This was the place I chose for my birthday dinner. We live one block away. Despite a chalk board in restaurant announcing January birthdays who were getting free drinks I was told I could not have a free drink on my birthday. Was rudely told I must sign up for birthday drink on facebook and could get a free drink NEXT year on my birthday. Service was horrible though our food was fair. No catsup with fries. Nobody came by to see if food ok. My husband had to go to bar to ask for catsup. This restaurant should rethink advertising birthday drinks in the restaurant and then refusing to give birthday drinks when people inquire. I was so put off by our waitress and the person who delivered our food that I would never go back again. How much bad will did they gain? A lot! A free drink on birthday would have given waitress a good tip and restaurant our undying loyalty. Did not happen.

Had not been in about a year and noticed many changes. The inside was brighter and the deck lighting was much imp[roved. But thats where the good part ends. The menu had changed and not for the better. Much less seafood and more "nouveau" food. Ended up getting fish and chips and clam chowder. The "clam" chowder had corn in it and was peppery. I asked the waitress if it was clam chowder because of all the corn and she stated that that was how they made it. The fish and chips were poor to mediocre. The fish inside a big piece of batter was good. The shoestring french fries were overcooked and greasy. The meager cole slaw was ok. dessert menu was all drinks. Place was 1/2 full on a Friday night, so I guess that says it all.

To the atmosphere comments, the "coat of paint" has been applied - in a big way. New wooden floors, artwork, white walls - giving it the "beachcomber look". The lighting is dimmable now - that should be automatic as the sun sets. The food has changed "Yes!"- and that is always subjective. Serving portions have definitely changed (smaller) . What needs a tweak is the timing of the kitchen/bar and the wait staff.. seems like some "Chris" training needs to be re-instated...a loyal 30+ year patron is hoping they improve in the growing pains of change. Wishing them the best! With some coaching and teamwork, this place should do well. If the disconnect continues, it will be tough during the crunch of the Summer months -

Normal bar fare with a reach that exceeds its grasp. Water view is a bit misleading, as it is of a drainage canal. Above average clam chowder and Mac and cheese. Salads were a bit of a mess, not enough lettuce and way too a much toppings and dressing. Cheese filled pretzel came out burned and literally caked with an enormous amount of salt, with the cheese inside ice cold. Staff was very friendly, but our waiter and the table next to us both had to come back and ask us to repeat orders or brought incorrect items. With a little more focus and attention to detail this place could really shine, but from our visit it seemed like they were trying to do too many things and not executing many of them to completion.

Many reasons why - the server forgot to mention that they were not only out of crab cakes but also lobster rolls! Both of which we tried to order. They forgot to bring us our soup. AND we never received a cocktail menu and only realized they had a menu for cocktails after we ordered beer... The only good thing that happened was soneone else, maybe a manager or owner came out (after we had ordered) to inform us that if we wanted a lobster roll we could wait 10-15 minutes and they would have them ready. In the end the food was OK but if we drive through again, we wont be stopping here. The ambience was good otherwise.

Was in for bingo a few times which was really fun and the food was amazing! The only issue we had was our inattentive bartender that seemed more interested in gossiping with the waitstaff then making our drinks. Well definitely go back in just on a different night.

The bartender was definitely distracted. My wife asked if the bloody Mary was spicy, she said no, but It was about the spiciest one Ive ever tasted. The appetizers were pretty good, and nice beer selection.

Celtic night is sublime. The thimble full of chocolate mousse was distressing. What happened?
