When I moved to the Princeton area from NYC, I was happy with the wide variety of Indian restaurants but totally depressed by the lack of quality sushi. And Im not talking happy hour california rolls...NY definitely spoiled me and Ive become quite the picky sushi eater. There is a delicious sushi restaurant in Newtown but thats a special occasion place...so when sushi cravings hit, I had nowhere to go. Luckily I stumbled onto Masa 8. Normally I get my sushi to go (which is always amazing) but I have also had lunch at this little gem of a spot. Service is spot on, food is delicious and the price is amazing for the quality. Turns out most of the staff actually moved down here from NY to support the restaurant, no wonder its so good! :) Highly, highly recommend.

Who would guess that one of the best BYOB Sushi restaurants in the area is located in a small strip mall surrounded by farmland. Masa has a distinctly hip yet casual feel, terrific service, and outstanding sushi. You must try some of the special rolls, there are a wide variety of unique combinations. Its those smaller design touches -- such as the blow-torched volcano roll or the cold sake carafe that looks like a crescent moon -- that make Masa my favorite spot to bring to friends.

This is the best sushi place that I have been to so far. I moved in the area recently. When looking for a sushi place, this was the one that was closest. I have been going here regularly every since. Out of everywhere I have eaten sushi, this place has the best volcano roll ever. I have only gotten sushi here so I do not know how the other dishes. The prices arent too bad; sushi can end up being an expensive habit. I would recommend to anyone that likes sushi.

I was very insulted when I ordered the hibachi filet and they served me sirloin. Toughest steak ever had in my mouth. When I told the waitress, all she could say is "I dont know." But then, they act like theyre doing me a favor by only charging me for sirloin. Worse steak ever in my mouth. Asked for it to be cooked medium and came well done. I will never go back. I recommend you find somewhere else as well. The 4.6 rating soooooooooooooo misleading!

My husband and I love Masa 8 and we go there frequently. Just be mindful if you are gluten free. Youll need to bring your own Tamari (wheat free) soy sauce and also avoid the brown rice as its made with barley. It took me awhile to figure that out. They dont have it marked on the menu. Hopefully they will soon!

I love masa 8. It is really quite and some might say is boring but the food... the food is Phenomenal. Hands down it is amazing. So fresh so good. I think it is one of the best sushi places in the area. You just have to look past the small restaurant. Its amazing in most to all aspects.

I was truly surprised by this restaurant. The location is not ideal, but the food more than makes up for the location. Everything we ordered was fresh and I would easily rank it with some of the better Japanese Ive had.

First time went to Masa 8 and love it. From now on this is my favourite Japaneese restaurant in the area! Ordered special rolls and sashimi both just melted in my mouth.... so so tasty!

Nothing special about this sushi place. Went in on a Sunday afternoon and it was almost empty. Kind of cold customer service too. Food was ok.

This place is great! Best sushi I have had in the area by far. They also have great non-sushi cuisine as well. The gyoza is awesome!

I nice little spot, that was removed from Princeton, but definitely had the quality and service that youd find downtown.
