i only gave them a 1 star because giving them a zero wasnt an option. When i ordered take out from them i ordered only one thing, a combination platter from the combo menu. After an hour and 15 minutes of waiting ( even though they are located up the road from me) they finally arrived only to find out they gave me the wrong food. i called them up to tell them what happened and not only did they hardly understand me, when they figured it out they SCREAMED at me saying it was all my fault and that IIIIII had ordered the wrong thing! i proceeded to tell them that i ordered exactly what i wanted and that the person on the phone even REPEATED the order back to me and still they were extremely rude and continued to give me the most horrible attitude. after hanging up, i went to go eat what they gave me as i had just spent an extremely over priced 15 dollars for it and i found not only one, but TWO hairs in my food. im not sure if their attitude, poor service, or terrible hygiene disgusted me most but i will be sure to NEVER EVER EVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN and i hope people read this to ensure that no one else does.

I am a bit surprised reading all these reviews. I have lived in Budd Lake for 23 years. My family loves chinese food and we order take out from the West Lake Chinese about once a month. It is the best chinese food in the area, I have tried them all. The pork fried rice is so fresh and the food is always hot when delivered! the price is average for chinese, but worth every penny!

Im going to be completely honest about this place. They have some good and some bad dishes. Your going to have to try them all yourself but so far: The Lo Mien is great, a bit greasy but thats sorta normal. The Rice is yellow, I like old school Brown pork fried rice but Im sure if you ask for it theyll give it to you. Ribs were okay...

We have been ordering from them for more than 10 years. Great food and very consistent, Prices are very fair and cant remember the last increase. Pick up is usually faster than delivery. Local family - love giving them our business.

Weve lived in the area 12 years and West Lake is hands-down the best local Chinese take-out in our opinion. We dont do delivery so cant comment there, but were never disappointed when we pick up.

Great food. Expensive and slow. But good food comes w a price. Tried Beef broc, lo mein, dumpling, fried rice, gen Tsao, sesame chick, wanton soup.
