So I actually go to Holy Land on a regular basis for grocery shopping and for dining. Weekdays for lunch and weekends with my husband for dinner. I have always looked past the minor problems during orders where they either missed an entree, forgot to add the bread that was ordered etc. Today though, I spent about 80 bucks on food which I initially waited to get for an hour. Once I got the food and my husband confirmed with them whether everything was there, I checked in the car - ofcourse an entree was missing! We had to then wait again for another half hour to get the rest of our food meanwhile the remaining food got cold in the car (take out order). They did not even ask my husband out of courtesy whether they could do anything nor did they apologize for the inconvenience. The least they could have done was apologize. I am so taken back by this at this point that we dont even want to return there with the poor customer service!!!! Update: I spoke to the manager on duty and the Owners neice about our experience. I was told that my contact would be given to the office and they would contact us and everything will be taken care of. It has been two weeks now and I never received any calls from anybody. Horrible customer service!

I lived in Midtown global market for 2 years & this restaurant was on the ground level of my apt complex. I LOVE holyland, My favorite menu item is there Philly cheese steak with seasoned fries, They also give you thousand Island sauce with the fries which makes the meal so complete. I enjoy there burgers as well & they also offer alot of vegetarian options to. There menu is very large & theres many items to pick from but another one of my favorites & one of there signature items is there gyros. They also have a buffet in the morning/afternoon & attached is a grocery/deli. They have some of the BEST cream cheese & feta cheese Ive ever had & there meat section is very good & looks & tastes very fresh. There olive oil Is great as well & they have many breads & a huge verity of meditrain/international food. There prices are very good to. Some things are more expensive then others but you get a great deal for an overall value. They have a good drink selection to, You can get fountain coke products otherwise they have alot of different juices/water in there fridge & they have glass bottle coke as well. I would highly recommend this place if ur in the area or ur shopping at midtown. Great Taste for a great price :)

Good food and good prices. The service is pretty bad, though. They often forget you, forget items you ordered, or just act rude. Plus, the place can be down right filthy sometimes. Smells like blood from the butchers or poop from the bathrooms (they are particularly nasty, ish), and the tables are often sticky. Bring hand sanitizer since youll eat some of the food with your hands. The store attached is nice, lots of good ingredients for Mediterranean cooking at very good prices. Get a big jug of olive oil or a big bag of red lentils or bulgar and youll be happy. The only thing they could do would be to bake fresh bread. With so much good middle eastern food around the area that bakes bread, why isnt Holy Land baking it fresh for meals? Then, Id overlook the service and lack of sanitary conditions and give it five stars.

Grabbed some lunch at Holy Land in Minneapolis...The Mrs had the Chicken Lovers Combo (Chicken Kabobs, Chicken Gyro, Greek Chicken, Chicken Kufta Kabob)...I opted for the Arabic Shawirma Lovers Combo (Chicken, Beef&Lamb). Very tasty, great seasoning and sauces for dipping. The Basmati rice is very good in its own right and a piece of Honey Cake was brought out for each of us with our meals. Everything was just right on the spice levels and the staff were very pleasant. Great sized portions for the price. Free parking out behind the restaurant and you wander though the grocery area before reaching the restaurant area. Straight ahead is where youll find the menus and register where youll place your order and pay...they give you a number to place on your table. They bring your food to you and bus the tables when you are done.

Holy land has some really good gyros and a WIDE variety of other foods. When I eat here for lunch I get the "managers special" which is like a DIY gyro plate. Its a lot of food. The prices have gone way up since the remodel, so we dont eat there nearly as often. When my kids were younger we ate there all the time as they had a "kids gyro and fries" for $5.99, I think, and it was plenty. That is now gone replaced by burgers, hot dogs, and chicken fingers on the kids menu. Not exactly the fare we are there for. So now if my kids want a gyro, we have to go somewhere else. If 4 people are eating gyros, even for lunch, youll top $50 and then some. Its too bad. Ill definitely eat here again, as the managers special is/was about $10 and was a lot of food. And the food is really good.

The crew was not helpful at all. Once I asked a guy there for help, I had hard time to attract his attention, eventhough i was close to him, apparently he was too busy working on the shelves and customer support is not what he likes. I insisted, when i get his attention and asked my question, this guy switched to another costumer and forget to get back to me with an answer. The cashier made me pay for another customer with my debit card, she noticed that I swept my card twice by mistake, yet, she validated the second sweep to another costumer. Now I dont like this store :( and go there only if I need something not availalble elsewhere. I also think that some stuff are expensive. Yeah and some stuff dont know English :D and cant help at all.

I love this place. After traveling around for a while, and landing back in Minneapolis, I didnt know if Id ever find a slice of the culture I had left behind. Not only do these guys have excellent produce and grocery selections, but their service is amazing. They never fail to offer help, samples, advice, etc. with a smile. There is just something so open and friendly about the people that work here. Ive actually been a pretty frequent customer for a couple of years, but just the other day was there and someone offered some advice about the turkish cheese. As it turns out, it was the owner of the store - just there to interact with his customers and try to offer a positive experience. What an awesome, genuine store!
