I tried Estia for the first time yesterday because Id read so many good reviews and its close to my place of work and I could order online (great for a get-and-go type lunch). I ordered a customized wood fired pork gyro (on their freshly made white pita bread) and a small Greek fry (which comes with spices, olive oil and feta cheese on them). When I got to the restaurant, my food was ready and so the cashier confirmed my order via the attached pick-up slip and I was able to quickly pay and be on my way back to the office. However, when I got to the office and pulled out the food the fries were not Greek fries but normal fries. I called Estia to see if I could get a credit for my next visit but to my utter surprise, the manager asked for my address and said he would deliver the correct fries to me! That blew me away and told me how important customer service is to them. When the corrected fries arrived, I was told that not only did the manager include the fries Id ordered, but he had up-sized them to a large AND had provided me with dessert. Wow. Just absolute wowness. I have NEVER had a restaurant go that far out of their way to make sure a customer is happy and they won me over. (Note: the gyro was very tasty as were the regular fries, the Greek fries and the one of the TWO desserts he gave me - a custard inside phyllo dough and no, I was not able to eat all of it at once and still have yet to finish the fries and other dessert!) I will definitely be going back.

I just finished my carryout meal from Estia Greek Street Food so I thought I would post a review while its fresh in my mind. I dont consider myself a tough critic. As a matter of fact, I usually try to give benefit of doubt when possible. However, based on all the glowing reviews, I must admit my disappointment with this experience. My order consisted of an original gyro (pork, as per their menu) and a side Greek salad. Bread was good. Toppings seemed fresh. I liked the yogurt sauce well enough. But the pork was overcooked to the point of almost jerky-like. Now for the salad: apparently fresh ingredients here too. But they build it to order and all the ingredients are wet. Luckily, I got the dressing on the side so when I got home I drained the salad as dry as I could. Dressing was delicious though! Hope they go through these reviews occasionally. Im just trying to help...

Salad is FRESH and FLAVORFUL! Like a homemade salad made from backyard veggies. Yum! House dressing is deeeliiishhh. Fries were UNDERPRICED for how great they were. They are a MUST! I love that they had malt vinegar for them, too. You dont see that often. Ill definitely be back and will recommend. Update: Ive been back at least once a week, sometimes twice! Im now ADDICTED to their bowls and Greek fries. This place is always packed for lunch, but the line moves quick and the staff is super attentive and friendly. Do yourself a favor and experience the wonder that is Estia Greek Street Food. :P

Love that they make the pita bread fresh right in front of you. Good, fresh ingredients for wraps and salads. Prices are decent. Only complaint is that it is very hard to hear the workers behind the glass and they have a hard time hearing the customers as well, so the orders are not always prepared accurately. The customer ahead of me had his wrap made wrong and mine was not exactly what I wanted either but I didnt feel like shouting over the glass. Overall, however, a good lunch spot in Troy.

These guys catered my daughters graduation party, and outside of her (my daughter), the food was the star of the event!! Everyone loved the fact we had something different; as we had a gyro bar, as opposed to just subs or burgers. We received constant compliments from friends and family how great the food was, from the chicken to the lamb and beef and the pitas and rice, all was wonderful. Thank you to everyone at Estia for helping me make my daughters party such a success!!

Regular stop for Greek salad - at least once per week. Portions are VERY generous and food is fresh and of very high quality. My new favorite. Follow-up - After nearly a year of going here staff is super friendly, portions are still generous and the food is always super-fresh. Still my favorite Greek Salad.

Great food, cool atmosphere, and the owner works there to look out for you. Estia Greek Street Food is a solid lunch work spot and makes for a good, quick dinner bite. The staff are friendly and the owner is there to lookout for his associates so theyll look out for you. Try Estia, you wont go wrong.

Great Greek food. This follows in the tradition of pick a meat, pick a delivery vehicle and pick the stuff inside and it is delicious. The pita bread is cooked fresh, the lamb is not greasy or dry. Spinach pies and lentil soup is an added bonus. It is also a good deal.

I absolutely love coming here. Being Greek and having been to Greece this is about as good as it gets when it comes to authentic Greek food. Its always delicious and the people behind the counter are always in a good mood and helpful!! That spicy feta is to die for!

I have been here a few times and love this place! The pita bread is cooked fresh in front of you. The greek fries are original! And the owner is a really nice guy. I have started going to the DMC downtown location as well as I work there!

I really like this place. You can customize your bowl or wrap with just the ingredients you want. They need a better POS system as they have had problems with it the last 2 times I went, but otherwise I have no complaints.

I had a traditional gyro and the employee suggested some toppings which I normally wouldnt have picked, but made it amazing. I think its a great value for how much amazing food you get. Ill definitely be back and often.

I love this place! Food is beyond delicious, the decor is modern and prices are very reasonable. The owner is very personable and accommodating. My family comes here about once a week for the freshly made pita wraps.

Yesterday was my first time there just because I was around town and saw they have excellent rating. So I custom made my gyro to my liking and have to say de-licious; Man man was that the best gyro Ive ever had.

The staff is amazing and so is the food. I went in on New Years eve and thought they were closed, they still let us in. The food was phenomenal. I wish there was more of these around! I will definitely be back!
