Last night my family met at The White Lake Inn to enjoy a night out together and celebrate some birthdays. The staff was VERY nice but unfortunately the service was VERY poor. We arrived at 7 and were seated around 8 which is somewhat reasonable given our large party. 24 people is A LOT! Shortsightedly they provided us only one waitress when two would have been better. They pushed a few picnic tables together outside but there still wasnt enough room for all of us and three were left standing. For quite a while they refused to bring us an add-on table which seemed silly! Eventually they did and we were comfortable. The bar functions well and the drinks were flowing, but the kitchen not so much. First off they were out of quite a few menu choices including fish and chips. My husband was forced to get his third choice!! Next we ordered at around 8: 15 and the food didnt arrive till after dark. The pizza others had ordered was good but my hamburger was terrible. Several of the plates were miss prepared but most sucked it up because they had been ready to leave an hour already. I want to stress that everyone was very nice and for the most part very accommodating... For example they kept ice cream and a birthday cake in their freezer for us and provided us with paper plates and utensils....But it would seem the capabilities of the restaurant simply dont meet the demand.

Food is always good/great but the service has always been poor and continues to get worse with our last 3 trips over the past 3 weeks nearly the deal closer. If its not a 15 to 20 minute wait before your server makes her 1st visit its the 30 minutes in between subsequent visits that make matters worse. We were on the deck last night and it was FULL and at one point sat there for 20 minutes.... yes a whole 20 minutes before we saw a single waitress make a single visit to any of the patrons. Hell.... We saw the dang dishwasher / bus boy twice as much as we did any of the 2 or 3 girls that were supposed to be working the deck. Where we did see them all was sitting in their duffs in own little circle at the table by front door/kitchen gabbing away and not doing their jobs. Took me 3 years to get my wife to finally go in for dinner drinks wither on the lake or just driving by and over the past 2 years the service has grown worse and worse to (like our growing infrequent visits) almost non existent. Lucky if we go in once a month now and have even discussed driving alllllll the way down to Bayside instead.

Food is mediocre at best. We arrived at 7:00 pm. Placed food order at 7:15 pm. Still waiting. 8:40 pm now. Is pizza that hard. Moderately busy. Waitresses are more concerned about pushing drinks then serving customers. Do yourself a favor and go else where. Our non responsive waitress Jackie F, was kind enough to comp our beverage portion of the tab. Thanks for a couple of watered down Cokes. Yay. She only apologized for the poor service after I made it known that the service was worthless. I seriously hope someone buys this place and try to fix the service and food end. At this time I would only suggested going there for drinks and paying straight to the bartender.

Probably some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Service however, stinks. Our waitress at one point disappeared for 30-minutes, our drinks gone. I finally had to fetch a manager and on the way into find one, saw her sitting at a table chatting. The manager, a youngster who looked about 21, took some money off our bill, but a good manager would have checked back with us. He didn’t. More training seems needed since our waitress did not only not know the beers they had but had no clue of the drinks either. Wow. Do they receive any training? This is a nice spot on a summer’s day. Good pizza, but the service can vary wildly and management seems to be so so.

In past years the service at the While Lake Inn has been quick and the food was good for bar food. This year (2012) has seen much slower kitchen service and the food quality is not nearly as good. For take out orders weve been told there are two hours waiting. For dining in service during non-busy times weve waiting an hour between ordering and getting the food. The food quality is also down this year. Food weve ordered and eaten in the past is just not prepared as well this year.

OK so this is your local good Old neighbor bar on the lake. Locals love its down to earth cheap beer atmosphere ......those who travel for a nice dining experience on the lake looking for a high end cuisine will be disappointed. This is a local bar with cheep beer and descent bar food. On the weekends good bands of diverse variety play......although the music really is a bit to loud...but hey ITS A BAR. Fun to go and relax and not worry about stuff for a little while!

Terrible! Could not take a reservation for 12 people. The manager did not know how to figure it out! No air conditioning...I would expect that in Alaska, not here. Empty tables, that were saved for a band that did not start for another 2 hours...we said forget it and went somewhere else. It is too bad because we had people that heard of it and now none of us will ever go back. And according to these reviews no thanks! Lots of great restaurants in the area.

Service is extremely slooooow, the small Greek salad was very disappointing for $7.99, lettuce was wilted, the portion size???? The dinner salads were bigger than this. Took 1.5 hours from sit down time to get food. If I could rate zero stars I would. The hard part of this review is because Paul is a great person, who is one of my brothers best friends. I hope they can rectify the problems. At this point I will not be back.

I arrived at this establishment at the time of 6:00, now let me inform you im writing this review at the time of 8:15. I have yet to be seated, I believe its because the staff is about as smart as my testicles. Although this one waitress keeps smiling at me...shes a heffer with a mole; ill bang her anyways though. The only good thing about this place is looking at all the ugly stupid people...it makes me feel superior.

this is one of the liveliest places in the area for dancing to a band on Fridays and Saturdays. I would recommend this tavern to all ages 21-71 as a friendly place to dance inside, eat outside on the deck and look over the water. The only reason that I am not giving 5 stars is that on other days of the week you are likely to find yourself staring at the wall. The food is above par and reasonably priced.

This used to be my favorite place, sadly the service has always been horrible but we kept coming back for the lake view. Tonight we waited an HOUR for a pizza aa we sat there hungry watching other tables get served even though they came in 20 min after us and our server never once came to apologize for the wait until we asked her where our food was. This was the last time we will be going there.
