Located a short drive just south of downtown on 10th Street, Echo Coffee is located on the first floor of the CO2 building. Echo Coffee is spacious and tasteful with many little eclectic touches, from the sparkling crystal sconces and carved wood trim on the wall to the gleaming copper cups and the silent movies playing in the background. Its even dog-friendly! The glass east wall lends to the feeling of openness and light. Sit on the patio and read the paper or soak in the the sun. This is a coffee shop, but its not some chain. The coffee is hand-roasted and served in a French-pressed pot. Theres espresso, and the salted caramel machiato is to die for. For something truly unique, I recommend that you try the Flower That Never Fades. Its served in a glass tea pot and as it expands, the hand-wrapped tea becomes a flower. Pastries are from Sweet Magnolias (mmmmmmm). There is even free Wi-Fi if you need some place to work in peace. Parking is easy. Echo Coffee has easily become my favorite coffee place in Omaha.

First of all, you need a gingerbread latte in your life right now. Second of all, Im pretty sure this is the only place in Omaha where you can get a sustainable cup of coffee. The cups are biodegradable, the milk and eggnog are from the Nebraska dairy Burbachs (north of Omaha), and all the food is sourced and prepared in or near Omaha. Obviously the coffee isnt local, but its roasted at Archetype and the beans are sustainably grown. Its the only place in Omaha where you can buy Nicodemus Pancake mix (arguably the best pancake mix ever AND of course locally sourced). And the pastries! Theyre made at a woman-owned bakery in town called Black Bottom Biscotti. If youre into sustainability and local sourcing and you want one of the best cups of coffee in the city, this is where you want to go.

The barista clearly knew nothing about coffee when she was completely shocked that i would want more than an ounce an a half of espresso for a 16 ounce latte. Its pretty standard fair to have 3 or at least 2 shots of espresso in a drink that size. The coffee itself was just OK and the breakfast sandwich was nothing special. If you like paying extra for additional shots just to get to status quo then this is your place.

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and went here based on reviews. It did not disappoint. My wife got the dark roast coffee and I got a white chocolate latte for drinks. She got an everything bagel and I got an Apple cinnamon muffin. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are looking for something off the beaten path.

I was just looking for some tasty coffee before a trip to the botanical garden, and this just happened to be on the way. French press, brewed to order, delicious. Looks like they offer espresso and more fancy drinks and food, which I didnt try, but I did use the free Wi-Fi to plan my day at the gardens. A lucky find.

I usually come here around 7 in the morning and its easy to get in and out. The atmosphere is very nice and they have a lovely outdoor seating area which is very green and surrounded by pretty Landscaping. This morning I had a breve and a muffin and they were both good.

Not knowledgable...my coffee was not hot and they said they didnt want to make another pot because they just made one. Just steamed it with the steamer. Who does that?! And what coffee shop doesnt have skim milk? Not coming back. I liked it when it was Echo.
