I understand that its back to school season, but this place was extremely busy. Check-out lines stretched back into the aisles, and we only needed a few small things. We happend to be in line near an employees family member who informed us there was some internal issues that caused them to be understaffed, and unable to open all the registers. Im also told sometimes a manager will go along giving out free cookies to make the experience better, but I cant help but wonder if that manager would have been better served working at opening another register. We were not personally part of the cookie experience. Back-to-school and holiday seasons are retailers busiest seasons, and lack of preparation in staffing is unacceptable for a business like meijer. It indicated poor management, if not at the local level, than certainty at a district or corporate level. Sorry Meijer in Utica, this review is two stars because of the check-out experience. I found your parking lot difficult to navigate as well regarding how to navigate my way to head northbound out of your east exist. Ended up headed south back to hall road.

I wanted to write a special review here about one of the deli clerks. My husband and I do our regular grocery shopping here & we always stop by the deli as I like to pack my kids lunch with different sandwiches or roll ups for school. Today, I was having a bit of a rough day, and I knew that we were running low on deli meat, so I decided to wait in the line despite how I was feeling. Larry served me today! Ive actually had him serve me a few time as we visit frequently. I just want to say, he always does a remarkable job slicing my meat! Im a little bit particular and he is always so patient with my requests, and he even reccamends to me some other meats & cheeses and offers samples to me on a regular. I never feel like Im just a number, I always feel like a valued customer with him. This is the type of service my husband and I look for & its why we keep coming back! Im actually to the point that I request him by name every time I come for my meat now. Thank you for always doing a great job, Larry! I hope the rest of the crew can learn by your example, because they rarely get my order correct. You rock!

Only one way to enter the store right now, which isnt convenient at all! I get that theyre remodeling but when you park in certain spots, on both sides of the store, and then find out you have to walk a far distance just to get into the store, which for some reason they decide to put in the middle of the store during reconstruction, thats wrong! And the way theyre doing the remodeling is horrible!!! Before, there were 2 entrances into the store; now theres only 1! Before, the entrances were on both sides of the store, and parking wasnt bad because the spots were by them. Now it just sucks! And for some reason they decide to move the groceries all over into new places. Plus, I saw 1, just 1, person walking around asking people if they need help finding things! I will no longer be shopping here again! I will now go back to shopping at the Meijer in Rochester Hills! I would rather drive 6.2 miles to go to the Rochester location, instead of only having to drive 1.2 miles to the location on Hall Road! I am more than willing to drive out of the way!!!

Horrible unprofessional customer service. Went through self checkout, asked about an item that was marked with a sale sticker but rang up original price. The "supervisor" then informed me that it wasnt on sale, and peeled the sale stickers off the tag right in front of me and handed it back to me. I asked for the corporate number and she sent over her general manager. The general manager told me customer service desk has Corp number. I follow her to the service desk and instead of helping me get the number she ignored me and began reprimanding another employee about why she had accepted a vacuum return without it being in a box. As a male employee got me the information I needed, a female employee next to him asked what had happened. I showed her the purse I had bought and explained what had happened. She then told me some people "put sale stickers in non-sale items" and it "ruins it for everyone." As if I hadnt still purchased the purse anyways and was just trying to scam Meijer. Unbelievable and unprofessional.

Well there is never enough lines open. So there is only ONE line open when I went there with my sweet little grandma. Two people in front of me had heaping baskets. We politely asked someone to open another line, then someone told us to ask someone else, (Donna H) so we asked her nicely to open another line please. After 10 minutes, she finally called someone..then she told the man in front of us (who had a heaping cart, meanwhile we had a handful of items) that she would take him next. He insisted that Donna takes us instead. Donna H had an extremely bad attitude when she announced that "Oh NO I cant thats against OUR policy." Which is untrue, I have let people go in front of me many times. She said it with an attitude- TO MY GRANDMOTHER!! How disrespectful! So mean!

Alright, so the redid this whole place. I dont like how everything is so far apart now, it makes getting in and out quickly really hard. The also got rid of the self scan. So even in the middle of the night you have to deal with a person, that is not why I go at night. But, the pharmacy is very good. If you download good rx, meijer is always the cheapest, even cheaper then most insurances. Ive work in pharmacy so I can tell you that their generics arent always the best ones, but the will order your brand and give you it at their discount price with that app. The run things smoothly, except the drive through, which every pharmacy has a problem with. All and all its close by so I go there, and its well stocked. I just dont like going there as much anymore.

I was extremely disappointed with my most recent trip to this store. My trip was fine until I went to check out. I used a self check out as all the regular check outs where backed up with people that had over flowing carts of items. I spent 20 minutes in line waiting for a lane to become open. There was an argument between the two people of me with yelling and swearing. Which that cashier did nothing about. All she did was stand there and stare at them as it happened. There her attitude with the person that was in front of me because an item didnt scan right. It took me longer in line than it did to do my actual shopping and check myself out. You are better off going to Kroger or Walmart. It will be a while before I even think about returning to this store.

First of all,isles are confusing, people running in to each other down the split isles. 3 different signs for each isle, with different groceries on each sign?REALLY? cant put 3 signs up with ALL of what you have in each isle,I ran back&forth trying to find what I needed, Pharmacy too far away from medicinal needs, but the #1 compliant! ONLY 4 REGISTERS OPEN ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON! COME ON! Each one of us were complaining to each other about this, but its nothing new, day before Thanksgiving, 10 plus people in line and 3 REGISTERS OPEN, are you kidding me! Love Meijer, and I live very close to Hall&Hayes, but Im going back to 15&Utica,or I will go to KROGER, EVERY REGISTER IS OPEN.This new remodel was NOT !!!!!!!!! Thought out well AT ALL!
