well to start i went here based on my past experiences. so i had some family come to town and i told them how great the M buffet was and that we had to go here. i was thinking that i would show them how we do it here in vegas by taking them to an awesome seafood buffet. but boy was i wrong . i have been here 4 other times with my wife Gigi and my boys ages 9 and 10 . and in the past everything was great. but this time boy was i wrong . to start off we had stacks of dirty plates stacked up 3 or 4 high in 4 different piles and they sat like that for like 10 - 15 min.. we had our fresh plates on the table and we were trying to eat but had a hard time because know body cleared our table finally a server cleared them for us and it was not our server . secondly only 3 of of guest had drinks and this is because the got them from the beer and wine station my wife and i were on our 2 round of food before i flagged a server down and had to ask him for drinks because we dont drink alcohol and this was atleast 30 to 40 minutes after we were seated. to say the least i was getting very upset. i was so freaking mad that i recomended this place to my family for 40 dollars a wack service better be spot on and it was by far some of the worst service i have ever recieved here in the valley and i am a local. still this was not the worst of it . some of the food was terrible the sushi rice was so hard you could not eat it and the oysters had seen better days and thats what i think got part of my party because shortly after we left and returned home 5 out of the 7 in my party started getting sick and we were all in the bathroom off and on all night and part of the next day at the worst of it, it was coming out both ends . not to be gross but fact are facts. so by now my wife and i are absolutely livid and so she calls the M resort and asks to speak with the buffet manager and all she could get was his voice mail finally he called her back and she told him what had happened and all he said was would you like to file a incident report with security. he did not appologize for the service or for the fact that we got sick all he did was pass the buck. freaking terrible managing skills. i have worked here in LasVegas for the past 12 years in he F&B department and so has my wife and this should have been handled in a different way. we are not out for a free meal but when i was managing and someone had a problem like we did you usually try to compensate them or try and find a solution to the problem but this manager just past the buck and did not care what happened to us. my wife and i will never ever be going back here again and when asked what we think about there buffet from tourist we will tell them to stay away and tell them they are better off going to the RIO or the WYNN buffet or anywhere but the M because atleast they will get good service and quallity food and managers that will take the time to try and find a fair solution to any issues that may arrise because issues do happen from time to time but they are usually handled in a more proffessional manner. I ended up leaving a 10 dollar toke on the table but i should have stiffed the server but i could not bring myself to do it. if he would have done his job correctly he would have made 20-25% of the check which would have been 60-70 dollar toke but he blew it by his poor service skills. i hope this helps out to all who reads 11/4/2012

I always forget, but some staggering % of crab legs and shrimp come to Vegas with a majority of that coming to the buffets all across town. My friends seem to like this buffet, like a lot, while I am a little more discerning. The M Hotel way to the south of the Strip is in Henderson, you know that city when you come down the hill into Vegas. While most things in this area are still in the shadow of the opulence of the Strip, this is a shiny beacon stating there is more to Vegas than the Strip and even Old Vegas. The Buffet is way on the East end of the building. The line moves quickly with the bulk of their business being the seafood buffet on Fridays-Sunday which is significantly more than the rest of the times as it’s billed as “Seafood Buffet”. Quite frankly they don’t have that much seafood and it’s marginally different from what I can get back home at Choices Buffet in Pala Casino. It’s worse in some ways. First off the service was excellent from the cashier to our waiter who was cranking on our drinks and clearing, but ghosted us after we got coffee. Also they only give you 1 set of silverware, so be sure to keep yours or you will have to ask the waiter for more, there is no silverware area at the buffet, weird huh? Salad’s were on point from the red cabbage (sweet, light), to the poke(plenty of non wakame seaweed, sweet onions and toasted sesame seed oil). I was impressed with the Asian food, something from every cuisine, they even had pho and the broth was good (a little heavy on the star anise). The prime rib/rib roast was dry as was the turkey, kielbasa was ok. The sushi was super basic and bland. The oysters were bland, though I was impressed by the mignonette. Their butter game is weak using plastic cups and the crab legs are pre-split down the middle which for most people is a great convenience, but for an experienced and highly efficient crabber I get more without the help. They also break the individual clusters which is way messier (they didn’t used to). 1 side has the butter the other does not. Shrimp cocktail sauce is bland. Desserts were ok (pistachio/lemon gelato combo son). They have a barista doing some basics. Omelets station could be more delicate as I saw 2 sloppy one’s get sent out. Beer and wine are included, but most people don’t drink while they eat and the selection is bunk. Tucked away in the corner. No bathrooms inside the buffet area and even the one’s nearest are packed as it’s in the heaviest traffic area. Go to the one’s by the sports book, they get the least traffic. You do have room to move around and the room is nice and open, no smells permeate. As a foodie who has eaten more buffets than most I consider this good, but would never eat here as a destination, probably why we always come here on our way out of town, just because.

This is my favorite buffet in Las Vegas! The food is absolutely delicious! The only thing that keeps me coming back. Now for the negatives...The service was OK. But I dont blame the staff. They do the best they can under the circumstances. Which are the GAWD-AWEFUL trashy, lousy, rude, nasty and drunken customers. JESUS TOUCH ME! Was Olive Garden closed or something? Screaming kids everywhere, throwing food, trashy looking girls who look like they just strolled off off of Main Street and Vegas Drive after working it for quarters. Or the group of over cologned, orange tan, gold chained guys with their 75 year old wives who look like Charo off a LOVE BOAT episode. The table next to us was a family of four...2 screaming brats, mother and father. Both (the parents) DRUNK as sailors (I counted 16 wine glasses on the table) the father was so drunk he couldnt hold his eyes open and mom was staggering back and forth to the wine bar. We over heard them say to one kid, "Wait til we get home. You can play in the back yard when we get home." OMG!! REALLY? They were apparently local and were going to DRIVE home in THAT condition??!! Lord help those kids! And lets not forget about Cho Cho San Mei Ling, who stepped over the rope with several of her fresh-off-the-boat-- looking like leftovers from a bad summer stock performance of THE KING AND I family...cutting in front of 60 or 70 people in line to pay. Ching Chang Chung jumps right up to the cashier when it was my husbands and my turn at the cash register!! Aaawww HELL NO!! Both my husband and I went OFF on her and her boat family about cutting in line and not waiting her/there turn. I snatched my earrings off and was ready to rumble until the cashier intervened. Chow Chung Mei Ling walked away back over to the line. WHO THE HELL DO SOME PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE??! Suffice to say, STUDIO B is by far the best buffet in Las Vegas for the food. But the customers/clientele are straight from Garbageville HELL. Classless, nasty PHILISTINES!
