I am a customer of about 10 years and eat here once a week. I have eaten most items on the menu at least once. Every restaurant has three qualities which are important to me including food quality, service, and ambiance in that order. Basically, Ill put up with anything for good food... Im from New Orleans which is basically the slowest service in the world plus some of the filthiest conditions. Ambiance of this sandwich shop is above average. Every shop gets a pass on one flat screen television especially if it has subtitles only and you can sit someplace and not watch it. The colors are stimulating but not garish. The decor is easy to keep clean while still being inviting. The art is not too kitschy, too nice, or too thought-provoking. The music is good and never too loud. The fellow clientele are a mix of younger professionals at lunch and also people "stepping out" to meet friends and grab a bite. There are a fair number of singles as well. The service is always satisfactory, quick, and efficient... the disposition of the server can be detected and the interaction is not overly curated. Just decent younger people doing their thing until the real thing happens. The food quality is excellent. Beer is available. I recommend the specials of the day... with the fried fish sandwich being a stand-out. The chili is decent, salads are fine, and the deviled eggs rival my wifes. The Corned-Beef Reuben is fantastic and the Inigo Montoya (homage to the Princess Bride) is great but I add sriracha which is right there if you need it. On your way out, grab a free Oreo (my maximum is three) from the cookie jar and go about your day feeling extremely well taken care of and... a little guilty for the free Oreos... Kudos to the bar.

This place is amazing! Best sandwiches around. Stumbled upon this place when I first moved to the area and have loved it ever since. The Atomic Meatloaf cannot be topped. The Reuben is amazing. Pastraminator, Cubano, Chili cheese dog, beef of wreck, tuna melt...all phenomenal. Even my vegetarian friend loves the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Havent tried all the daily specials but the philly steak and croque monsuir are awesome as well. I havent even mentioned the best part. Ill always change up my sandwich depending on what im feeling but I always get an order of the buffalo fingers. They have the BEST buffalo sauce and the hunks of chicken are top notch, damn I need to get some tonight. The Funky sandwiches are also really good especially the jerk island chicken sandwich. Love this place!

This was my first time they are in got my order to go. I order the roast beef special and didnt look at the price I got my receipt and it was over $12 for the sandwich alone. so with tip it came to 15.00. I would have been okay with that but my sandwich was a sloppy mess it was essentially just pork and coleslaw on a hamburger bun for $13. I think that is ridiculous. Also my coleslaw had a tiny black hair in it. I noticed none of the chefs wear gloves. The sandwich was not bad mind you, thats why I gave it some stars. Im in Cambridge every day during the week and I can say that I will not return. First impressions mean a lot.

The sandwich is king at All-Star. Check out their funky-fresh options, golden classics and rotating specials. They make most of their stuff in house and have some great and unusual combinations. Great vegetarian options as well. The menu has gotten less hectic over the years, with less daily variety, but this my go to place anywhere. ALWAYS get the veggie side of the day. Cant say enough good things about this place. The bucket of oreos on the counter is free- take one!

If you want a REALLY good sandwich then this is the place to go. The place is really relaxed and the servers are friendly...but most importantly the food is awesome. Ive had a variety of sandwiches here; cubano, beef on weck, chicken parm and have never been disappointed. They have a funky sandwich which changes daily and is always delicious. The only downside of this cute little place is that its little and can get tight on a busy night.

Fun corner restaurant serving a large selection of sandwiches. I opted for the burger (mostly because I was craving french fries). The burger was cooked exactly as I ordered, however they packed the meat a little too tightly so it was a little dry for my taste. The fries were disappointing, had no seasoning to them. But the pickle and slaw were very tasty. The staff was very friendly, they have *free!* Oreros, and the portions are generous.

Sandwiches are genuinely incredible. So is their jam burger. Dont bother getting their fries, they are stringy and soggy, but everything else in the restaurant that I have tried, I have loved. Their meatloaf sandwich may be the best thing ever created. (I thought I hated meatloaf.) As a New Yorker I can say they do a rueben proud. Sandwiches are on the expensive side and dont include a side, but they do include a yummy pickle :)

There are not a lot of places to eat lunch in Inman Square. Or least thats how it seemed to me and Colleen B. We went there on Friday around 2pm and almost nothing was open. So sad! But alas, All Star Sandwich to the rescue! A pitcher of Sangria and some delicious sandwiches and poutine and we are happy lunching ladies. Friendly service and super delicious breads and meats, I am a fan! Yay All Star Sandwich, Ill be back!

This is the only place (that I know of) to get the classic Buffalo "beef on weck!" (I lived in Rochester for five years, so beef on weck was very easy to find around there.) Its a fantastic roast beef sandwich on a kimmelwick bun. I love it. The menu is a bit pricey, but the sandwiches are huge, unique, and tasty. Its a fun spot. I look forward to trying their new sister restaurant, the All Star Pizza Bar.

There turkey club passes my husbands taste buds (which is interesting), my favotite is there latin lovers salad & distinctive fries! Thursday s daily is amusing as well. I think there prices are fair and though they are a bit small. Character explodes as its not your regular cheesecake factory kind of nice but fake-ish ordeal. Going there makes me happy and that deserves a review.

Fabu-lous, from start to finish!! Staff was courteous, acknowledged allergies with no hesitation, the large variety of fun food options was "Extra Funky", and we both left with full bellies and a doggie bag to boot. (Sorry pooch you arent getting a sniff of this!) We WILL be returning for sure... I try to look for a negative wherever I go; so..... the table wobbled.

Overpriced and small. Everyone that walked in was confused after they ordered a slice. It lists on the big board how much extra it is for a topping on a full pizza. But everyone thought it was how much you paid for a slice. I was mind boggled after I paid $11.75 for two slices of pepperoni and a 12oz Long Trail. Way too small, overpriced, and the pizza wasnt that great.

Needed to find a quick seat-and-eat with a friend for lunch. The food at All Star turned out to be surprisingly good, definitely better value for money than a lot of the generic/chain sandwich alternatives. And as a major plus, their fries were actual freshly cut potatoes. You cant beat that. Id defn recommend it, and would go back if in the area...
