My mission for the 2012 motorcycle season was to find the best breakfast hash in and around the Lowell, MA area. I’ve travelled almost 100 miles for breakfast, but I love hash! I call it my "Hankerin for Hash" motorcycle tour. It’s been mostly diners and I usually sit at the counter. The Country Kettle in West Boylston, MA is a nice place – small, but it has good sized counter seats. The breakfast was very good, but the hash was just average. There were some really interesting seafood selections on the breakfast menu! (I love seafood too!) Gotta go back again! And its a great riding area. Check out the old stone church just down the road on the reservoir.

the Country Kettle is AMAZING! The food was so good: it was perfectly cooked, very generous portions and filling. It has a great atmosphere with the old time dinner feel that you cant get anywhere else. The meals are underpriced and so inexpensive that i tipped extra. Country Kettle is sooooo much better than Copprline. Copperline has lines out the door, its impersonable and the potions are less.

Theres always a bit of a wait, but the Country Kettle is worth it. It takes a while for your order to appear, but when it does, its delicious and made from scratch. Excellent coffee, omelettes, and hash browns. The French toast was tasty but not mind blowing. The menu is a nice size, and Im looking forward to trying out more of their offerings.

Phenomenal food, but the neurotic waitress kept three of us standing around next to an open 4 person table waiting for a three person table to finish eating, pay, put their coats on, the table had to be cleared...all to keep from letting a seat go empty.

Looks like they dont like visitors with kids. The owner was not very accommodating and did not give us a table because it was a table for 2 and they did not want to put extra chair for my 2 years old because of the fire safety. Really?

Always outstanding. Wayne has taken family recipe comfort foods to the next level... They serve what I call the filet mignon of meatloaf! You cant go wrong with anything here.
