We had lunch for my 11 year old nephews birthday. It was busy but we were seated right away and the staff were great. We started with the cookie dough pancakes to share at the table, and they were great. I had the melt of the month, mushroom and bleu cheese with sweet potato waffle fries, my nephew had a burger and regular waffle fries from the kids menu, huge portion, very reasonably priced, and my sister in law wanted to try the special pork roll and had the blanco. It was 3 kinds of cheese plus an egg. I swear it was running down both her arms, LOL. The only thing she said for half an hour was mmmm and she ate the whole thing. The rest of us packed up our remains into boxes and a doggie bag, very friendly, no hassles. Then came dessert. We had seen some people have birthdays so I dropped a hint to the waiter and he came back with one of their mason jar desserts, the Smores, with a candle. We also had the red velvet oreos, which were to die for. I thought my sister in law was going to drink the sauce. She doggie bagged the remains as well, LOL. We were stuffed afterwards. My nephew said, I love it here. Lets come back for Mamas birthday next month. We both laughed at that but it is good to have such a reasonably priced and fun restaurant with such a homey atmosphere pretty close to home. Great for family and friends if you like a fun, informal meal.

When I went to the committed pig today I was actually excited and looking forward to my experience. once I got there I had a horrible experience. My experience was bad for one of many of reasons, one we werent greeted when we walked through the door. Normally, that doesnt bother me but the place isnt that big and Its not like you wouldnt notice people walking through the door. I feel that customer service should be extremely important not just to me the customer but to the establishment in the management team. We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order. The only reason someone took our order was because my brother, after waiting so longb he told the host at the hostess table that we had not even seen anyone, no one came to our table to introduce himself or herself, take our drink order, etc. Which is weird because we sat in the front of the place so its not like anyone would miss you. We received our food fast which is the only thing good that came out of this experience. But no one ever came to check on us throughout our experience, seeing if we were good, if our food was good, if the order was even right, etc. Honestly the whole time I was ready to go I didnt even want to finish my food or anything. I feel the establishment as a whole did not live up to he hype.

The Committed Pig is a great spot in Morristown for brunch or burgers, or burgers for brunch. The inside is cool and all and fine for cold days, but on a decent day, outside on the sidewalk is the place to be. There are only four tables outside, so you’ll want to get in early. Service was friendly and incredibly fast. Perhaps because of the stroller full of two sleeping infants, our food came out in about five minutes. The burgers are tasty and cooked very well to order. There are a ton of topping varieties on the menu. The pork roll sandwiches are a nice twist on the Jersey favorite and have multiple choices too. The coffee even comes in a cool thermos that will get you through two and a half cups, almost enough to wake up on a lazy Sunday.

The Committed Pig is a trendy burger joints with all sorts of weird quirks on standard hamburgers. For my entree, I had a mac & cheese hamburger, which as its name implies, was mac & cheese piled on top of a hamburger. The waffle fries were quite good. They also have items like Fried Pickles, Jalapeno Popper burgers, and a burgernut, which is the combination of a donut and a burger. I would have given this place 5 stars, but to add to their quirkiness, they refuse to serve burgers medium rare or medium well- only rare, medium or well. I chose rare, but it was really rare. Other than that, I really liked this place.

This was by far the worst experience Ive had at a restaurant. I ordered the eggs and bacon and I couldnt believe it. I ordered the eggs over medium and they were cold soupy slop. The rye toast was absolutely disgusting. To top it off the hashbrown is a frozen pre formed patty. They dont even use real potatoes, it gave me a stomach ache and tasted like a McDonalds hash brown. This place doesnt belong in Irvington nevermind Summit, NJ. I literally had to restrain myself from verbally abusing employees because of the level of anger the poor excuse of a breakfast caused.

Points for decor, especially the quote on the wall explaining the name, but that is about it. I had the Steer Herder burger - bottom bun was completely soaked through in grease. I wasnt expecting health food, but seriously I was hoping for something a little more refined considering the price. Waffle fries were waffle fries; nothing special. Coffee was good. Place was loud, service was OK. Id go back if someone else I was with wanted to, but would never choose to go back myself. Overpriced for the quality of food, though I do respect they must have high rent on the Green.

Another terrible Summit restaurant. I had the avocado omlette and it was bland needed salt. In addition it did not look fresh. The hash browns were frozen patties and the bacon was nothing to brag about. I feel the name is misleading because I assumed maybe some pasture raised meats or home smoked bacon. This place used to be called Food and it recent closed for renovations and the reopened as the committed pig. I hear the original pig owner is trying to franchise and I think this is the original owners. They need to call Gordon Ramsey or Robert Irvine.

This is a cute place to have brunch! BYOB is always a plus for me; we brought a bottle of Prosecco with us and the waiter brought out a carafe of orange juice ($6). We arrived just in time to snag the last 4-person table. Come early-ish (before 11:30) or make a reservation because it does get full. I ordered one of the pork rolls (blanco, $11: fontina, gruyere, white cheddar, fried egg, and jalapenos) because my friend told me that a pork roll is a New Jersey thing. Not bad, but can we just make it simple and less confusing by calling it a ham sandwich?

A great lunch stop that was quick but not fast food as we road tripped north. Be aware that parking may be tricky. We ended up in a nearby parking deck. The food was good. The kids chicken strips was more than enough to split between my youngest 2. My husband and I each had variations of the pork roll with cheese (think a variation on hot ham and cheese). Both were delicious and a definite do again. My only complaint was traffic getting from the interstate to the restaurant.

2 people, Friday brunch. Plenty of open tables at 1030 am. Service was pretty good. Thats it. The coffee was way over priced for a medium roast thermos of coffee. The French Connection sandwich was over priced and to add an egg is $1.50? I was not impressed. I like pork products and with so many diners in NJ, I find no reason to go back for taylor ham here. Enjoy it during off hours for the one time experience, then smile at the pig outside every time you pass by...
