Family and I were visiting Reno for a pole vault convention. We all were hankering for boba and found this gem. Their boba teas were delicious. So much so that we have been back multiple times over the 4 days we were there. We ordered the strawberry teas, boba milk tea and the taro milk tea. The taro milk tea was nice and creamy and the strawberry teas were perfectly sweetened. Their pearls were also sweetened just right. We also stayed for dinner one of the visits and their food was also wonderful. We ordered the popcorn chicken, the zha jiang mein and the pot roast pork. The popcorn chicken was tender and marinated well. The zha jiang mein was incredible. The flavors were unique and noodles were cooked to a good consistency. My husband didnt enjoy the pot roast as much, probably because it was a little too fatty for him. I thought that the flavor was nice, and it reminded me of a pork soup that we Thais make. The service here was also pleasant. They were attentive and the food was prompt. Overall a great experience. Well worth the money spent.

After driving for more than 5 hrs on the treacherous highway80, from Bay Area to Reno . We spent more than 2 hrs near Truckee/Donner area - parking alike chain/SUV required because of the snow storming condition. We were so happy the 101 is still open. Unfortunately, we encountered a very inpatient waitress who seemed so disappointed of seeing us walking in 20+ minutes before 9pm closing time. Thankfully, she realized it was not a right attitude towards the late customers and quickly reminded the kitchen not to shut the stove off. Later, the two delicious noodles were presented to us deliciously. Were amazed how fast the food were served. After a few quick bites and noticed so many staffs were leaving the restaurant, we decided to help them and not to delay any further by asking for doggy bags to go. The sour veggie with pork noodle was delectable as expected. The half beef/tendon was tender but a bit salty. But still very good. Id still recommend this restaurant.

Ive visited 101 Taiwanese on three occasions and the food is consistently very good. I like the Taiwanese Style Sausage and Simmered Beef Tripe appetizers, Stir-Fry Squid With Basil, Satay Squid Stew Rice Noodle Soup, Braised Pork Taiwanese Hamburger, Spicy Chicken With Basil, and Chicken Curry Over Rice. There is also Boba!! The restaurant is located in a small shopping center and on-site parking is limited so youll have to park on the street in the surrounding neighborhood. Service is generally very good depending on who you get.

Simply amazing Taiwanese food. Beef soup, beef roll, pop corn chicken, the Taiwanese lunches that have side of egg and picked vegetables are kind of like a Bento box. Zha jieng mian is like Taiwanese spaghetti and meat sauce. Is also very good. I come here for Taiwanese food, and it never disappoints. They have lots of seating now, too. I havent tried their Chinese dishes which cover some of the common American Chinese dishes. 5/5 Stop by this place if you havent already! And order their bao sandwich with pork belly!!

I didnt expect to find good Taiwanese food in Reno and this place was no exception. We ordered the braised beef noodle soup and two rice dishes (ground pork, and pot roast pork). The waiter was rude and tried to blame us for a mistake he made with our order. The noodle soup was okay, but beef was somewhat chewy. Both rice dishes were too sweet for my taste. But, the pot roast pork tasted the best. I would not come here again.

This place is simply the best Chinese food in town! Since it is actually Taiwanese, they have many unique dishes you wont find elsewhere and they also put their own twist on some of the traditional staples. Been coming here for years and everything Ive tried has been delicious but my personal favorite is the Beef Wrapped Pancakes. Try it with the house peanut sauce as well!

Fabulous little hole in the wall with some of the best Taiwanese food weve had. My wife and I lived in Taipei years ago, and this brought back memories. Very fun and a great staff. You will wait for a table during peak times, so go early or late. We waited about 15 minutes. Very worth the wait. Also, if youre a vegetarian, you will like this restaurant a lot.

This place always has great food and their service has gotten better too. They have authentic Taiwanese cuisine, try the beef roll pancake, zha Jiang main (Taiwanese style spaghetti bolognese), braised beef soup, and the popcorn chicken! They also have bento boxes which have an assortment of pickled vegetables and a seasoned hard boiled egg on the side.

We got out of the casino for food and gave 101 Taiwanese a try. Staff was friendly and efficient--never had to ask to have my water refilled. The food was interesting and tasty. I wish I had been a bit more adventurous, some of the other tables had some really curious dishes, but my tofu dish was good and the stir fried green beans were excellent.

Have tried to eat there a dozen times. Finally called them @ 5pm to check seatings. The reply was there is no problem and they suggest we should just drop by. We did @ 530pm and the line was over an hour long. Should tell customer the truth if there is a line. There are many nice restaurants in town, no need to waste hours for food there.

The food was really good here! Im not a big Ma-po tofu fan, but we ordered it here and it was delicious. The Scallion cakes were also very good. We also had the Orange Chicken which was good, but not remarkable, and my daughter ordered the fried rice which was a little salty but tasty. I would definitely come back and try more dishes.

The food is good, and the options varied and authentic, but 101 feels a little bit expensive considering how much food youre getting! Aside from the ratio of price to food, though, theyre a great place with lots of space and friendly staff. As a bonus, the open kitchen is a nice touch to see how the chef makes your food!

This is the best Chinese/Taiwanese food I have ever had. The Kung Pao Shrimp and house fried rice are definitely worth it. Its a little spendy compared to other places that have Chinese food, but it is so worth it. This is a must try place in Reno and a hidden Gem.

Do get their Beef noodle soup. The spicy chicken is ok but not that great. Beef noodle soup is something of a comfort food they just do so well. No parking here during lunch, so be prepared to park across the street. Is it worth it? It is worth trying.

Authentic Taiwanese food, worth the wait, but a bit expensive. Dont eat the American Asian food in the casino, unless thats what you prefer. Loose one star because the seating assignment by the person handling the wait list just doesnt seem efficient.
