Poor Customer Service...I order from this restaurant very occasionally...its not that good but they have great chocolate silk pie! Im working today so I thought I would place an order as its right across the street from work. I went to the drivethru to pick up my order. I asked the guy to please double check it. He said he did. When I got back to the office I realized...no pie! I called and they told me they would give me a piece the next time I come in...well I should hope so since I did pay for it. I decided to go back out (in 20 degree weather) to get my pie. I waited for 10 minutes in the drivethru line. The guy gave me a piece of pie. I thought I should either be reimbursed for it or get an extra piece of pie...something for my inconvenience. No way. Not even an apology from either the person on the phone or the guy at the window. When I told him that he said were very sorry...yeah right! It will be a long time before my co-workers or I decide to place an order again. Great pie...bad customer service!

My elderly father and I visited Valley Family Restaurant on 3/22/2016 after my mothers surgery at Genesys Hospital. Me being originally from Flint, but now live in San Diego, CA. for the past 15 yrs have always loved coneys island hot dogs and always raved to my California friends about them. Well after my rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful and racially motivated experience from the manager during my visit, who refused to turn off fast running ceiling fans over our heads that I requested to turn off in 40 degree weather outside, said rudely that my father and I could move b/c they cant turn the fans off. I nor my family or friends will never visit this establishment again. Poor value of customer service and very low class group of management team who obviously dont recognize that my money spent helps keep the power running in the restaurant etc., but I know the managers arent too intelligent to understand that . I deserve better and thats what I seek and demand please do the same and go elsewhere.

I have been a customer here for years, it was the last place I had breakfast with my mom. Today will be the last time I go. I ordered and omelette to go with no toast and add cheddar, minus american cheese, also cook it in Pam. I get back to work and it is made with American and it appears they used there regular buttery oil to make it. I get my omelette this way and the regular cashier never charges me a dollar extra, cause I never get toast. The flippant attitude of the cashier today, again not the regular lady that is so wonderful, is just unbelievable and when I told her I wasnt coming back her responese "ok thank you". Sad to leave but I work to hard for my money.

Update 4-4-15, went on a Saturday night and the place was pretty empty. I had Flint burger and wife had the seafood platter. Burger was good and seafood platter was fine, but she didnt care for the pre packaged tartar sauce. Baklava we had was horrendous. I could wonder if they are gonna survive, the restaurant decor needs updating but the food is pretty good overall, I liked the small salad bar still fresh! Nice older family style restaurant. Real food salad bar is small but clean and fresh. It is about 5 minutes from the airport. Good choice if you dont wanna do chain restaurants.

Good food fast. We go to Valley sometimes twice a week. We like the food and the waitstaff are pleasant. Some have been there for years and get to kinda know you. Restaurant could use some remodeling but thats just superficial stuff. I definitely recommend Valley family restaurant!

The salad bar was sad, just basic offerings. The mixed salads, (potato & spaghetti only), were dry & brown on top. The chicken wrap I had was OK nothing special. Coffee was good with plenty of refills, however even after requesting cream I never received it.

Ive been going here for years. Seldom have I had a problem with anything! Their salad bar is my favorite. They always let the AP Chemistry class from SCHS have breakfast there after their tests and always do a great job serving 25 people!

The service was great management was very helpful with the choices on the menu. The food was great try their olive burger and their barbecue burger. Burgers werent greasy at all it was juicy and very filling best onion rings around.

Dirty. Cold food. Poorly prepared. Mediocre service. Offered a senior citizen discount on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but with both visits with my parents the discount wasnt honored. There is nothing about this place to recommend.

Served a sloppy burger that I had to finish with a fork. Mayo is greasy and tart. Ultra generic restaurant that cant compete with basic coney islands for quality of simple dishes. Just go to Starlight or a chain
