The only thing i genuinely liked about the place is how fresh the deli meats are. I came in during lunchtime not knowing what this place is. Their menu is large, but unfortunately the combos and individual pricings make it difficult to decipher for first-time customers. By the time we got past the upselling and payment, what was only two sandwiches somehow became $30? For cold sandwiches? Thankfully we found a groupon so the price was less. The sandwich itself was no doubt FRESH as hell, but it was very dry and forgettable the way it was served. The person who made my sandwich disregarded everything i wished to add on my sandwich, and served it cold even though it was advertised as a warm sandwich. (Side note-there was no other customer here until long after we received our sandwiches, so Im not particularly happy about the lack of effort for my 15$ sandwich.) This was the worst part- for a a 30$ lunch, i expected my sandwich to /at least/ be made to order, like every other sandwich shop. Also, i noticed that the complimentary bread sits on the counter without serving utensils, risking being tainted by anybody who dares to take one.

I guess people who rate this 5 stars have never really eaten at a great NY or Chicago deli. Dont get me wrong, the food is not bad, but its average at best. Regular, store bread and buns. No special or unique sauces. Mayo is always on the side (in packets). They definitely do fill it with meat, which i appreciate, but it is still very plain! Service is good. I doubt they would survive very long if they were not in the middle of a business district. Not worth the price for sure.

The food costs a bit more than I would have expected, but tastes absolutely incredible and everyone there is incredibly friendly! Probably one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. Its definitely worth the extra few dollars for the awesome food and service. I would highly recommend this place -- you really cant go wrong with trying it. They also have an incredibly large selection of sandwiches and foods, as well as beverages. So its not hard to find something you like!

Been going to Posh Nosh since its inception as our meeting place after school in the late 60s. Nothing has changed, including the furnishings! Food is just as great now as it was when I was in high school. My favorite is the Claytonian with slaw on the side & a cream soda. Posh Nosh is a GEM in Clayton.

I did not know restaurants sold meat this tough. I ordered the Bison Reuben. I have eaten Bison many times and know it is a lean meat. I could not bite through the sandwich. Also, 3 thin slices seems a little on the light side. Glad this was a Groupon and not a full price lunch.

I went to the Posh for lunch and it was incredible. I loved it!!!! Has a great old school charm to it. Had a Claytonian sandwich which had corned beef, pastrami, creamy slaw, swiss and a dressing on it and it was to die for. No more looking for a authentic deli in St. Louis!!!!!

Great place if you like hair in your food. The first two bites were delicious. Then I found a long hair and a short hair. It sucks because the food is excellent but cant stomach eating there again. Maybe hair nets should be a rule.

Absolute best deli for sure. Their Reuben is the only Reuben worth eating. Some people complain about the price but it is completely worth it. My family and I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience.

Great place for sandwiches they have a huge selection and its a reasonably priced deli! The only thing that was missing was a dedicated espresso machine for a nice cappuccino or espresso, but i wont dock them a star for that!

One of the best lunches in town! Small shop with some seating available. Friendly staff and some of the best sandwiches around. Love the French dip! Prices are average for the area. Will definitely be back.

A touch pricey, but it is Clayton. The food is very good, though. I like their sandwiches; have had several. Eat in and get some pickles and bread. ;) I LOVE breakfast, and they have a great breakfast. :)

Great sandwhich "the poshest" and lovely service. I ate outside, on the terrace, as I had the dog with me. One staff member even offered to hold my dog while I paid inside. "

Ordered a hot pastrami with swiss. The sandwich met all of the requisites (pastrami piled high, rye bread) exceeding my rather high expectations. I would happily return.

Great place for a quick sandwich to eat for lunch. Try to get there before 12:30pm to beat the rush :)
