awesome food. I have been here many times as I work close by. I have to say that the portions are huge and the food is great. This is a small business and at times I can see that. I have had mix ups on my sandwiches, but the people that run this place and make the food are human, and do make mistakes. I have spoken with the employees and the owner at times, and they always seem to be truly interested in hearing honest opinions. The Tractor sandwich is really good, not too spicy Andoulie on it. the conveyor belt is HUGE, the turkey and pastrami sandwiches are juicy, moist and tasty as well. I did try their pulled chicken sandwich which was good, even though it had issues. the meat was really dry in parts, but others were juicy and tender. I know this can happen to any meat being cooked, so I will be trying it again. I do not normally eat french fries, but the ones they have here are AMAZING and the sauce is incredible that comes with them. I look forward to keep trying new items, but it is definitely worth a stop as you will be treated to delicious huge portions of real food, notthe processed crap at all the other sub shops.

** 1/18/2017 Update ** During a recent visit to Fat Chance I was happy to find out they had addressed a few issues I listed in my review. They now have a soda fountain featuring Minnesoda beverages, which were pretty good. Theres also a xylophone style instrument at the register that could be used as a bell. *Photo notes: Conveyor Belt (Half - $7), add $4 for Fries and pop (not pictured) **** Original Review - Dec 2016 **** Big portions and the food is pretty decent. A couple of issues Ive seen from my last few visits. Theres no bell/tone, or anything on the entrance to indicate someones entered Fat Chance. Ive witnessed customers standing at the counter for several minutes before even seeing an employee. Order entry is extremely slow.. I dont know if its the menu options, or the employee, or a combination. Lastly they havent had a soda fountain for several weeks now.. charging $2.00 for a can of soda is silly. Get the fountain fixed, or give your customers a break on the can prices please.

Just found out about this place and so glad we did! So far weve now tried the ribs, chicken strips, french fries, mac n cheese, red beans n rice, and my favorite - the Tractor sandwich (pulled pork + andouille sausage + cole slaw). We brought home some cake but Im way too stuffed to try it although the chalkboard inside described it as lifechanging and I have no reason to doubt it will be. VERY generous servings - we ended up with way too much food and will extend our lunch into dinner as a result. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Everything was spectacular and well be coming back for sure.

***EDIT: Expect a wait when visiting Fat Chance. Ive been there just under 10 times and its usually 20-30 mins, so if you have a short lunch break, thats not the time to visit. Go when you have 1-1.5 hours free (youll need a decent amount of time to eat the MASSIVE portions they provide! Well worth the wait. Gotta love this place! Big portions, reasonable prices, and amazing subs! The French fries are a must, they are very delicious and perfectly seasoned; and whatever dip they give you (sriracha mayo ) ties it all together. The owners and staff are always friendly.

This is exactly what Brooklyn Park needs...a restaurant with great tasting food and at a great price. Ive been here a handful of times and Ill keep coming back! Theres so much to try, and so far its all amazing! Dont let the name fool you, this is more than a sandwich shop. The best part is the comfort food on the weekends! Catfish, smothered chicken, ribs, cornbread, sweet potatoes...you cant even finish it all in one sitting they give you so much. Definitely a must try!

I happened to stop here because it was next to where I was shopping and I honestly thought that I was going to get another average sandwich. I got my sandwich to go and it was absolutely fantastic. The ingredients werent just your standard cold cuts and pre sliced veggies but freshly prepared and made in store. The sandwich I had was one of the best Ive ever had. The staff was also very friendly! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Dont let the "good" reviews fool you. Tried the place today and it is not what they say it is! The catfish tastes like it was fried in old oil, it had no seasoning and didnt taste like fresh catfish. The sides were very bland and the Mac n cheese was just Mac no cheese. It was NOT soul food Mac n cheese at all. The wings were okay, we tried the fried pickles for the 1st time and didnt like the them. We wont try this place again.

My wife: "BEST BUFFALO SANDWICH EVER!" - uh, yeah, these guys are the real deal. Fantastic sandwiches located in a small strip mall, but dont let the location or restaurant fool you. Sandwiches are FANTASTIC! LARGE! Definitely recommend a visit, but bring an appetite! Food is made to order so you will have to wait a bit. But we will be back! Seems to be owned by a family so service is very friendly.

I discovered this business today and I cant believe what Ive been missing. For starters they have quality subs and they serve an amazing carmel cake that will leave your mouth watering for more. I really dont like to over exaggerate things but they really deserve a pat on their back. From the many options on the menu to the great decor inside. Its in all around a great environment in a great area!!

This place is awesome. Not only are the food portions huge, they taste amazing. There is a lot of variety, making it a great group stop. 8 of us ordered and hot, delicious food was starting to come to the table within 5 minutes. The fries are fantastic and the dipping sauce is killer. I highly recommend this establishment and will be back.

The food was pretty good. Generous portions, fairly tasty. Slow as molasses service. I ordered and then stood around for a half hour waiting for my sandwich. I ordered it hot on the suggestion of the guy running the register, it was barely warm when I got it. Might given them another try when they get a bigger crew and a better work flow.

This place is absolutely phenomenal....thebfood was so good I left my wallet in the seat....and the humble and nice heart of the owner. He found my wallet drove to my house, I wasnt there and then he looked me up on Facebook and eventually we connected and he got my wallet to me. This is such a great place with an inspirational staff

Ordered 1 sandwich and fried pickles. Asked and paid for bacon to be added to the sandwich. Took 30 minutes to get my food. There was no bacon. Everything was luke warm. Very disappointing. Good name for the restaurant as there is a FAT CHANCE I would eat here again. Such a shame, because it could be really good if done right.

Customer service is good, food is also good. My 1st visit yesterday was a take out order for my family. They enjoyed it so we all are going to dine in next time. I heard about this food place from My son. He and his family thoroughly enjoyed their food as well. This is our new go to spot.
