There was a Groupon for 2 $50 giftcards, so I wanted to check out this place on my St. Louis Trip. Our server greeted us when we first came through the door and seated us right after. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and checked up on us often. She did inform us that the pancake batter was not holding up properly and theyre no longer going to serve pancakes for the day. (totally understandable, it happens) We went here for brunch and ordered Champagne Flight, Crabby Bennie, Bacon/eggs, and Cesar salad. The Champage flight came with 3 different champagnes throughout the world in 3 oz. The Crabby Bennie was cooked perfectly and very delicious. The crab was very tasty and had tons of flavor. The Caesar was made perfectly as well. They also offer fresh ground pepper when they place the salad on your table. We then came back here for dinner because we had to use the remaining balance on the giftcard since we were leaving that day. We ordered the Old Fashioned drink, Roll out the red carpet, strip steak (11 oz), Caesar salad, and beef/vegetable soup. Everything was delicious and amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was an awesome experience. I would recommend this place to family/friends if they visit St. Louis. Also thanks to Groupon/Robust for the awesome deal!!

A bit pricey for the normal dinner meals and for poor college students like me. However, the atmosphere is really exquisite and the food is delicious. Dont expect a lot of food for your money though, plates are small if youre really hungry. It has a very NYC kind of feel to it...Reminded me of home. If you come at late night, the people there are usually very dressy so I felt out of place with a hoodie and jeans. Despite that, the staff there are still very nice and knowledgeable. I didnt get to try the wine but they have such a huge menu for it! Hummus was to die for, so smooth and silky. The chicken breast tasting plate was full of taste even though it was a bit small. I think it was the best chicken Ive ever had! This was the only thing i wished I could take home with me. BUT warning, the olives are very salty...They were in my hummus and salad and I had to not eat them after a while because all I tasted was salt. BLEGH.

$75 for two one cheese appetizer one small plate each one flite (3, 1.5oz servings of wine) each one creme brule The cheese appetizer was 2oz. luckly they included enough toasted bread to provide something to snack with the wine. The cheese was good but for 8$, the portion size rediculusly small. I had the "large" ceasar salad. (it would fit in a one cup bowl). Salad was dry - it was dressing starved. At least it was fresh. My wife had a pork tenderloin special. The pork was rare, RED center. Waiter insisted it was fully cooked. Only the outside 1/16" ring of the medalion was white. Waiter claimed a special cooking process that keeps it moist and red. It was not smoked. It tasted raw to me. Wines were seriously overpriced easily 4 times simple retail value. Marginal wines selling at an unjustified premium. Service was fine, but value was lacking. I wont be back.

Looks = great, atmosphere = great, Music= great, 2 glasses of a basic red blend 27.00 cheese plate 17.99, 2 tiny crab cakes 17.99total = 62.99. wine was flat, or just a low quality, cheese plate low end as in when the menu compares the Spanish cheese as similar to manchego vs it is manchego... Crab cakes were very good. Wait staff great. Overall a nice place that is expensive and serves cheap items made to look like quality. Will not return as there are far too many places to explore. I choose this place because I was hoping for a decent glass of wine from a wine bar. I would expect a wine bar to actually smell the wine before it is served, or at least know the age or if it is flat. Unless of course it was just a cheap wi e served at an expensive price.

If you are looking for a cozy wine bar with amazing food whose staff treat you like family, this is your place! Robust has always been one of our favorite spots, but they recently went above and beyond when it came to celebrating our parents 30th wedding anniversary. The staff at Robust created personalized wine flights to kick off a big vacation my parents had planned. They also left cute treats on the table and took such great care of them. My dad even said, "they treated us like royalty". Thank you, thank you, thank you to Robust and the staff for making their anniversary dinner so special! We will forever be customers of this amazing place!

Hate to steal someone elses title but its true. My friend and I went on a Tuesday night with a Groupon coupon. It was not busy. Our waitress just disappeared from servicing our table even though she was never more than 15 feet away behind the bar. Had to ask for water from another server. Had to track her down to order dessert. The espresso drink was served cold. And it was supposed to be that way. My pork tenderloin and pumpkin risotto was very good. The cheese plate was attractive but light on cheese. Our coupon rendered the price quite reasonable. I wont go back because yes, you can do a lot better in St. Louis.

I didnt like this place. This place is a wine bar. Its OK if youre a thirty-something woman that likes wine in an upper class neighborhood. Even though its not for me, the ambiance is good--cozy and not too loud. Maybe even romantic. I dont know. The staff is really attentive, and the prosciutto and cheese plates we snacked on were... well... ham and cheese. Nothing amazing considering the prices. Our wine drinkers got 3 different types of wine at once. I stuck with beer. These guys gotta pay their rent. Go with friends who love sniffing and talking about wine--if you can stand that sort of thing.

I went there for the first time recently, and it was a great experience. They were having a wine tasting so I got to try several wines before I even sat down for dinner and drinks. I was there by myself so I sat at the bar. The staff was very friendly and made conversation, so I didnt feel alone. The food was delicious, and they also have some great vegetarian options, which I love. I agree the menu is a bit pricey, but its a wine bar in Webster Groves, what do you expect? Also, I felt the price was worth it. I will for sure go back, and will recommend it to my friends.

Robust Wine Bar was excellent. My partner and I stumbled across it while walking around downtown St. Louis. The decor was trendy but well done, and the wait staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The wine flights were reasonably priced, and offered a nice selection of whites and sparklers. The cheese plate was fantastic, and our small plates were both divine! I recommend the Bistro Strip Steak to any foodie - it was perfection. Two wine flights, two cheeses and two small plates came to $90 with tip - a tad pricey, but well worth it.
