Eno Terra aspires to an upscale Italian nouvelle cuisine however they fall far short. The service and the wine list are pretty good however some aspects were not up to par for a restaurant with this atmosphere. The waitress was less than attentive and didnt really listen, she was on autopilot. We started with a sparkling rose which was served distinctively flat, definitely opened at least 24 hours previously. The wine steward when asked for help with an extensive list of French Burgundy fell flat on his face and steered us to an $88 bottle of trendy California syrah, which while good, missed the whole point. If you have 20 burgundy listed and are asked for a good earthy full flavored one, you should have an answer. The first thing on the special menu was a steak, and assuming that the fist thing on the special menu was indeed special, I fell for it. After a decent but not spectacular salad course there was an interminable wait which was weird because this was like 7 on a Thursday. Only when the main course finally arrived did I realize my mistake, as later the manager pointed out that the steak was grass fed beef and they often had customers comment that it wasnt good. So why do they keep serving it I ordered it medium rare and it came half raw literally, one side of the steak was totally raw an the other side was cooked brown to a quarter inch. Worst of all was the bad taste and boot leather texture. My wife ordered a lamb pasta which was marginally good, and I sent the steak back after tasting it. We were then offered what I have to say was a pretty lame dessert as a consolation prize. I left profoundly disappointed, $180 on the AMEX with a half bottle of OK wine to drown my sorrows with but it was wine that I didnt really ask for which made it somewhat bitter. This is the second time I ate there, the first time was shortly after they opened and the service and food were a bit better. I would be hard pressed to return.

We had the tasting menus for Valentines Day; it was an incredibly mixed & poor bag. My partner is a vegetarian & their farm to table menu readily suited her needs; her meal was good (she started with an apple/beet salad, followed by veggie rizzoto, a main of squash and veggies, & cannoli for dessert). My meal was entirely different; I had incredibly meager portions & the food was bland and often not warm. I started with white shrimp and received exactly ONE shrimp w/ a QUARTERED SINGLE mushroom. I then moved on to what appeared to be 2 tablespoons of whole wheat pasta; for my main a 2"x2" piece of grouper with no joke 10 lima beans & 10 pieces of diced potatoes. Each of us had a cocktail and our total meal cost $200. The service was god-awful slow and at one point, we had to wait 30min between courses. It was a joke. I will not recommend it for business lunches or for dining with friends.

Cozy and beautiful atmosphere, surrounded by great people, great food, and great wine.. You cant go wrong. They are excellent in all things that make for a truly fine dining experience- food, drink, and service. My husband and I got married here for those reasons! They accommodated our intimate group of family only- and we had a beautiful wedding. Our family still talks about the food and the cocktails which stood apart from standard receptions. They are so very professional, respectful, polite, personal, and truly make you feel so welcome and comfortable. The food speaks for itself- weve never been disappointed with any of their amazing meals. Their wine is exceptional as well. Eno Terra has always exceeded our expectations.. Always going out of their way to over deliver. They also have an awesome happy hour, which we only recently found out about!!

Eno Terra has an older vibe and is more subdued that its sister restaurant Mediterra. But it is at least as expensive, and the food was not as good. Everything was fine...but it was just that, fine. As my wife put it, the flavors within the dishes (both salads and entrees) never really matched. All the food seemed to be having a fight with itself. The best parts of the meal were the wine and the ice cream--the wine was French, the ice cream from Bent Spoon in Princeton--so the best parts were the parts Eno Terra had nothing to do with. The ambiance is nice, the location is picturesque, and the service was reasonable if unremarkable. Its the sort of place I could see going if money truly wasnt an object and food wasnt the point.

I just hosted a bridal shower at Eno Terra and was thrilled with everything! The guests were very pleased with the food and the portions were perfect. The decor was perfect for the bride and, while we added some small touches of our own, it really was not necessary! Also, while I was in a tizzy and setting everything up, the staff was incredibly helpful! They went and found us scissors, flower trimmers, tape, and got us drinks and anything we needed. They even helped us rearrange some furniture to make the space exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to host an event or even just go for dinner. You will be very happy!

Went to Eno for my good friends birthday celebration. Host staff were great. Bartenders were very helpful in making me a cocktail that I would like without looking at the cocktail list. Servers were prompt with great personality and anticipated every need/want. Management were truly a class act, especially the GM. Then came the food, we decided to do the tasting menu, which was the best idea since purchasing a bedit for my bathroom. I highly suggest the tasting menu to anyone. Gorgeous interior, great staff, amazing food, A+ all around. Also, dont trip, tip. Stay black.

The best dining experience ever!!! The food was excellent. Very Tasty and the presentation was a work of art as well. Everything was fresh off the farm and prepared the same day. The service was exemplary. Our server, Gabriel, was very attentive, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend requesting him as your server. He explained what was in the dish, made recommendations of Apps, wine and entrees. He was very amicable and made sure we were well taken care of. This has to be, by far, the best restaurant I have EVER been too, and I am 61 years old.

I took my parents who were visibly NJ here in hopes of a nice evening out with good food. What we received was above our expectations. An inventive menu with many delicious options. Food was amazing and a far step above other restaurants with similar price tags. The service was exemplary from our server and she was very knowledgeable and attentive. She offered up excellent options for us and checked back many times to make sure we were happy. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in central New Jersey and with good reason.

On what basis this restaurant got 4+ stars ? Ambiance is good but for such expensive restaurant it got to be good. Food lacked flavor. Granted this is Italian restaurant but I expected more selection of drinks than just pages and pages of wine. Very limited selection of appetizer . $5 for cashew that you can get it for a buck or two at grocery store ? Very little vegetarian menu, only option is Eggplant parmigiana or Pasta. Service is very slow and not attentive for big party. Starter bread is nothing to rave about.
