I dont live in the area. A good friend of mine invited us to see the Downriver cruise so we went to see all the classic/restored cars. Around 7:30 we decided to get some dinner. There were 14 of us. My buddy and his 3 daughters, my friend who invited us down and his wife, my wife and my 2 sons 8yrs old and 4 yrs old. We were welcomed with smiles and we sat down. The waitress came to get our order and asked us what we all wanted. My buddy and his 3 daughters ordered a large pizza, my downriver friend and his wife ordered a steak n cheese sub and lasagna. My wife and I ordered a steak n cheese sub as well as a small peperoni and cheese pizza for my boys. We waited about an hour and my buddy and his daughters finally got their large peperoni and cheese pizza. Another 10 minutes went by and my downriver friend who recommended the place went to the counter to see why we hadnt gotten our food yet even though we all ordered at the same time. He came back and sat down and they brought out his steak n cheese sub, the lasagna and the steak n cheese sub for my wife and I. My wife asked where is the small pizza we got for the kids. Mind you... we had already waited an hour and our boys were extremely hungry. On top of that the steak n cheese sandwich we got had clearly been made for a while and had been sitting there cause the sub was cold and the cheese had solidified and was no longer melted. I waited another 10 min and nothing and everyone who had come after us had already gotten their food so I called the waitress and asked for the manager. She said she would get the manager and assured us that the problem was "not her fault" meaning she put the order in correctly. another 10 min went by and the manager didnt come and I could see them all standing there laughing and joking around like nothing was wrong. I finally got up and walked over to the front desk and asked for the manager. I waited and finally she came up. I told her the service is ridiculous and that I do not want to pay and I want to leave. She apologized and told me that it would be another 10 min on the small pizza and that she would take the pizza off the bill but that we would have to pay for the rest of our food. I said I didnt even eat it and that it just got to us after waiting over an hour. She said that if we didnt pay she would call the police. I said go ahead. She didnt call of course and said she would comp us the pizza and nothing else. At that point I was livid and said fine and I just wanted to get out of there. As I walked back to my table I promised them I would write a review and so here it is. I came back, sat down, and another 10 min went by and we finally got our pizza. If this is the kind of service you want, please feel free to go there and eat. I never write reviews, but I felt the need to warn everyone about their customer service. If you are the store owner, fire the manager cause you are going to end up running your business into the ground. If you are the waitress and this wasnt your fault, Do yourself a favor and find a better place to work for. I normally tip 20% or more but left you ZERO because it was "not your fault" There are plenty of places that cook great pizza and are more deserving of your business than this place.

Ive grown up with this place being from the downriver area my family and I would eat here often and the service was always great and wed never had a problem before. Fast forward to today, Im an adult now and I wanted to show my Future Husband what a great place this was. I moved over 2000 miles away and was coming back for a visit to see some family and eat some of the food Id been missing. Id spent so long on the flight over telling my fiance how awesome the food was here, especially the salads. When we finally get to Romas and have a seat Im expecting everything to go perfectly. Little did I know that they are under new management thats somehow screwed everything sideways. Im not sure why people still eat here and my only conclusion is they must not know. Their $10 dinner salads that used to feed 4-5 people now barely feed 2. Though theyve become less stingy with their dressing which I suppose is a plus, the only plus. Shrugging this off as a change in the economy, we proceeded to order a pizza and a pitcher of beer to go with dinner. When they finally brought our beer it was FLAT, as in... flavored beer-water flat. We sent it back and just ordered some water, trying not to let it ruin the meal. After getting full of pizza and salad and packing up our leftovers, we headed up to check out. Only to find that they STILL charged us for the pitcher of beer. After asking the lady at the register she only said that the beer wasnt flat and wed still have to pay for it. This was AFTER they had taken the pitcher back with NO INDICATION that we would still have to pay for it. I told her that I thought it was bad customer service to take the pitcher back without letting us know that we would still be charged, and that we would have kept it otherwise. Her response was "I cant comp it because there are cameras watching us". She also did not have a name tag on and refused to tell me her name or give me her managers contact information. This place has gone WAY down hill and I wont be eating here anymore.

I have been to Romas a few times now and unfortunately, they mess my order up most of the time. I have been a vegetarian for many, many years and always ask for marinara sauce on my spaghetti. For some reason, they do not understand that marinara sauce means that you do not want meat in it. Almost every time I have to stress that I do not eat meat and do not want it in my sauce. This last time my family went, all of us ordered marinara sauce in our pasta dish. And all 3 of us got meat sauce. The waitress tried to tell me that is was not meat, but was instead potato and carrot in the sauce. I know for a fact that is was ground up meat because I could see the pieces in it. Another time I order bell pepper on my pizza and got pepperoni instead. So I had to send it back and got cheese garlic bread instead because I did not have time to wait again for my food to cook. I was very disappointed. I will not be going there again, ever. I have discovered that they do not even make a marinara sauce, but will use pizza sauce instead. Not sure why the waitress couldnt tell me that to save me a lot of trouble.
