I certainly enjoy their food, but I just had a terrible experience. The home page of their website claims in bold lettering: "We are now taking orders online," so we ordered online for delivery. 2 minutes later we got a confirmation of our order. 75 minutes later I called the restaurant, and was informed by the man who answered the phone that the online ordering doesnt work. When I told him that I got a confirmation, he told me that it works sometimes, and that the confirmation didnt mean anything. He checked if the order went through and told me it hadnt. While he apologized, he lost my business. How can you offer online ordering, send a confirmation, and then inform the customer that it doesnt work after 75 minutes and a phone call inquiring about the order?

If you prefer a thicker pie (rather than the thin crust rip offs served elsewhere) I encourage you to make a trip to Oakland Pizza. In addition to a nice chewy crust, which is still a full 18" pie, the sauce is very tasty. Beyond pizza, items on the dine-in menu are also very, very good. True, its not five-star atmosphere with fancy tablecloths, but thats what keeps the prices reasonable. Value, quality, and an always attentive staff have kept me coming back for years. [ After writing this, I think Ill order out and get something to take home for dinner tonight. ] OGS

IN an area saturated with choices in Italian restaurants, Oakland pizza has been bringing me and my family and friends back for my entire life. Having moved out of the area, this restaurant is the first stop from the airport when I get home to visit. This is the real deal North Jersey marinara, more on the robust side and with very little sweetness. Quality ingredients, high turnover, friendly owners and staff, and relaxed atmosphere.

OMG You have no idea. I ordered the special: Cavatelli with chicken & brocolli, pink sauce and melted fresh mozzarella and wow! Best dish ever. We planned to wrap and go but instead we almost licked our plates clean! Great, clean, friendly restaurant; not just another pizzeria--best in Oakland, NJ. Oh, and this cappuccino and tiramisu right now, (took it home) is delectable. Thank you Chris and even the sweetheart who says X presso!

I cant believe I even HAVE to write a review. I orderd TWICE from here, and both times they have completely messed up my order. When I called to tell them, they acted as if nothing was even wrong. Instead of giving us a replacement meal, they decided it would be better if they sent us JUST extra pasta and extra sauce. Now, I paid 50$ for a cold meal. I do not recommend ordering from here. I will not order from here again.

This place is the best around. You can tell they care because they use fresh garlic (not that jarred stuff) on their garlic bread. Their chicken sorrento is to die for even though I ask for it without eggplant. Oh and dont be fooled. Thats not James Bond behind the counter. I think he owns the joint.

Best italian food in the area. Dont go to Franks, Juniors, or any of the pizzerias in Franklin Lakes. Go here and youll always get an excellent meal. If you want good Italian heros but dont want to pay the price of going to the Italian Riviera, then Oakland Pizza is the place to go.

It is reprehensible to me that the reviews here reflect so highly on a pizza place which serves such terrible pizza. Perhaps the food stands up to the drought of fine cusine that is Oakland NJ, but the Pizza at Oakland Pizzaria is below Boboli standarts.

I worked there in HighSchool and never got sick of the food. I could probably eat there 5 days a week if i had to. Pizza is some of the best around and their food is great. I recommend the fired calamari for an appetizer or the stuffed artichoke.

So good. Reminds me of home. My mother used to make bulyalottis (like a little spiral sausage roll) I saw them in the case made with pepperoni! Im sold. Every time we come in for lunch its great.

Very creative and delicious pizza slices. Restaurant interior is roomy and pleasantly decorated. Table service is available. Dont be fooled by the rather ordinary store exterior.
