The food was good but the portions were small for the high price you were paying for the meal. No breadbasket, salad or soup is included in your meal (dinner). For the price your paying I would think these should be included. Basically we left still feeling hungry and ended up getting ice cream on the way back. Also, had to wait a long time to get our food. We were told 2 big parties were ahead of us (party of 2). I would think that this wouldnt matter if the kitchen was properly trained to handle this, considering the location. The server did apologize for the long wait but you would think she would of offered a free appetizer or something. Also, notice the server giving a drink to the wrong table. Once the customer told her she didnt order the drink the server just took the drink off the wrong table and gave it to the correct table. I would think she should of went back and made a fresh drink and served it to the correct table. If they do this to drinks I wonder what happens if food is served to the wrong table! So watch what you order and where it goes. We will not be going back to this place.

Looked forward to a great meal here since we have visited before. Wait staff and food were fantastic but the general manager and kitchen staff was not. We chose to sit inside in front of a window. While waiting for our food, the manager came by and put the shade down, I commented that we chose the table for the sunshine and he told us it was nice outside as if we should have eaten outside instead if we wanted sunshine. We moved our drinks 3 tables down where he had not closed the shades. When we went outside to leave, there was grease from the kitchen splashed all over the side of our vehicle, from the nearby, not next to, grease dumpster. We wanted to stop in and say something to the general manager but given how he treated us before, we didnt waste our time. Its too bad since the staff and food has always been great and reasonably priced for a tourist town.

My party sat a long time at our table before being waited on. One burger was raw, not rare but raw. We sent the burger back and then they brought it back without any burger toppings and even after being asked for toppings still didnt get pickles. They even brought the burger back out on a separate plate because they said the original was too bloody. Both people in my party that ordered the fish tacos had every single taco fall apart right down the middle immediately. The tacos were cold as well. The grilled salmon on the taco was cold. The tap water tastes like iron as well. I understand thats the local water, but the menu prices at this place are high enough to warrant alternative water sourcing.

Awful, Very rude waitress, Had to ask if we were going to be waited on after sitting there for 20 minutes and they acted like we were out of line. After waiting 1 hour for my cold sandwich to be prepared it was served with a bags of jays chips rather than kettle chips as described on menu. Water taste like it was taken from the toilet. As I was sitting at my table I watched several tables walk out because food was taking so long and the waitress was so rude. Luckily there was another male waitress that seen the female waitress not acknowledged we existed and apologized and would constantly remind her that we were there. Do not go do not waste your money.

Went here with friends last week. Our waitperson Weston could have cared less about serving us and making sure that we were enjoying our meal. I asked about the blackened whitefish and wanted to know how spicy it was. He indicated that it had been prepped ahead of time and could not be changed. My friend did not want the the broccolini with her meal, but was not able to substitute. I did order the blackened whitefish, but it was not good at all. No chef worth anything in that part of Michigan should serve unappetizing whitefish! Do not order the blackened whitefish at WAG. It cost $25 and was not worth it at all.

Waitress 1/5 got us what we needed promptly but was cold in demeanor, and put a paler on a good time we were having to the point where our more reserved freinds felt rather awkward asking for nessesities. Then she was rude about splitting the check. THEN CHARGED 20% GRATUITY for bad service. food 4/5 tasted rather well, burger 4/5, fries 5/5, 16$ for burger and fries is a bit expensive, really milking that profit margin for fries for $3 w/hamburger. Hostest service 4/5 prompt decent personality. My wife talked to the manager and said she would talk to the waitress

Went here after leaving another nearby restaurant, after waiting over 40 minutes sitting at a table, without any service. Was immediately seated, but informed that they had been extremely busy earlier. I expected some wait, but was immediately serviced with drinks and water. Waiter (Ian) came within 5 minutes and took our order and was very attentive throughout the meal. Husband ordered the porterhouse special and I ordered the blackened salmon. Both meals were superb. Will definitely recommend to our Traverse City friends and relatives.

My wife and I chose to eat here on our first night in Glen Arbor. The service was ok, but the food was terrible. We shared the whitefish, a bowl of clam chowder, and each had one drink. The fish fillets tasted very fishy, the rice was the quality of Uncle Bens, and the asparagus had the flavor of dirt. Our bill was $52 without including a tip. If we spent that kind of money in Grand Rapids we could at least have had a decent meal. We both left feeling unsatisfied, hungry, and will never eat there again.

Very good. We ate at Arts and Boonedocks because we didnt know about Western Grill. Huge mistake eating at Arts and Boonedocks. My wife had the ribs, very good and I had pan seared scallops, both were exceptional. We were suspect going in but very pleasantly surprised. If you want mediocre bar food and a limited menu, go to Boonedocks or Arts, if you want good food and choices go to Western Grille.

Hostess told us to wait at the bar and that "it shouldnt be long" to get seated at an outside table. We were very hungry and I asked about how long "not long" was. She repeated "Oh, it shouldnt be long". In the end we waited more than an hour to no avail, until we lost our temper and left after some discussion with the GM about the staff situation in the area....

The server seldom checked on us. Tristan, a different server actually made the service acceptable by giving us refills and clearing our dishes. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. I had a seafood dish that got all over me, it was soup. I pondered that and had to ask the hostess for a spoon lol. My guest had a ribeye dine to perfection.

Terrible service. Server at the bar...Kadie, seamed bothered to wait on us. Had to whistle...which I know is rude, but she never came back to check on us and wasnt even where we could see her. on an up note, the white fish dip is amazing. Probably wont go back...by the looks of other reviews, good service seems to be a problem for this place.
