Went to dinner tonight with my parents at 1911 Grill in Speedway (which we were excited to try) but it was absolutely horrible. All around. We sat down, waited 20 minutes to get anybody to even come to our table. Then an hour to get appetizers, and another 30 minutes until dinner came. We understand places get busy, so we didnt say anything. Then, after waiting an hour and a half, dads food wasnt right. As a business owner, he kindly talked to the manager so it could be used as a teaching moment moving forward. Just expressed his disappointment. When he talked to her, she didnt seem to care much. At all. The waitress was kind, but that manager was horrible. My dad has never requested something be taken off he bill, not his style. But after waiting that long, getting the wrong food, then the response of the manager, he didnt feel like he should have to pay for the food that he didnt/couldnt eat. The manager then made the waitress tell him shes not taking it off the bill. Dad told her to call the sheriff lol. He wasnt paying for it - and he shouldnt have had to. He did tip the waitress handsomely,and express that his frustrations werent with her. Anyway, Dont go folks. Overpriced and mediocre food, long waits, and bad management. Such a shame when youre excited to go to a fun new Speedway place and this happens. Now my dad is going home hungry after paying for everybody elses food and being here close to 2 hours. Just couldnt get over how poor the customer experience was.

I went to 1911 Grill after Monday practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Monday after Indy 500 qualifying). We were seated immediately on the upstairs level. The decor is nice and clean with some Indy 500 memorabilia in various places on the walls and big screen TVs in a couple of places. Also Sarahs helmets (the owner) are on display behind the bars (upstairs and downstairs) as well as some other Indy 500 driver helmets. The server was very nice and attentive to us when taking our orders and maintained a quality service through out our dinning experience. The food was of good quality and generous portions for the price. I was with an older husband and wife who each ordered the same cheese burger. They realized they couldve ordered one burger and shared it to give you some idea of the portions. They really enjoyed the taste so come hungry...lol. I had the Sirloin Steak with Mushroom Sauce and it was very tasty. They prepared it the way I like it and the price was very reasonable, $14.99 for a good sized cut (8 oz if I had to guess) with two sides. 1911 Grill is in association (in the same building) with Speedway Indoor Karting. There are windows to look down on the action. On Mondays the track is closed for maintenance so we didnt see any "racing" but its a great combination for families or a group of friends who want to have some racing fun and a good diner or drinks afterwards. Ill be back again and will give the Cheeseburger a try myself.

Local gal and former Indy Car Racer, Sarah Fisher owns this place. The outdoor area is top notch. Its covered with a fireplace and flat screen tv. The staff was attentive and we never had to wait for anything. Our group shared 3 appetizers (pork nacho, pretzel sticks with cheese and seafood dip) on Race day and they were great. It was a perfect place for a pit stop while traffic cleared out of the Speedway. I want to go back for dinner

Good service - nothing over the top, but the server was attentive and kept the drinks full. Food was on point - had a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese, pretty great considering I dont really like bacon (just got a wild hair and decided to order it, was not disappointed!) Cool atmosphere and good beer selection.

Pretty quiet little bar during the week. Right inside the indoor kart racing building. The owner, as our bartender said, used to race the Indy. Right next to bar they have a framed stamp collection of all the races, and another one with a mini photo of all the drivers and their vehicles! Appetizers were amazing!

We waited 20 minutes. A server never came to even take our drink order. As we were leaving we let the hostess know that we were never seen. They acted like we were idiots for not getting up and hunting down a server. They didnt offer any help and told us to have a good evening. Horrible horrible customer service.

When we got there, they told us there would be a 15 minute wait. After about a half an hour, we had to ask why we were not being seated (despite there being empty tables). We were told they werent seating anyone until the kitchen was able to catch up. It would have been nice if they had told us that up front.

Great place to chill out after some laps. Awesome vibe with great drinks and quick service. Food pricing was above average for what I would consider average quality food. I wouldnt make the trip specifically to go to 1911. If youre running at SIK its definitely a great add on place after a race.

Great for drinks but the food is over priced and horrible. The Brushetta had no taste. Pizza tasted like Tonys frozen pizza. The steak with mushroom sauce was half grizzle and the Pasta Terragon stuck together. Just about the worse food we have had at a restaurant.

This place its awesome me and my girls first time here..the atmosphere its great,the outdoor its really nice with heaters for the winter,food its great, service its great and I love that you can see the go kart section from the restaurant too..

Love coming to 1911, but prefer the upstairs bar. Just wish Shane was still upstairs at the bar. Not a fan of sitting in the restaurant. 5 stars if Shane was upstairs on weekends!! Food good, but Shane is BEST bartender in the place!!!
