This place is awesome, literally the best food at any drinking establishment. I absolutely love their burgers and Ive been the Sunday Funday Otooles guy for the last 12 years... This places food is head and shoulders above the rest, plus their bloody mary bar had meat, cheese, fresh made mixer, and bacon... Are you kidding me.... BACON!! Found out their hamburger is purchased daily, so everything is fresh every single day. They also come in early and make homemade fries every morning. Best fries in the city as well. Between 3 and 6 Monday thru Friday you can get the garage fries which are amazing for 3 bucks!! They dont have a happy hour because they have a $2 draft, $3 wells, and $4 wine everyday and all day. Owner Kevin is there a lot and will say hi to everyone. My Dad even liked him and that is tough to do, he doesnt even like me! Love this place, I even have mug club glass around the corner and would prefer this place 10 fold because of the staff, food, stiffer drinks, and atmosphere.. A+++

Food. The food was really good. The chicken strips are awesome (not those frozen ones that come in a bag). But cut chicken breast hand dipped in batter. Macn cheese was a pleasant surprise. Burgers were delicious too. Fries to me were a little too salty but i just wiped it off and ate em. Service. Service was really good (it wasnt really busy either). The waitress wasnt overzealous and constantly bugging you but wasnt too slow either. Atmosphere The tables were large as were the chairs so no crowding into tight spots. Garage door was open so it let a nice breeze in. Overall very cumfy and easy to relax.

I was a huge fan of Teasers, it was the first bar I felt comfortable in when i moved to tow, and I grew to know the owner pretty well. When he told he was selling I was sad, no doubt, but having been a pretty frequent customer since moving, even after the ownership and Name change, I can honestly say that I think I like it better now. Teazers was great, but The Garage takes everything that was good and amplified it, while also improving the menu and expanding the demographic of the patrons. Not to mention they make one of the best Cubans Ive had in the city.

A great unique spot to check out. Open air dining on one side and even a small outdoor sitting area. Very unique menu items including brisket tacos! They even have a coin dozer machine! Clean and comfortable atmosphere. They have a extra large booth with a private TV for you to bring the family. Very good drink prices and friendly staff. Wednesday evening they close down the street for a party. $1 tacos.

Cool new restaurant on the North side of Grand Rapids. Chicken Tender Basket is amazing and the pulled pork sandwhich was very good as well. Somewhat limited drink menu, but had just enough craft brew selections to have something for everyone. Definitely would go back. Ratings 1-5: Food: 4 Atmosphere: 3.5 Service: 4 Prices: Meals are $7-12. Beers around $5 if I remember correctly. Soda drinks around $3.

As a bar, any bar that serves PBR gets high marks. But as a bar that serves food, its absolutely unexpected. Everything they make tastes great. And I discovered that they make everything fresh. In fact, I sneaked a peak in the kitchen to see them cutting fresh potatoes for their fries and hand dipping chicken for their chicken tenders. For a foodie that likes PBR, Garage Bar rocks!

If you are a vet, come armed... There are plenty of creeps who target this bar for its location (away from town) and its gathering of Veterans on the weekends. The food is good and the draft selection is okay, but be weary about taking pride in your service to your country -- you might just find your tires slashed!

Came here once to check something new and a place to watch the red wings..... Feel like I never left. The owner is awesome and the staff is amazing. So far I ate the brisket, chicken tenders, French dip, and the turkey club - every single one of them was amazing. If you dont go here you are missing out.

Love this place. Ive been here multiple times and they never disappoint. The brisket is my go to buy everything is pretty good to really good. The only issue I ever run into is cold fries. Which isnt too bad seeing as they are cut right from the potatoes and those are my favorite kind.

Great food and great service. Decor is fun with booth, high seat and regular tables for seating. Pool table and jukebox. Inexpensive drink prices and they regularly have live entertainment. Great place for happy hour or a night out.

Fun atmosphere, slightly dampened by the plastic label on the red pepper on my salad. Seems to be a favorite by many, who might not think much about where there food comes from. Me? - moving on.

Loved the atmosphere and the setup. Sat outside , where it was dog-friendly, and the owner even brought out some cold water and a slice of bacon for the little guy. Food was great too!

Really good food, friendly staff, and nicely themed garage bar. An awesome atmosphere for Michigan games. Servers keep up with very busy conditions. Great place for food and drink.

Cool dive bar, decent drinks. Food was good, although over priced in my opinion. Live music isnt bad, although expect to hear plenty of country if that fits your tastes.

The brisket sandwich here is fantastic, although I do have to dock it a point because the last time I ate here the brisket was very fatty and hard to eat.

Awesome little dive bar. The chicken strips are hand dipped. The only fries in town that are better are at Hop Cat. Great grand Rapids staple.

The hamburger and French fries are done right. A cold beer that wont break the bank,a red wine for my bride and a rock n roll band.
