My mom and I went today, looking forward to a delicious blueberry Danish crepe that we totally loved in an ihop in Bloomfield, Ct. We had never been the this Shrewsbury place and never will return! My mother didnt want to sit where it was crowded, the space was too small in one end of the restaurant so we were seated where there were a few booths. Looked like where the help took breaks. The carpet was strewn with rubbish. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and it smelled like someone had sprayed chemicals all over, and it wasnt clean. We couldnt find our favorite pancake dish, so Mom ordered Lingonberry crepes, and I ordered what I was hoping to be a bit more healthy meal of fresh fruit on (or in, I was hoping) a rolled crepe. Now in the house of pancakes youd think that the chef would know what the heck a crepe IS! Have you ever seen a crepe folded like a napkin or a wad of papertowel? It had the consistency of rubber. It was supposed to be rolled, and only two on the plate, instead it looked like a pancake trying to be a tortilla or something else. Moms were cooked at least. The "healthy" version I ordered didnt even come on a plate, it came in a soup bowl! The "fresh fruit" consisted on a few slices of banana, one piece of pineapple that didnt taste right, and was sprinkled with granola which had the consistency of sawdust. I asked for the "yogurt" on the side, which was not really yogurt: it was some kind of sugary, artificially colored crap that didnt resemble yogurt at all. I returned the "healthy" dish, and ordered the same as Moms, which didnt look as good as hers at all even. It came with a different topping, and most of it was barely cooked, Yich. Finally the nice waitress realized the dish we had hoped for and surprised us by bringing it. Of course it was too late and it still wasnt cooked properly. That cook just didnt know what the heck a crepe was, and had no finese or class at all. Ick. Ihop and that dish we liked will be one less desire in my ideas of what to eat for a treat.

Well the food is okay to say the least but thats typical ihop for Yah. Friendlys was right across the street but now thats gone. To the previous reviewers comments about ihop not up to your standards heres a newsflash, the cooks are not chefs theyre called short-order cooks, all chain restaurants are basically designed to be the same experience or to offer different experiences, dont call the employees "help" since they are in the restaurant business and arenot to be belittled by people like you. Fast food is fast food,get over urselves and deal with it, btw if ur looking 4 perfectly made breakfast foods go local.

Went to this place with my grandma and my grandma wanted sugar and she had to ask another waitress for her sugar. They burnt my grandmas steak and it was lacking flavor altogether. The waitress was too worried about her friends coming inside to really even serve us. She spent so much time just talking and talking with her friends, she really didnt deserve a tip. My grandmas first experience will be her last, this was my first bad experience with an iHop. Maybe its this one in general, but its small and not all that great.

To offend a three year old because she wanted to share her food with Mother. To then gathering your gang of ratchet waitresses to stare and make comments about the people at my table. To then giving me the life story of another customer. This place is awful and Ive made sure to spread the word. I hope your doors close. Terrible service and your food is average at best.

Had a great breakfast here. The food was delicious. My waitress did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed by asking while we were eating but did it without be overly bothersome. I would definitely go back and recommend it to other people. Even when they are packed you dont have to wait very long. I usually got a table in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Ihop is friggin amazing, how can you say bad, great pancakes and hot chocolate has yummy honey on the bottom! If you say its bad your a gay loser. And how can you say they let friends before customers, they were probably there first, you dont even know if they were freinds, 45 min means it was busy idiot. Ihop is the best you freaks!

Ive never been to this restaurant but as soon as I heard it suggested it I agreed that that might be a bad idea so I googled the reviews and sure enough it was everything I expected it to be ( disgusting )I feel like when you choose the restaurant you should always consider the location , location generally tells you whats to come

Service and food was good,but management needs to take better care of training there staff,poor girl was only one serving and when register went on the blink no one was there to help her it took longer to pay the bill then it did to have dinner had to go and get cash could not pay bye credit card

Small booths and very busy during peak hours. The views are cool, windows on three sides. I have noticed a reduction in entree size over the past couple years though. Overall a great place to eat and good food, especially after a night on the town

I wasnt happy with the service nor food last time I went there. The omelette wasnt well prepared, it was all over the place. I was disappointed, Ill pass on this Ihop location. Youre better off going to the Dennys on Lincoln St.

The place needs a lot of work and alot of organizing. Workers seemed lost and cluttered. Half of the restaurant smelled like bathroom. Food was typical chain breakfast food. The place itself just looks like a mess

They had to swipe my car about 10 times and tried telling me I didnt have money on my car when I had over $100 on the card. And was rude to me and yelled at me when I asked why they did that.

Ive eaten at many IHOPs and always enjoy the food. This one disappointed. Pancakes not fully cooked. Omelette salty. Chocolate almost too sweet. Avoid this one if you can.

Great staff, very friendly and attentive. Meal prices a little on the high side but you do get a nice presentation and some tasty food.
