Someone had brought in a bunch of Tattes baked goods for an office event and they were lovely. I had to go in and see what this place was about. CUTEST space ever. Black and white for the main colors with touches of wood and hardware to home up the place. The chandelier gives you so much light. The service was great. The person behind the counter was both bright and cheerful. I ordered a blueberry hazelnut muffin and the roast beef sandwich. When I got my sandwich I discovered the only downside Ive seen of this place...the sandwichs enormity. This really isnt a downside, its just a cautionary note. 1 sandwich = two meals. I defy people to make it one and then pity for their foolhardy arrogance. Bring a wheel barrow and a friend to push you home if youre going to try this. The sandwich was great, crisp french fried onions, mild emmental, cress, and rare roast beef. What could be better! All in all, I have to say that this place has amazing baked goods. I could eat one of the blueberry hazelnut muffins every day. Not too sweet, full of blueberries, nice balance with the nut. All I have to say is, Get you one!

Hello perfect French Bakery. How I have searched for you in Boston since I returned from France to no avail. This is the perfect french bakery. The interior is super cute and everything, I mean everything sounds delicious. When I went, they had a great selection of pastries as well as tarts. Their lunch menu of sandwiches, salads and soups also looked divine. Fig and Goat Cheese, Tomato Mozzarella all on gorgeous versions of bread-I was in heaven. I cannot remember the flavors of quiche but they stood out to me as well. I settled on their chocolate rose warmed up and was not disappointed but again it was not perfect Coffee--They serve illy coffee which is delicious!!! They do boules for coffee as well which is great. Their espresso drinks looked alittle overpriced but their drip coffee wasnt that bad. Overall, a piece of Paris in Brookline, Ill take it.

I visited this tiny Tatte at least a dozen of times and always left with mixed emotions. Its a very small place and theres not a lot of tables and sitting spots. Its almost always extremely crowded with people waiting for free spots and standing in the middle, blocking the way to the counter. Its incredibly loud, too. The service is often rude and visibly untrained. It seems like an accidental group of people who were just hired. They are certainly not helpful and do not really fit with the image of a European-style patisserie/bakery which Tatte supposedly aims for. The only good thing about Tatte are the pastries which are so wonderful that they kept me coming back willing to go through the noise, crowds, and bad service.

They expanded the location so its much more spacious than before. Its great sitting out on the sidewalk too-since the road is so wide over here the sidewalk is quite large too and they have a lot of tables out. I am always a fan of their pastries, in particular I like the fruit boxes and the cream cheese pinwheel croissants. They use those eco friendly to go utensils which break really easily (I would suggest taking extra or definitely using the real silverware if youre staying). It is very chilly inside, their AC is set for a lower than comfortable temperature. Edit: removed a star because of the low temperature and service mix ups

They have hearty sandwiches and pastries - they are very flavorful and big in size. What you should get (for breakfast/brunch): - Any croissant. These croissants are the flakiest Ive had in a while, and make a complete buttery flake mess. But its amazing. - Breakfast sandwich: the sourdough bread is HUGE. Honestly, I took a slice off because it was so much. But its good to know Tatte thinks I can eat that much. Once again, everything on the sandwich is very rich and full of flavor, with crunch from the bacon, and softness in the bread. - Any latte (I got an almond milk latte) in a "for-here" cup.

Very very disappointing experience for an outrageous price. Ordered 2 bf sandwiches which were dripping with oil and the cheese had absolutely no taste. A latte was served lukewarm and they forgot about the drip coffee we ordered ehich we had to remind them about. Apple croissant was definitely not fresh at least a day or two old. These items amounted to 31$. The cashiers have the audacity to ask for a 15-20% tip when this is NOT a full service place. You even have to clear your tray, so what is the service Im paying for? Dunkin donuts would be much bettee and definitely cheaper!

Love this place. Everything here is delicious from the pastries (especially the pistachio croissant) and coffees to their breakfasts and lunches. The best bakery in the area. I love the local cozy feel it has in the winter and the outdoor seating in the summer months. The only downside is that it gets packed at peak hours and service can be a little slow at those times so you have to plan accordingly. I go every time Im nearby. Highly recommend this for a coffee, snack, or a full meal.

This coffee shop and bakery is absolutely adorable. Cozy vibe with music and open layout. Lattes were great, and not too sweet. Ordered two pastries (lemon mint tart and chocolate pistachio croissant) and both were amazing. Was a bit crowded, but service was quick and we were able to grab a seat by the window and hang out for a bit. They have the wifi password posted by the coffee bar, looks like a lot of people bring laptops and stay awhile, but it was a bit loud to do work.

Excellent pastries and decent coffee, but you definitely are paying a premium, even by Bostons standards. 10 dollars for a breakfast sandwich is absolutely insane! Some places downtown arent even charging half that!! If you are looking for some unique pastries for a gift or party, this is a great option for that, but the food is not worth the price. Also, the service is definitely spotty...sometimes friendly...sometimes confused as to why you are trying to order food...ummm hello?

Everything Ive tried here has been wonderful. Their lunch selection is small, but you cant go wrong with a mozzarella/basil panini. The lattes and breakfast in general are a great way to start the day. The place is small (with limited outdoor seating), but its still worth it to get takeout even if the takeout experience isnt the same. A few of the things they do are fairly unique, such as the large nut tarts they make. Their croissants are the best Ive had in the Boston area.

Apparently this is Stumptown Coffees Brookline outpost. Food looked good, although, as usual, Im here for the coffee. Service was quick, albeit a tad brusque. This place is clearly a bakery first and foremost, no hipster bro-risa sausage fest here! My iced espresso tastes just fine. Ill update this review when Ive been back to try something else.

Pros: best pastry in Boston; nice decor. Overall a must try. Cons: baristas have no clue how to make espresso drinks or hot sipping chocolate, and theyre very slow. Its obvious that nobody trains them. Also, their savory snacks are lame. The music alternates between Amelie soundtrack and disco music: inconsistent and annoying.
