I gave it five stars because this is a nice, well run place with great ambience and character, unlike a certain other coffee seller that just opened down the street. HOWEVER, I have one complaint -- the hours stink. I work a lot in the evenings, and there are basically no evening hours. So I am forced to go to starbucks if I want to stay in town (same problem with coffee haven in Holliston, another coffeeshop with very limited hours). The hours are especially ridiculous on the weekend -- hard to understand why they even bother to open up on a Saturday if their hours are going to be that short. When I made it this past Saturday -- miraculously free during that short period when they are open for the first time, and Ive been in Hopkinton since august -- there were four people working and no customers. Why not have two of the people work at a time and stay open longer? I understand that it is a family operation, but I fear that it will not survive if business doesnt pick up (or at least, that the weekend hours wont survive). With longer hours, more people would be able to visit and that would help you build a clientele. Im sure there are many out there like me that would prefer to go to bittersweet but cant get there when it is open and consequently default to starbucks, the evil empire.

I love this place! Such a wonderful perfect place in downtown Hopkinton. I get the lavender latte that is in season right now. Its my favorite. It is so cozy and inviting. Now that they have a bakery it smells that much better. It is decorated with a mix of antiques and looks similar to what you would find at anthropology. I cannot say enough good things about it here. Servers are very nice as well.

What a fab little gem of a place. Very cozy and laid back with lovely service. Great selection of coffees, pastries and other desserts. Quiche was fantastic. Very reasonable prices. Only improvement would be a larger selection of teas as a personal preference. They also have a book swap corner which is rather fun.

This is a wonderful small-town coffee shop. The drinks are good) and the Greek frappe is something I havent seen elsewhere), the prices are reasonable, the baked goods are top notch, and theres plenty of comfortable seating in the well-kept historic building.

Bittersweet Co. has given the area everything it has been missing, freshly baked pastries, great coffee, friendly staff, and now cold-pressed juice! Its an inviting space for meeting with friends or getting some work done, you will not be disappointed.

I was a first timer today morning. I was super surprised that the menu had several chia seed puddings, and juices on it, besides the usual. I had to try the grapefruit chia pudding and it was delicious! I will definitely go back again!

Fantastic espresso drinks served in a unique, quirky space. Theyre namesake espresso drink is perfect on a hot summer day. Only knock against this place is their business hours are tricky to catch them when they are open.

Amazing coffee place with great ambience and tasteful coffee, pastries, breakfast, etc. My wife and I like this place a lot. The only complaint is the hours. Cant they extend it a couple of hours into the evening?

I went here hoping they would have literally anything advertised on their website. If you want pastries dont waste your time here because they dont have them. They just had a sad selection of cookies when I went.

It is bittersweet that I only drop by once a week on my sales route because the coffee puts Starbucks to shame and the pastries are straight out of a Parisian patisserie.

Under new management now, they have more food options available then when they first opened, but it still is very expensive with small portions. Minimal seating.

Awesome espresso. Always get a double just before start of marathon. Never run faster. Cool vibe and super friendly but never obsequious.

Cool selection of healthy goods and nice place to meet a friend. Cappuccino was way too weak for my tastes, though.
