was nice, and the bartender was friendly. The live band was terrific and they had a great rapport with the crowd. Yet it wasnt particularly crowded like it was back in the KatManDu days. By around 10:30, the crowd that was there started dwindling down. This spot has potential and Im definitely opening to coming back to Rho. Maybe next time Ill try it during normal hours to get the full spectrum of the food.

Unfortunately I couldnt get in as they have a two ID policy in place door. Didnt want to carry a wallet so only traveled here with a DL and Credit card. I understand the policy is to curb fake IDs, but Im 32 years old. I suggested they Google my name on my phone as there are a plethora of news articles with pictures that would verify my identity. I also asked to speak to a manager. The security folks just ignored me. Note there was no line or waiting patrons and plenty of security staff around so I feel it was a reasonable request. Whats most frustrating is that Im the DD for the night; I havent and wouldnt be drinking anyway. By and large, the staff was a bit unprofessional and standoffish. I observed them for a few minutes after this ordeal and they were just cherry picking people out of line - no hooded shirts or jackets, no hats, no white tshirts, no earrings of certain size, etc - all these people were sent away. I assume these are all preventative measures for the safety of guests, especially considering the area of Trenton, but it still seems overboard. And if its truly not overboard, then its a red flag and I wouldnt want to be here in the first place.

I had not been here in years and decided to give a it a try one Friday night. The attitude of the SO CALLED bouncer was REPREHENSIBLE! To ask for ID is OK, BUT to make a comment like..."your gettin a little old for this gran pop" was absolutely humiliating. To the bouncers :--) get some training in PR YA BUM! To the owners :-------( SHAME ON YOU FOR HIRING THIS LEVEL OF DECAY. This is one of the reasons I had not patronized previously....NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! Weeks later I went over to Infinity Lounge and was treated respectfully and I only spent 10 bucks on drinks. The SECURITY PROFESSIONAL at their door even complimented me on my attire and the bar staff was World Class unlike your latrine which has NO CLASS.

Very disappointing for lunch. The lunch menu in past years had burgers, chicken, fish, and all sorts of tasty entrees. Now theres not even a menu! The "all you can stand" buffet is $8. According to our hostess, the theme changes from week to week. This week was "Asian." Small salad bar, nacho fixings (Asian??), fatty ribs, overcooked fried rice and lo mein, some sort of mystery stir fry, slices of banh mi, and undercooked slice and bake cookies. At least the weather was good, so we could sit outside. Otherwise, a dreadful meal. Oh, and dont let me forget plastic cutlery and plastic plates! WTH?

I have been a customer at Rho Waterfront for several years now; including when they were once known as KatManDu. Even though the place has received a face-lift, the staff, customer service and security is still less satisfactory than it should be. The business does not seem to work linear with customer expectations and I feel as if they have forgotten that customer service is the utmost crucial asset to any business. I just hope they start turning things around and become at least a bit more friendly before they shut down again.

Went to have a good time since its my first time in the North; Im from the south. I brought my ID & debit card(w/ my name on it) and couldnt get in. The man that was checking at the door(supposedly the owner) was so rude to me and I was being so sweet to him. They wanted 2 forms of ID so I had my mom send me pics of my social security card & insurance cards. Then I showed the "owner" & he went off on me. Very unprofessional. Dont go

Consistently poor bar service and drinks. The all you can eat Friday night buffet is mostly junk food. It used to be really good with ample junk food and healthy freshly prepared choices. Such a disappointment now. Yet, we go often for the music and dancing. If on a special night the bartenders dont completely ignore us and the Soul Cruisers are playing their special music, it is a great night out!

Staff is rude but you probably picked that up from previous comments, dont understand why staff is rude when we are paying for over priced drinks and paying to get in just to get poor service. Only Thing good about this place is the layout and its very spacious.
