First of all I am a Liberty resident and love independent establishments like this. Something you cant get anywhere else. This review is sort of broke into three categories. Food, Beer, Service/Policies. I hope the owners take this review to heart because I really do overall like Rock and Run and I know they are constantly learning and adapting to their customers since they have only been around one year. First off Five stars for the food. I have enjoyed everything I have eaten there, including the marinated steak fajita wrap I just picked up today :) Beer I will give four stars. Guys sorry to say but I am not a real big fan of any of the home brews yet. None of them suck but none of them are incredible. They are all just okay. But I do commend you having an incredible selection of craft beers besides your own. Easily the best selection in Liberty I think and it is constantly rotating which is awesome. love the tap takeovers which you have started doing lately. Keep it up.. My main issue with the venue, and the reason I dropped from 4 to 3 stars are some of the policies in place. I really want to like your establishment and continue to come back again and again but I am starting to have less than stellar experiences lately and it is starting to turn me off. First let me say the people have always been awesome. Very friendly staff so it isnt that. My first policy gripe is seating people before their entire party arrives. This doesnt need to be all the time, maybe just friday/saturday night when it is packed. I have a family of four (3 and 6 year old). We arrive a couple weekends ago and waited for 45 minutes for a table when I counted three other tables with ONE person sitting at them...not eating...not drinking.. just waiting for the rest of their party. The lone scout grabbing a table because they knew it would be busy when the entire party would arrive. As a restaurant you must know that the more tables your turn, the more money you make so already this non-policy is hurting your pocket book. By the time we were seated and finished eating, none of the three incomplete parties had finished. They were taking up a table for over an hour and a half. That is just pissing up waiting customers and losing money for the establishment. I cant tell you how pissed i was watching those people sit there for 45 minutes when we could have ordered eaten and left before any of their party had arrived. Not to mention we got there at about 10 after 5 and happy hour ends at 6. Luckly our waiter still honored happy hour prices for our first round of drinks and our appetizers (plus threw in a free appetizer for the wait) but I didnt know that when I was sitting there watching my happy hour tick away..lol OK second thing I just noticed today for the first time. Why in the world would you charge a pickup fee? I understand delivery fee or tips for waitresses but why do I have to pay a fee if I call you, drive to you, pick up and pay for the dinner without using any of your staff to wait on me, and then immediately leave. The business makes instant money for doing nothing but cooking. Yet on the receipt I notice a fee because I chose to pick up my food instead of eating it there. This may be common place but I have never seen that before. Why the nickel and diming? Just dont get it. Anyway if the home brews were awesome the two policy issues would have only drug this down to four stars...but without the policy issues I would have only given 4 stars which is still really good. Give these guys a chance. They really are still learning and getting better all the time (e.g. an updated list of perks for club members...which was really cool too)

This place is awesome! My wife and I stopped in late on a Monday night. The man behind the bar greeted us warmly regardless of the hour and took great care of us all night. He was very knowledgeable about the beer they had and seemed to really enjoy what he does for a living. He stopped by often with samples of their beers as well as some of his own creations (most were delicious!!). While the menu doesnt boast the lengthiness of a Chilis or 54th ST menu, I was still very satisfied with the love and attention to detail that went into every dish they brought out. Again, the love of ones job really shines through in this area. Towards the end of our meal, a man who Im assuming was either a manager or owner stopped by (guy with a beard). He asked us if we were satisfied with our experience and very wholeheartedly accepted my VERY small criticism about one thing. Both employees I met face to face seemed very eager to please and create a good experience. I know this review is lengthy and if youve read this far, STOP READING AND GO HERE!!! I seriously cannot give this place enough kudos. I was there Monday and already have plans to go back Saturday for lunch. Well done Rock and Run. Youve got my business!!!

We came in for a late lunch on a Sunday around 3pm and were seated right away. Got our drinks and placed our food order. The food came out in a timely manner and was quite tasty. Main complaint was the service and how quickly it seemed she wanted us out even though they were not busy. Before we had ate 1/4 of our meal the waitress asked if we would like dessert. Im not even thinking about dessert at this moment but focusing on what is in front of me. Perhaps we were taking too long to eat, which happens on a lazy Sunday, because she then dropped the check off when we still had about 1/2 our meal on our plates. I was enjoying some of their craft beers and would have had a couple more, however when the check was placed on our table we were not asked if there was anything else she could get for us or even if we were ready for the ticket. We will be back, the food was good and I really enjoyed the variety of beers they have to offer & the atmosphere is great. However I felt like the waitress was perhaps at the end of her shift and was ready to leave so she was trying to get our table done as quickly as possible.

I went back to Rock and Run tonight with my family. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely attentive. Our server made sure that we had everything we needed throughout the whole night. I got the salmon which was amazing. I really want that recipe! My husband got the burnt end sausage, he said it was great and has already talked about going to get more. My sister had the macaroni and cheese and devoured it. My brother had the bangers and mash, he said it was delicious. My other sister is a vegan and they made sure she was taken care of. All of our plates were clean! We also had the hummus (best hummus I have ever had) and the calamari for appetizers, they were great! I am very glad I went back to Rock and Run. I will definitely be going back.
