Its was the worst Chinese food I have ever experience! Better yet I dont believe it should be called Chinese. Very avid Asian food maniac. Feast on it at least once a week. So I have had my fair share of Chinese food. This was just flat out poor. Order: General Tso Chicken - NOT breaded slimey chicken with a very light sauce that had a small amount of flavor and pieces of hard broccoli Very tender chicken, It seemed as if I received a Hunan type of chicken. Again, unbreaded. Veggie Fried Rice - dry rice with hard uncooked frozen peas. Bland Chicken Lo Mien - noodles were delicious not worth going back though If you do decide to go DO NOT order the General Tso Chicken.

I love 1st Wok. I cant say Ive ordered much other than their fried rice, but their Fried Rice is the best Ive ever found - the chicken in the chicken fried rice is real white meat and they have veggies in their chicken fried rice. The Veggie fried rice is FULL of veggies. Ive ordered maybe one or two other veggie dishes and theyve always been delicious. The only downfall is the price, it can get kind of spendy - like $4 for 4 cream chz wontons - what? Otherwise, I have never found better fried rice - oh, and their eggrolls are really good too.

I discovered 1st Woks hot and sour soup several months ago and like it a lot, so I have picked up a take out carton a number of times. Yesterday, I felt like eating out, and so tried an egg roll and the orange beef. The egg roll was a wad of wrapped cabbage and the beef was in 3 inch chunks, breaded and fried. I took several bites and ran into too much gristle. The soup broth was good, but they must have run out of ingredients, because it was filled with dropped eggs. I shall never return.

I really like 1st Wok. While it is not authentic like Grand Szechuan its a solid choice for east coat style Americanized Chinese food. The fact they bring out fried wonton "chips" takes me right back to NY! Their egg rolls are the best in MN. I can also recommend the chow fun -wide noodles cooked soft in a simple dry prep that is just right. Most MN places make this dish with too much sauce. Ok, you get it. Check this place out some time.

Our whole family loves 1st Wok. Its the only place we have found where we all like TOFU! Were not tofu types, but their "crispy Hunan bean curd" is yum yum yummy. And the broccoli in it is usually cooked so its still firm and green... and the sauce... Sooo good! They have all white meat sesame chicken now too, and it is great!

Highly recommend the shrimp Hunan. I was so surprised. A hankering for Chinese turned into a real treat. Terrific flavor. A full meal for $8. Fresh vegies, great sauce, fresh rice. Just dont go to the rest rooms unless someone can hear you knocking. Its in a common hallway and you could get locked out of the restaurant!

Have always enjoyed the food here, but the two women that have worked here for years have always been rude, its a huge turn off. Must be an Asian thing, because this seems to always happen to me at these types of restaurants. Some people need to grow up, and realize, theyre the foreigners, not us.

meh... I got the General Tsos Chicken, it was ok. The vegetables were a nice touch but the flavor was off and it only came with white rice. Not to mention it was very expensive ~$12. Id say save some cash and go to Fresh Wok on Nicollet

Kung Pao chicken was breaded, which I did not know about, and not spicy at all. I mean, NOT SPICY AT ALL. I will drive further from home for better food from now on.

Love, love, love this place. We moved away years ago, but still go out of our way for "Meat, Meat Delight" and "Green Bean Special" whenever we are in The Cities.

This morning I rolled out of bed around 1:30 PM today and took a monster dump. Said dump looked far more appetizing than the food at 1st Wok. The Wok is garbage
