Though Im not a huge fan of Perkins food (in general...not specific to this one) I have been in this location a handful of times. Its not SO bad that I wont go if someone I am with wants to go. Sometimes service is good/food cooked to best of their ability and sometimes service is awful and the already bland menu is seemingly prepared by middle schoolers. Because of my job, I know several ppl that have or do work there and a common problem is "drama amongst the workers" and Ive seen it myself. The degree of drama at any point def impacts the experience. HOWEVER! today Im waiting for my car to be fixed next door and its hot af outside. Possibly 100 million degrees. So I walked over to see if I could get a drink to go. As Im waiting for the gal to bring my iced tea, Im fully prepared to pay for it (hence my fanning myself off with my debit card desperate for an efing breeze) and she saw my card and told me it was on the house! There was no reason for that! I wasnt a complaining customer! Just a nice thing she did out of the kindness of her heart! That right there took my 2 stars to 3! Thank you Kearney Perkins! I know there is little yall can do about the suffering menu but clean up your staff and Id be happy to give ya another star! Good Things: Place is clean Food is prepared in sanitary conditions Restrooms are kept Most the crew is friendly Good family environment esp for kids Really good diet coke Breakfast is the better meal Give free cookies to kids Not so good: Terrible menu Priced a bit high for medicore food (but not rediculous or anything) Inconsistent service Watery iced tea Bickering staff The cookies they give to kids are AWFUL (but hey, they get points for trying) Supper menu is awful

One word... Horrible! Was hungry enough to eat my own left arm off when we got there. Waited a full HOUR to get our food & they werent overly busy, at all. Pork chop was scorched & came with no maple glaze, burger was over-cooked, too. The burnt-black fries added an unpleasant touch to an already unpleasant experience. And the appetizers came out in time for desert, to our surprise. Took another 15 minutes to flag down our waitress for a piece of pie. But why wouldnt it, she never came back once to check on us or to get us refills. Was there a good 1.5+ hrs. Our hostess was smart enough not to even ask us how our food was. Our advice to anyone who visits the Perkins in Kearney is to save yourself $76 and dine-n-dash, instead. The one star is only for the turd that our carcinogen-packed supper produced.

The service was so terrible, I was beginning to think my family was being pranked. Ive never not left a tip or complained to the manager, but I have now. The food is what you expect at Perkins. And most Perkins I have been to are pretty quick and the service is great. The one in Kearney, NE fails. Our waitress did anyways. I wont get into all her minor errors before completely forgetting 1 of our orders and then asking if we wanted our check. She was also screwing up the orders of the table closest to us. I could understand if the place was busy, but it wasnt. We were just passing through and will obviously never eat there again. But I wouldnt take the chance of getting the worlds worst waitress.

The worst ever! 3 meals and nothing was right! Shrimp was raw on one, potatoes were ice cold on one and eggs Benedict came out on a biscuit not a muffin. Not to mention the table was dirty and there was a booster seat under the table. Coffee was weak and iced coffee tasted like watered down milk on ice! This happens all the time! When are you going to get these 2 managers out and get someone who cares?!? Someone needs to open a different 24hr restaurant and shut Perkins down!

Two of my friends and I ate at Perkins Thurs. evening before going to the play, South Pacific. Our servers were Alex and Arianna. Our food was excellent and the service even better! They encouraged us to take our time and keep visiting and were so friendly and kind! Even when they had to redo our receipt as we added pie, they did so happily and just made sure we were happy with it all. We were! Keep up the great work, Alex and Arianna! We will definitely be back!

This location has an awful staff and after watching them in the works all I can say is they are only as good as their management staff. Poor attitudes, they talked bad about guest after they left (in ear shot or directly to other guest), and they were running an electric vaccum in front of tables while they were eating which very distasteful and even rude when a guest asked them nicely not to. I would not reccommend the service here at all!

It was a total disaster. Took forever to get food. Once we finally got it some was missing. After 4 trips back to kitchen we got all of our food. One sandwich was cold and overcooked. Sent that one back. The manager did try to make it right, took the bad sandwich off our bill and gave us some muffins to go. Total time at restaurant was about an hour and 20 minutes. Shouldve just went to McDonalds next door.

I usually enjoy restaurants like this. However, it has a lot of problems. The food is never cooked to expectation, hence an undercooked chicken breast, and the waiters are never around. I had to call the front desk to get somebody out of the kitchen after I have been sitting for an hour without a beverage. This place would be more efficient if it had a different manager and staff.

3-6-16: Sat and waited for the waitress to take our order for 30 minutes. She walked past us picking up dirty dishes from other tables and asking others how everything was. It was about 11pm and there was only about 5 other people in the restaurant. When we told the waiter we were going somewhere else he just nodded. Would never go here again, let alone recommend it to anyone.

This place consistently has poor service and food thats lacking. However, its also where the drunks go at 2 am. Considering this place is a magnet for bad customers, I understand the staffs sheer and utter apathy towards the guests. I dont come here for phenomenal service or great food. I come here because Im craving bacon pancakes at 10 pm in a conservative, "college" town.

I have been to several Perkins and by far, I always have the best experience when I vist Kearney. The staff is friendly, the food is great and the coffee always tastes the way Perkins coffee is suppose to taste, fresh! I definetly recommend stopping here if youre ever in Kearney. If you havent been there in awhile they just had a remodel and I love their new look.

If i could give a negative * I would! Wonens bathroom smelled like it hadnt been cleaned in months..old urine overwhelmed as soon as you open the door. Table was dirty...menu dirty.. waitress yook our drink order and I decided I wasnt going to have my daughter eat in a place like that. Told waitress we would find somewhere else.
