The Chatham River Grille has an eclectic mix of both food, ambiance and clientele. Drive slowly when you approach the place, because it is easy to miss it. They seem to be located next to a lumber yard/warehouse and across the street from a school bus parking lot. Once you enter Chatham River Grille, you realize that the restaurant is actually more bar than restaurant. We went on a Friday and there was a lively crowd of workmen from the neighboring lots, a cowboy, some boozers and the yuppies of Chatham. Since it was a Friday evening, our wait was quite long. There are only a few tables at the restaurant, but once seated, the food was mostly good. I had some very weak Buffalo Wings, but my main meal of French Dip sandwich was excellent. My wifes crabcake was large and tasty. Her calamari was generic, but good. Overall, I liked this place because it wasnt the generic uppity restaurant and it wasnt a hipster dive bar dump, it had a nice mixture of both.

This place is small but I have been going here since I was 21. The drink prices are good and the food is really good depending on what you get. The spring rolls, mozzarella sticks, spicy chicken tacos and fries are all great and the chicken parm is amazing! They have a great Mac and cheese too but it has mushroom in it which I dont love but a lot of others do. This place is very small as I said before so if your going with a big group I would call and make a reservation. As for the bar scene it used to be a good mix of people I think now its an older crowd after dinner and as the night goes on it gets to be a younger crowd. Karaoke night was always my favorite on Wednesday nights at 10 Mike the karaoke guy is great if you arent rude...if you are watch out lol and Chris and Kate the bartenders are amazing and so attentive! This place is good if you just want to hang out with some friends and get some appetizers.

Food was decent. But the noise level is absolutely ridiculous. Cant even talk to the people at your table for dinner, and afterwards there was a band that was ear-bleedingly loud. They should have been playing outdoors at that level. The bar takes up 3/4 of the dining space, and right outside the door are all the smokers. This place is big time overrated, and in a crappy part of town. No kidding, my ear were ringing for days afterwards. And better order several drinks at a time, you will never get to the bar for another. This place used to be a "townie" bar where someone was murdered, now its just your hearing that is killed. : )

We checked this place out on a whim and were very pleased with our experience. Service was very good and the food was tasty. We ordered the French Onion Soup, Nachos with Chili, Spring Rolls and split a burger. This was entirely too much food, as they have generous portions. My only complaint is with the seasoning on the food - the soup was under seasoned as was the chili on the nachos and the burger was overly salty (probably due to bacon and onions rings on it). That said, the flavor is definitely there. We will go back again and again for sure.

I love this place - its a dive bar that youll be as likely to see a stockbroker with their kids as the person who cuts their lawn. I stick to simple 2-ingredient drinks or one of their many tap beers, yet I see plenty of martinis going out. Think of it as your own personal CHEERS. My favorite food are the appys (for diner) or a sandwich (chicken ranch) - not neat and the fries are fantastic and crunchy. They have live music many fri/sat nights and when busy, it is lively and not a place for a quiet meal with a pretty good wait.

Usually really good. Decent food. Gets crowed so go early. Parking can be tough at crowded times. We have been finding that they are getting cheap on their French fries. This is the second time we have been here and the fries have been like this both times.

Stopped by for lunch with friends. Classic, authentic gin mill - quite wonderful. This is really a 3.5 star review - 3 for the food and 4 for the draft list. Appears popular for lunch - quite busy. Worth a stop but not worth a trip.

The food is amazing. The decor feels like an out of date bar. Try the truffle mac and cheese, the crab cake, or the salmon and you wont be disappointed. They are supposed to be expanding, so Im excited to see the improvements.

Open Mic Monday Karaoke Wednesday Live band weekends. Small cozy place good selection of beer and friendly staff and crowd. A bit dated but who cares ... Lots of fun :) Out door seating front and back ... I loved it.

I love coming here for date night! Great beer selection, friendly staff, and the food is awesome. Truffle mac and cheese, disco fries, burgers, pasta- never had a bad meal here, and we always end up taking some home.

Good food. Had the been soup and empanadas. It was delicious. My friends had salads and they good really yummy. The inside is not the greatest, but the food is good and the service was nice. Irecommend this place.
