Guiseppes is closed on Sunday so my family ordered take out from here instead. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived promptly, and was directed to the bar. There were 4 staff behind the bar talking for 45 seconds while I awkwardly waited for them to acknowledge my presence. Finally they took my money, said food would be ready soon. Did not offer drinks or bread or anything. I waited for 40 minutes until I got my food. Food was OK at best -- chicken parm was burned. "Signature" wings were gross, just wings with too much citrus flavor. I dont get the Lebanese-Italian thing they have going on. Summary: overpriced and not as good as the other place in town. If its Sunday and you want Italian, I suggest waiting a day rather than ordering here.

Our first visit to Oreganos and were we surprised. We didnt expect the gourmet quality of food that we received . This place is much more than your average pizzeria. We were with a large party and we ordered several different appetizers. Each one was Delish. The mushroom ravioli and eggplant apps were above par. I had the braised lamb shanks with orzo and it was incredibly fall off the bone tender. I sampled some of the other meals and they were also incredibly delishious, especially the rizzoto. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to have a gormet pizza or full course meal.

I read the other reviews and am astounded--to compare Oreganos to Guiseppes, really? Guiseppes is horrible. I am of Italian decent--Guiseppes tastes like the school lunch interpretation of Italian food. In any event, I am a long time customer or Oreganos. The food is excellent. Love the pasta dishes (and appreciate the gluten-free options.) The pizzas are excellent as are the other entrees. Love the salads. The atmosphere is fun and low key. Excellent drinks. The prices have gone up recently, but it is still a great local hang-out.

Service staff was polite and pleasant, but they were out of the majority of the dishes and beers we tried to order, drinks were brought out late because they couldnt find the bartender (and then they said that all their bar herbs went bad... during the dinner rush), and meals were brought to us missing primary ingredients. The food was okay, but overpriced for the quality. Hoping this was just a bad night for them, but unfortunately i wont be bringing my family back to find out.

This used to be one of our favorites. Until tonight, with our grandkids. The pasta they ordered was brought without the butter they ordered, after having been returned to the kitchen by Vladimir with the sauce they didnt order, the special appetizer was more breading than eggplant the meatballs were dry and tasteless, the pizza was burned at the edge and soggy in the middle. We used a gift certificate given us by a daughter who knew we loved the place, but we wont return.

We have only walked by this place dozens and dozens of times but never went in. Now were glad we decided to try it. One of the best pizza weve eaten in a long time. We ordered the Shrimp Scampi pizza - definitely NOT your traditional or typical pizza - and it was excellent. Our server was efficient, helpful and very friendly. Newburyport has a lot of very good dining options available. Add Oreganos to the list (if it wasnt there already).

An amazing restaurant. Excellent gourmet food. I am an avid food lover and I can honestly say that this place gets an A. After overviewing the menu I couldnt decide on what to eat. There were so many good choices. After talking to the owner I found out that most of the ingredients are fresh or imported from Italy. This place is a must visit in Newburyport. I can see why they won best of north shore twice! Amazing expedite

This was the strangest eating experience first off when I went to the bathroom the door was locked and I heard powertools secondly I heard a buzzing sound the entire time and when I paid my check the owner stopped me and told me that I would miss the show he then jumped on my table and began to dance and on several occasions started scream like a Japanese pilot flying towards a aircraft carrier but overall good food

I live in town and Oreganos has become my go-to place. Sometimes Im there more than once a week. Excellent pizza and so have been eating that for awhile. But recently, tried chicken parm and chicken marsala and they were fantastic. Best appetizer in Newburyport, the Ravioli di Funghi. Also love the egglplant rollatini although it has been a bit too salty lately. Check it out. Excellent food and service.

Nice atmosphere. Good selection of food, and they have lamb burgers!!!! The lamb burger was awesome. Gorgonzola cheese, with fresh red onion a slice of tomato on a glazed bun. Be sure to get it medium its lamb not hamburger. So juicy with a nice crust on the burger. I fell in love with the first bite. This alone moved my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Great food. Extremely tiny space with to many tables. Could openly hear the staff including head cook saying disgusting things about a patron. I was there the whole time never saw anything to warent what he said about the people. Very very very expensive the food matched the prices but the service was very amateur.

The restaurant was on a long wait so we ordered take out. I would rate the chicken Primavera as mediocre, it was bland, nothing special. The chicken on it was charred and over cooked. The tomato mozzarella salad was good, they gave a decent size of mozzarella but forgot to include the balsamic vinegar.

Even with 2 for 1 deal, I thought I paid too much. If you pay almost $40 for two pizzas, youre hoping for the best. Sorry, not even close. The staffs were nice and the atmosphere is great. Either make better pizza or lower the price. But for now, Ill be going to the flatbread in Amesbury.

The smells emanating from this local eatery were overwhelmingly attractive. We had the Caprese salad and a reg. Classic cheese pizza. Both were delicious! Good Value! Traditional flavors! We will be back for sure!

Weve been to Newburyport many times and every time we go there we end up at Oregano for their pizza. Everybody says that they "know the best place to get pizza." They are lying unless they went to Oregano.

Lamb burger very over cooked with bun burnt black. Grape leaves like leather with really salty filling. Staff was nice about it and bill adjusted. Very disappointed though.
